Good. They shouldn't have been in the game in the first place, and definitely not as common as they still are today. Star Wars is big story ultimately focused on the redemption of Anakin Skywalker, that is set to a backdrop ofspace, droids, varying races, mystical force powers, an opressive government, and the struggle to overthrow it. Look at this list and count how many are prevalent in this game. Count how many timescreaturesare in this list.

My wife doesn't play Galaxies, and she is only vaguely familiar with the Star Wars movies. Thesix things she does recognize about Star Wars are Storm Troopers, Darth Vader, C3PO, R2D2, Ewoks, and Chewbacca. I CRINGE every time I have to explain to her why I am playing a dinosaur computer game.

Creature Handlers were a horrible neccessity when the game first launched because probots were nerfed to the point of uselessness, however, creatures still made hunting much more tolerable. I am a Master Creature Handler myself, and it's clear nowthat the profession is being made distasteful to get players to migrate away from the class. As long as they beef up droid handlers to fill the void I am all for it, because at least the game will start to feel more like Star Wars.

After reading all the droid engineer posts this was a slip !! Sorry, I really meant to say droid engineers. I hate the idea of a droid handling class.

Posts requesting the removal of the CH profession are just as mind numbingly ignorant as posts demanding droids remain weak for fear of rendering CH obsolete. CH is here to stay, and droids are here to stay, so all you whining simpletons can cease your slapfight and stop demanding what will NEVER happen.

Tensions are running high TH because you either a) lied directly to the playerbase, or b) are so out of touch with the issues that you are here to gather information on that we all have wasted our time even bothering to attempt communication. We went through three rounds of, "What do you want," and were completely ignored.

You clearly said, that "The timetable was changed because the Droid Engineers were very clear in telling me they wanted Droid Engineering and Droid Handling as two seperate professions." That simply was not true, and you have yet to either apologize for misrepresenting us or admit that you were not correct in the first place. Instead, you say we "had a change of heart".

Again, for the third time, I ask you TH - to show us where we were so very clear - because I sure as heck missed it.

The only misinterpretation was on your part, and you are darn right people are reacting strongly. How is one to act positively when some of us have been waiting more than six months for all the promised additions and enhancements, sticking by the profession, only to be told that a) we weren't listened to anyway, and this DH thing was the way we are going, and b) that we overwhelmingly asked for something we did not.

I'm taking "for those that want to keep at it" as meaning it's futile at this point. You guys are going to do what you are going to do, and the criteria you set forth above by it's very nature can only be accomplished by a new profession.

I see absoultely nothing positive here, TH. You promised to fix OUR profession. Last time our profession took a hit it was because combat pets were taken away from us and handed to CH's on a sliver platter. This time, you want to make a whole new profession for our combat droids - limiting our audience by a factor of 30.

If only a tiny percentage of players are going to get to use these droids - don't bother adding them. Do what's best for the WHOLE playerbase, and add content for EVERYONE, not just a few players who may or may not pick up this profession, which will be admittedly sparse and content-free.

If those are the only options, then drop the idea. Fix our profession. To heck with combat droids. Give us the slicing droids, the entertainer droids, the survey droids that we have been begging for to give Droids something to benefit professions other than crafters and medics.

It is an insult to our profession that you are even considering creating a new droid profession before the first one is even 3/4 complete.

It's a shame that it's come to such a point - but after waiting all this time, I'm not just unimpressed, I'm pretty disgusted. I have wasted a monumental amount of time supporting the droid profession, both in and out of game, waiting for the promises to be kept. Now I'm told that you guys want to concentrate on a new droid profession instead, and the one I have been championing and playing for so long is going to remain in the same state it was when we launched. On top of it all, we are told that we wanted this - just insult after insult.

I'd love to be able to find something positive here, but I just can't see anything of the sort. I hope the new DE's that come in when you loose all of us Vets over this enjoy the profession and can make something of it in spite of the Dev teams fundamental lack of understanding of what droids are, and should be.

Six months is a very long time, TH. I know you haven't been in your position that long, but we have been in ours. You can call this anything you want - I just call it fed up. To be asked, "what do you want?" at this point, again, after all of this - just doesn't have words to describe it.

