Thread: Friday Feature Jan 30 Imperial Crackdown and Chef Revamp
The 60mins to have the item you ate be removed from a stomach will make alot of people on both sides unhappy.ALot of people already eat and beleive it or not alot of people play this gamea and never read at forums. Dr's can buff you imediately after you buff wears off.. You can use spice like 3 or 4 mins after it wears off..
People who play this game already pay a penalty by constantly having to to pay usually moderate to high amounts of credits for these buffs whether it be food or otherwise. The buffs dont come free.
How about making the time limit more realistic.. say 15- 30 mins .. possibly depending on what food it is??
A compromise .. it keeps people from continually being too powerful .. too buffed.. but doesnt kill a chef ..
You can eat a banana ( no Im not implying anything ) and be hungry 10 mins later or have a candybar and not be hungry for much longer..
No , im not a Chef.. Im Master Commando

Are they putting a way for us to tell what guns have been sliced?
Ditto! This info should have been there in the first place.
Examining the weapon or armor should show what was sliced: Damage, Endurance orEffectiveness and what percent.
Otherwise, this stuff sounds really great. I can't wait to see the changes to Bestine.
Double Ditto...not being able to tell if a weapon is sliced and being punished for it SUCKS!
I still would like to see the AT-AT put in as an npc somewhere vs. some random GM event.
GM events in SWG are lame because only a handfull of people get to interact. I have been playing since beta and have never seen an event so to me it's a waste of time if that's the only way you can see AT-AT.

Can I get a Little Clarification please:
The biggest obstacle they face are the smugglers. It has been rumored that smugglers can help cloak Rebels and contraband from Imperial searches in Cantinas...
The blurb about buffs: I don't really care if I can see what buffs the target player has, I want to know when I will be able to rebuff someone who has either been buffed by an Enhance-A griefer or been booted offline and lost his good buffs but the timer bug is still running?
Either get the ability to overwrite buffs into the game asap or allow players to use a /removeEnhancement type of command so we can rebuff them to bypass both the griefing and the (way too long standing) logoff/server boot bug.
And, then let our brothers in the entertainment classes buff themselves as we Docs and Smugglers and Chefs already do.

Regarding the Crackdown: Read the tons of posts where the community has, in near unanimous agreement, said that we do not intend to stand for the penalties that were proposed.
The economy is too well developed now for you to come in and cause this kind of a stir by outlawing our sliced items. Heck, I have a crate of sliced lasrer rifles, half a crate of laser carbines, plus VK's and a host of other weapons--and every stinkin one of them is sliced. I won't even consider playing a game that penalizes me for using the gear that I already have spent my time and credits acquiring. The immersive desire behind this idea does not offset the seemingly awful effects on the community. And just try to find a doctor who wants to go to Lok for wheat for all of our meds/buffs/stims after this debacle.
Creative thought, but in practice this is a bad idea. You lost the opportunity to acclimate the consumer to this when you left (official) Beta.

That's the idea, I think. Slicing is supposed to be illegal modification - it should come at a risk. If you don't like risk, don't let smugglers screw with your stuff. And if you're an Imperial, you should be obeying the Empire's laws. (I envy you, though - you get to sit in starports and shoot TEFed rebels caught with contraband!)

Although much of the information on the next publish has already gotten around by being on Test Center, we figured it would be a good idea to call out the features in an easy to digest format.

Why I can't find this page from the main site? I have beenlooking everywhere, i just didn't find it!
Maybe people, who aren't subscribers, would be interested too, and would buy the game, if they read it....
