I dunno, maybe im an old cynic, it just seems to me they are trying to make players go 'oooooh' over things they've done no work or invested no time in whatsoever

The anti-decay kits will not kill the armor/weapon market. If you only run around with one weapon, then you're either a non-combat class, or a teras kasi. I carry 18 pieces of armor (PvP/PvE). I can only keep one of those 18 pieces from decaying.
and there went a 7th of return business allready. And thats only one profession! When all the other professions use the kit on their most used weapon I foresee a drastic decrease in the need for weaponry.Look how many Droid engineers that are around, want the same to happen to AS and WS?
If they changed the kit so that it decreased the decay by % or something like that Id feel better about it. But this is just bad for the game IMO
It is for only one item. It will not affect weapon sales at all. I am pretty sure most will be used on a very good looted weapon (or with very good looted components). Also people change professions all the time so then they would need another weapon anyway.
and one weapon is all youll need if it never decays

"Good Riddence..we need to get rid of an many people that aren't here for Star Wars."
Yeah, too bad for SOE, but I ain't here for 1) grind to jedi, 2) pay them lots of money because the game is named STAR WARS Galaxies.
Anyho, it really isn't much in the gamethat give you the Star Wars-feeling...
SOE isn't the ones naming their characters stupid names and running around saying "I pwnd j00" Those things are more anti-Star Wars than anything (ps..I'm NOT saying you do those things..just illustrating that the things that kill the Star Wars feeling the most do NOT come from SOE but from the idiot players.

Remember, all this talk of "only needing one weapon" is based on SWG pre-CURB. That very well may change.
that may be, but I dont know what this CU will be like, so I can only talk from the expiriences I have now.
And noone knows when it will hit live it could very well be yet another ½ year before we see the CU.
Yes ranged people need more than one damage type, but melee people are half the marked and taking them out is sure to be something that will be noticed. Id like to know that the devs are at least considering this and dont make hasty decissions without reflecting upon the impact onthe player controlled economy.
- The self powered harvester is actually a kit that can be used on any harvester. We will update the Veteran Rewards page to reflect that.
- Still looking into how the anti-decay kit works with powerups and PSGs.

I am guessing they are for decor only...but it would be nice if there was some sort of functionality with them
