Thread: Faction Insurance Day Pass: How much?
Regardless of price, it should force Overt status.
Should the player decide to go back covert, the remainding time on the day pass should be recinded.
Since for many of us faction points are harder to get then credits, and it often brings a tef, I'd suggestbetween 10-20 credits per item. If someone wants to insure only theirweapon and armor they'd have to spend 100-200 faction points (9 armor items and 1 gun). Its low enough thatpeople might regularly use faction insurance for essentials but high enough that inssuring your whole inventory would sting. If costs get too high those who are already wary of PvP might avoid PvP all together. Remember that we're already losing faction (about 45 for me I think)when we're killed in PvP. Not all of us that are faction aligned are combat characters and have a much harder time accruing faction points. Also I'm using a range because thats the high and low end of what I think would be a workable charge. (could prolly handle 30, but thats really pushing it and people are already screaming) I think if the rate is reasonable it may be a good idea, and i like the suggestions that the rate scale to rank.If possible, I do think those that get the higher ranks achieved through PvP (i.e. those that play alot of PvP and have paid their dues) should get faction inssurance free.
Anyways those are my thoughts on pricing TH.
How about 50 Fps, or 10k credits? Colonels get it free though.
And you must be overt to buy, and if Day Passed, YOU STAY OVERT UPON CLONING!! No more GTEF,and people will acutally go OVERT (you hear meRebs ofBria).
I really liked the idea about coming out of the cloning center blind/dizzy/stun!!
you got any clue as to how much money would go into 100-200 faction points? i think they are looking for ways to get more casual players involved in the GCW...and this isnt it.
lets see, 80 credits to buy faction from a recruit per faction point...thats 8000 credits if a master smuggler bought them for himself...so 200 faction would be 16000 credits...so lets go pvp for say, 2 weeks...14 nights straight...at 16000 credits a night, thats 224000 credits total...
hmm, i think i like the 1% system better, ill keep my faction, stop doing any PVP at all, and will sell the faction for 125c per point. same 200 points a day for 14 days can make me 350000 credits...go figure. i could run a few faction missions and get 200 points, sell it, and skip the pvp altogether.
woot...problem solved...oh wait, its not solved at all, i still dont pvp...go figure

In the teams effort to resolve the PvP Death and Decay, what we are going to be able to implement (for publish 7), is a Faction Combat Day Pass. This "day pass" is Insurance.
You check in with your faction recruiter, purchase a day pass for faction combat (PvP and PvE), and for 24 hours, you will have no decay on your insured items.
How much do you think this should cost?
I haven't done PvP since the first day that decay was intoruduced and was clone camped as my 1.2m brand new set of armor was destroyed.
IMO make it whatever you want. This is yet another idiotic idea. There is no GCW that I see while playing. Just the few odd people fighting in town, and even that is dying out.
