Let me get this straight on defense stacking...


I havea Master Pikeman and Master Commando - NOT A DABBLER.


I'm now going to lose melee defense from one or both of my fully completed professions??

Where are the camp changes you mentioned for Scouts and Rangers TH, since they are no longer needed for anything.

Hmm, I somehow missed this in your initial post. Why on earth would you institute something so ridiculous as a delay calling a vehicle, pet or droid for a full minute after combat? It's already torture to have to sit there and wait before I can put a pet away after combat. Why do you continue to add such absurd time sinks?


First, you continue to leave unfixed the problem of vehiclesand pets (including droids) disappearing on us randomly. Second, so what if somebody wants to call a vehicle after the combat? Why shouldn't they be able to? Why should they be forced to wait? What possible reason could there be for it? Further, why shouldn't I be able to put away my severely damaged pet and call a new one immediately after the end of combat? For a CH such as myself, I don't have much in the way of combat abilities. When sampling DNA, I rely pretty heavily upon my pets for defense. Why should I be inflicted with this sort of punishment?

A few things......



1) Why should doctors get the fire-blanket? It seems more like a combat medic type thing eh? Why even split the high-level medic stuff into doctor/cm when they arn't even going to be designed intuitively or purposefully. CM's should get the fire-blanket.


2) The dev's may have chosen to drain the mind pool for balance reasons or not. Why not drain the action pool? There's not much you need to think about in order to through a blanket ontop of someone. Throwing a blanket takes *doing* not *thinking*. It should drain the action pool. The A-cost can be tweaked to a nice balance.


3) The 30-second delay on calling is going to turn into a major pain in the rear. I understand the reasoning behind it but we need to tone that delay down significantly. How about 5 seconds? and make the 5-seconds mean something from an immersion standpoint. "Droid is powering-up". "Creature is awaking from its slumber". "Starting vehicle engine".

I understand the reasoning behind this is to eliminate pokemon style pvp, but this will add another timesink to the majority of players who don't do pokemon. Rather than add a 30 delay before these will be generated, why not add a 30 second delay before they will participate in combat? Please don't add timesinks except absolutely necessary to balance gameplay!


To give players a fair chance against this, Doctor’s can now craft Fire Blankets. Fire Blankets will give Doctors the ability to extinguish flame with a /extinguishflame command that will enable the use of the fire blanket. To balance out the Fire Blanket, using the blanket drains the “mind” of the doctor.


Hmm, granted, I'm a bit biased here... but wouldn't this be a better addition to the Combat Medic profession? We're the ones who are "in the field" where a player avatar is likely to be the target of a flamethrower attack. At minimum, it would be nice if we could buy the blankets from Doctors and use them ourselves.

Very nice! I'm looking forward to this publish (I still wonder what happened with #6; I haven't been scanned so far for contraband).


A few things:


- I'm missing anything related to combat medics. Wouldn't it be appropriate to make their poisons/disease reduced by 75% at least like other PvP damage?


- Fire blanket. It should at least require medic skill to use. Otherwise it just trivializes getting rid of flame DoTs.


- HAR. I hope you review both the broken skill mods AND the weapon itself. As I see it this weapon is totally useless with no armor piercing and poor damage.


- Dizzy state. This state should only last up to 15 seconds or so. Didn't see anything mentioned here either.

After rereading the 13 pages I have to just throw my hat in the ring, as a former wookiee (died about 3 weeks ago from complications related to waiting for armor) i have to say it:

PLEASE GIVE THE WOOKIEES SOME ARMOR IN PUBLISH 7

HOW? Fix PSGs and make them wookiee-only. Add BE panels to ALL wookiee clothing. Add a couple new schematics for wookiee armor, just an armored wrap, tunic, maybe some kind of armored hoodie thing. I'm thinking resists in the 30% range here. If you're really worried make the schematics limited run quest rewards.

Then sit back and see how things balance out - this probably won't be enough to balance wookiees but at least throw them one small little bone to chew on for the next two months won't you?

Is this the list of thins they hope will make it, meaning a third of them will get cut because they couldn't get it working right? Or is this actually the list of things that will 99% likely make it in?

My two biggest pet peeves in this game are being addressed at the same time: calling vehicles and moving furniture up and down.


Between that and the addition of combat droids equal to animal pets this may start to look like a Star Wars RPG.
