Hehe, that's what makes it a bug, TH.

It is supposed to not happen with faction deaths, but it doesn't always work that way.

I'm told this happens on the third incap - - is this correct?

Yes its on the 3rd death within a short time frame. What happens is that if you are incapped repeatedly and quickly the system slays you to avoid a constant incap loop and griefing. But not its being used to grief slow armor decay into battles.

PS any word on fixes for the Group Tef wars? I know this is a major issue for a lot of people.

TH, third incap deaths do not always result in decay. I have been griefed by players who waited to kill me with a 3 incap death, and I did not take decay.

I did notice that when I was killed when poisons/diseases were used, that's when I took decay on all items, AND had to reinsure.

oh, and an extinguisher would make more sense then a blanker

Those look like really good changes.

One other idea would be to make turrets tougher. Especially large ones. I was able to wreck a small block turret with just pixie and some food. No doc buffs at all. Although I like to think I'm a badass commando, I shouldn't have been able to do this. Atleast I don't think I should have. You shouldn't be able to solo any turrets, much less w/o buffs.

We're watching things, but with the changes so far, the turrets should feel pretty tough.

Just so we're comparing apples to apples, what does your character look like and what kind of damage were ya doin? (Do you keep your combat spam window open?)

I wasn't watching muchbut my ham and the turret's health so I wasn't seeing exact damage. I was seeing my health go down faster, but not fast enough to worry me. I had loads of time to heal.

Just a mastercommando/mastersmuggler/novicemedicwith a junky launcher pistol (2.2speed 215max). I tried Last Ditch some, but since I don't have any pistoleer it's not fast enough. I used a couple rockets, but they were taking too much ham so I went back to the launcher pistol. I was healing sometimes, but not as often as I should have been. My armor is enc sliced 80kin/70base just like most long-time players use, except thehelmet which is 38stun/60base. I know I used 2 shots of brandy and some pre-nerf ryshcate. My focus was very buffed and the heals weren't costing much. The only thing I got low on was action and I think that's because I used too many rockets at the beginning.

If it helps: When it was done i had around 40 wounds to a couple stats and atleast 20 wounds on all. Also 100+ bf from the fight. I took lots of damage just not enough fast enough to kill me.

Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country. - Hermann Goering

I have died 5 times in pvp since decay was supposed to go away...each time I took decay. each time my items uninsure...none of these deaths were from 3 incap. ONE of the deaths might have been a sniper ranged DB (which causes this problem from what I have read on the forums)

the rest of the DB's I took were while I was incapped laying there...someone runs up and DB's me...I sit around and wait for a REZ...can't find one so I clone...I am finding on the forums people talking about if you lay around as a corpse too long...when you clone you take decay because the system seems to forget that you died in pvp.

You should try reading the GCW forum and you would've known about this and hundred's of other problems with PVP. I've never seen a Dev response in there to anything except the "+" thread. If you want PVPers to stay in this game alot of these problems need to be fixed.

Could be. 3x incapping is a relatively popular strategy these days for a couple of reasons.

One, in raids it keeps a combatant out of combat longer which is a popular way to handle CM's. Two, whether in raids or one-on-one it is used as a way of forcing decay. Lastly, it's often used as a way to waste somebodies time while showering them with insults before sending them to the cloning center.

TH, here are a few examples of my experience with decay:

1. DB'ed by covertoften has lead to decay and reinsurance.

2. DB'ed and recloning in NPC city cloning facilitysometimes leads to decay and reinsurance.

3. 3 incap kill ALWAYS leading to decay and reinsurance.

I'm seldom 3cap griefed, and I'm always overt when fighting. I can't remember last time I "GTEF'ed".....And I have gotten about 20-30% of my deaths so far with decay...So, 3 in 10 deaths....Sometimes more..Sometimes less. The most frequent one, is the one where you are DB'ed by a covert ninja db'er..(GTEF)...

As for the "clone in npc city decay", its not too often, for me its been about 3 times...

So, there are some underlying bugs with the "factional PvP no decay"...Some are easy to track..some are less easy to track..or even prove grrrr

Not to be a smart-ass, but this is actually wrong.. I've personally seen at least 2 bodies of water deep enough to extinguish flames on Tatooine.. even heard rumors of a thirdone

Evidently, you didn't read this :

Tatooine actually has4 bodies of water. So HA!

Heh, did I mention I also fight wearing a stormtrooper armor?.....Those bugs are really annoying when you wear a 17,5k FP armor...Worn out 5 sets, working on set 6 and 7 right now..on 2 servers......I'm such a sucker for Imperial looks....

The decay, is on my top 10 list of "annoying bugs that drive me nuts"......Supply me with Factional armors, and I volunteer to be the devs "Live" test dummy for this...I'm a commando, so I wont hurt you guys much in return *grin*