Idea

It would be nice if we could purchase tickets for entire trips. IE, if I was in Naboo, why can't I buy the ticket from Corellia to Dantooine? That way I can just hop onto the shuttle, instead of running to the ticket booth between flights.

As of right now i'm in the MED center, and once again I can't get healing, because all the doctors are AFK macroing on someone who is Tumbling for tips.

Either put in an NPC healer at all the med centers or stop the macroing.

It's getting to the point that this entire game can be mostly played AFK.

If you want to keep macro's, then put in the NPC's to do the job that the players no longer seem to want to do.

regarding DH/DE ideas.....

why not stick with sw continuity... after a driod was programmed and assigned to a master... the only thing the master had to do was know how to talk to it..... "attack them!".... "get in formation"... etc....

so TH, what do the dev's think about this idea: no driod certs (except for very advanced driods), but instead make heavier combat driods cost more to buy and more to maintain... make the heavier driods very special purpose, not something you'd want out all of the time but instead for special circumstances... that is make them vulnerable to quite a few types of attacks...

Because of the vulnerabilitys and the high costs to buy and high costs to maintain, they would not be exploited. Adding new combat driods is just like adding vehicles..... vehicles allow people to make more mission credits faster, so they added vehicle maintenance costs...... add new combat driods without certifications, but add high maintenance costs and high purchase costs to the driods.

And TH... what are the dev's doing about the fact that combat driods are outlawed by the empire during this timeline? I think that the combat driods should be factional and even smuggled. This give's DE a part in the GCW because they can make special purpose driods for imperials or try to make illegal driods for the rebels. Smugglers could be tied into it as well.

ok i am walking throught theed overt(rebel mind you) and this noob guys says if i go overt will u diel me and i say sure i can always use some faction points. so i get my senior marine or marine don't rember what it was. and the dude comes back and says oh ok so were doing faction pets and i think well he only has a cdef pistol y not so i say yes. he when to the guy goes overt and comes back with a AT-ST. he sends the at-st on my marine kills it and then sends it on me he never even shoots his gun. Supposedly his guild gives everyone enought fp to go imp and buy a at-st. So i think it's stuipid that a noob like that can get a at-st and even thou i can get one (if i was imp cause i have enought fp). rebels don't have that kinda power so the noob wins. and one say stuipid so instead of working on a at-at for imp give the rebels sum bigger guys!

I wanted to get a discussions started on an issue that i've been hearing more of lately. Vendors are having trouble with special orders. When they put them on a vendor in a backpack label'dsomething like "Krayvex's Special Order", players who the order is not intended for are comming up and buying them. This has caused my server's already overworked crafters to try something new.

They've been placing backpacks that look like special orders on their vendor at absurd prices and just putting a bunch of trash in the backpack. They're using their alt's names or the names of friends so there's no way the order will be picked up by someone thinking the order is for them.

Players are actually buying them! 8 survival knives for 500K isn't a good deal, but they shouldn't have taken an order that's not their's.

I asked a CSR and another player asked a different CSR and both gave about the same response.

"Junior's Special Order" is an ok thing to name this bag of expensive trash. This is a case of the buyer, by purchasing this, is taking a huge chance and shouldn't be doing it.

"Junior's Special Order of 80% Composite" is not an ok name for anything other than 80% composite. This is misleading and fraud if there's anything other than the stated armor in the bag.

So, crafters want to keep their special orders safe and since SOE broke the only way to do that (vendors in private houses) they're having a lot of trouble with it. Is anything in the works to fix this or can crafters set these traps. I think this needs to be made an issue that SOE needs to define the rules on. Just the possibility of this type of trap would keep people from stealing orders that aren't theirs. I also wouldn't want any of my favorite crafters banned for doing this if it isn't ok.

Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country. - Hermann Goering

Fix the insurance terminal.

I want a list of items I can just check of if I want to insurance them or not.

As it stands now. If I want only to insurse my suit of armor, I have to go through the menu for each piece. It's just all teduim.

I still don't understand the insurance system. Armor something that has always decayed with use no decays even more. What, weren't armorcrafters rich enough before this was implimented.

Clothes decay, but who cares, I can wear them forever. The entire system just seems silly.

Soon. They are ready, but the devs are waiting on some info. As soon as that clears, we are good to go.

The insurance choice issue is on the plate, but there are other issues that come first.

The clothing decay is a Tailor bug thats high on their list...
