I'm no Jedi either, and I totally agree with you man.

Devs/QA/Whomever, please please please, I implore you to read, consider, and put into practice the opinons and thoughts of the people in this forum and not completely ignore them in order to put out a finished product.

It's very obvious there are many people out there unhappy with the new publish. The majorityof thembeing mature people who choose not to just say "This sucks I quit", but rather take the time to post here because they are CONCERNED about the direction the game is going in. These are your "valued customers", people who care enough to post their constructive criticism because 1) They care about where their money is going and 2) Because it gives you a good pulse of the community (Use it!!). I don't want this to be another PlanetSide where patch after patch people become steadily more unhappy with the game while the devs seem to be impervious to suggestions and comments.

In short, I urge you to please at least acknowledge you are reading these posts and not putting these topics up as a token effort to let everyone's problems fall on deaf ears.

But hey, thats just me.

I am somewhat shocked noone could forsee the issues that have already risen from the light jedi way of advancment. It has succeeded in disbanding a very well known rebel guild and destroyed a town due to every single jedi leaving to go to dark. Not sure if this was intentional or not but from a players stand point it isnt very well thought out.

I am not sure about everyone else, but from my point of view, the whole problem with voting is this.

With Duel, there is one winner and one loser. Sure after hundreds of duel there might be that same winner and 100 loser, but it happen one at a time. And each duel happen when both side of duel are ready and both side are actively engaged in the process as well as the outcome. Both side know whey they won/lost When you are a loser, you lose due to your action and nothing more.

Simply put, when you lose in duel, the Jedi character you are playing lost.

With voting there is one winner and lot of loser. Winner might know why he won, but most likely no one will be quite sure why someone won and why another lost. Winner might or might not feel that lot of people like them, but loser will sure to feel that there are lot of people who do not like them. You did not lose because of what you did, you lost because of who you are.

Simply put, when you lose in a vote, YOU, the one sitting behind the computer lost.

Perhaps I am just reading way too much into this.

Anyway too late to change now.

As it stands right now, this jedi revamp is no where near ready to go live.

Plz consider the following. Jedi have far and away the highest exp cost of any profession. It took me only about 5 weeks to open my slot. But I was one of the lucky ones. Some have and still are trying to get their slot. That is well over half a year just to get your slot. I unlocked my slot back in Dec and it took me till about May to complete my training. That is half a year of doing nothing but lvling to be jedi master. Which thru game bugs I was never able to achieve. All along we have complained about bugs in the system. Some were fixed and a lot were just plain ignored.

Now rolls in the new jedi system. All our hopes were running high. Well since the new system has been revealed I have lost 2 Guardians 4444 from my guild and game. These guys loved the game but just could not stand it anymore. This publish is no where near ready to go live. And you guys know it. I can accept a few bugs here and their. But we are not talking about a few bugs. Almost the entire system still needs to be tweaked an adjusted. We have been trying to bang away and help you test the system. But we stand around and wait. But a lot of us still log in everyday to try and help to make the new system what it should be. When this publish goes live you are asking us to pick all our skills in 5 minutes. That is six months of work in 5 minutes. When we do not know what changes will be made, or how they will alter things if the system is ever finished. Which we not see on TC2 as intended.

To let this publish go live will be nothing more than a slap in the face to every jedi or jedi hopefull. Cancel the publish date. Fix the problems on TC2 as you should do. Before you even think about letting this go live. No one will care if it is delayed a few more weeks. I know that I would be a lot more happier If I have to wait a little while longer to get a better product then to get one that is half down. All major publishes should be this way.

A grp on Shadowfire completed the Death Watch bunker and was unable to make the Mando helm after a lot of time and effort put into it. They were not abe to make it because bugs still existed. I read posts on test center about the same thing. But you pushed it to live, bugs still intact.

I imagine lot of people will prefer this published to be pushed back a bit as well, but chances are that Dev will see this as "good enough to publish and hot patch after live" come 22nd.

One of most important aspect of test players are their willingness to help. They waited hours patiently and tested aspect of game that were asked to be tested. When they got killed for FRS it was all for the purpose of test.

But when it go live it will NOT be the case. Jedi will still need the FRS and it will come from killing players who will not be happy. I see it as every single point of FRS generated in live also generate one point of unhapiness. And set amount of FRS will be lost from system every minute, forcing Jedi to generate more.

I am worried that for first few days of patch, the majority of FRS will come from unweary GCW overt who are unaware that now they are the hunted. They will be hunted to extinction and soon most will go covert.

Then most Jedi would run around in their normal characters until they find some hot spot of GCW. They will swap into their Jedi, rush over there and farm few points of FRSas long as they can beforerunningout when other Jedi start to show up.

Current Jedi in live servers are master at avoiding people. After this patch, any non FRS Jedi would go neutral and stay neutral until they enter FRS I'd think.

I see lot of FRS being farmed first couple of days after live, then it will dry up really fast until it is far FAR less than what would require for any Jedi to keep even their first rank.

But it seems like we are already into "Things will turn out for the best, no one can know what will happen until we push it live and see what happen, and if we need to we will fix it" mode of production.

Don't get me wrong. I think FRS is a unique idea and council is so very SWG. I am not saying that FRS SYSTEM wouldn't work,I am just so not sure of system based on generating unhapiness of players.
No offense guys,

But do you really think the devs are going to listen to any of this?
Honestly? Not at all, but maybe the devs will surprise me and actually show some sign that they are actually considering these opinions. Maybe a post by a dev beyond the simple token topics to acknowlege that they are reading.

Even then reading is differentfrom actuallyputting into practice.

Then again, the happy people are always the people that are busy playing the game and not commenting on the forums. But yet again, they are also the quickest people to get ticked off when something changes in the gamethey haven't read about in advance (they were busy playing the game)

Just my observations.

Having Jedi permaovert is quite the opposite of Jedi in hiding...also, forcing light Jedi to advance based on player voting makes it too dependent on politics and people are going to go dark because of this...oh, and please make sure the dark Jedi aren't stronger than light as I fear will become true

I have a bad feeling about this nerf

On the daily maintenance few required to maintain a rank. Giving each server has different volume of player and action when it comes to PvP action, why not change the daily maintenance based on # of PvP deaths on a server times Rank level as a %.

This is just an example actaully % would have to be adjusted.

Server 1 has 1000 PvP deaths, Player is rank 1 (10% of 1000 = 100) So maintaince would be 100
Server 2 had 100 PvP deaths, Player is rank 1 (10% of 100 = 10) So maintaince would be 10

This would keep all the server even based on the play and wouldn’t require any dev work with changes #'s on each server.
You could even do a weekly total and change it once a week.

Just an idea
