Thread: Faction Insurance Day Pass: How much?
i know the belief here is that a 1 day pass for decay on armor will get more people to pvp...that just isnt the case. you guys need to stop wasting so much time looking for a quickie solution to your problems. you tried it with holocrons, and i watched 5 friends quit the game because they got sick of grinding professions. then another 2 quit when the decision was made to "change over to a quest type system". the original plan all along as best i remember was a quest system...
instead of removing decay from armor lost during factional pvp and warring, why not actually make pvp and warring mean something? and i mean more than "ooh, discounted faction items that suck to whoever is losing!"
this wont get me any more into pvp than i was before...if i see an overt rebel in an imperial town by himself, ill go overt and kill him. am i going to go out looking for pvp battle every night like some of these losers? hell no, you dont get a damned thing out of it. in fact, currently all that comes out of pvp are a bunch of whiny pricks and show-offs posting pointless message after pointless message on these forums.
when the game came out, items decayed over time. there were corpse runs. insurance cost an arm and a leg and really didnt help much at all. instead of tweaking that system and fixing bugs, we go into this ridiculous system that doesnt really hurt anyone at all. now we are talking about taking 1% decay away from the very people that have a bajillion credits...its the pvpers that are the diehard powergamers. its the diehard powergamers that have high faction amounts, and hefty wallets. look at bloodfin, the "pvp server"... who does pvp on that server? TR, DREAD, and FIGHT...all of which probably dont have any members without 70% composite (or better), at least 2 million credits in each members bank, multiple jedis working up their skilltrees, and more premium loot items than anyone can shake a stick at...they are powergamers, and they have already seperated themselves from the rest of the crowd. i dont pvp. i dont want to pvp with the types of people that currently pvp, and thats all you can get out of it at the moment. stopping armor decay for 24 hours isnt going to change anyone's mind on that.
want us to pvp? add a reward system to it. say, items you can get and show off in your house for killing certain rank enemy faction members. these could even be traded into a recruiter for cash money. id accept 5000c for killing a rebel captain...and id be more apt to get out there and pvp as well. hell id have even more fun setting up a big assed trophy room of all the people ive killed...beats the absolute crap out of coming on the forums and saying i "owned this guy" and "macked the crap out of" that guy.

Yeah.. the story changes to best suit them. It would be easier to set the 1% to 0% totally... but I guess fixing useless nerfs comes first!
we pay 100 fp for it. For most players that's an hour or so of grinding if
you're not some elite BH or CH.
Cost: 1,000 credits and leave it at that.

Should INSURED items be penalized no matter what? NO!
What is UP with this anyway? There is not one single logical reason for this to occur. There is an outtake no matter what in this way. There is a credit drain if you insure, and decay if you do not insure. But I'm paying 5000 credits to insure all of my necessities each time, and YES, as a doctor, I do need those items with me.

Here's novel idea, throw your lameazz idea away and get rid of it like you stated you were going to. It's becoming more and more obvious that some of you devs worked for AC2/Turbine... You didn't learn anything from that and you still aren't now.
This is a stupid idea and the only one's that want this for the "most part" are DEVS. Hmm let's see... could the easy thing be to just remove the PVP decay, or pizz off our clientel and create a whole problem and make them wait until publish 7, approx 2 months or so... Good solid decision making there fella's...

You previously stated that the system can't tell the difference between PVE vs. PVP deaths. Then how pretel is the "system" going to be able to do this silly idea? Also, so, are you lying now to cover SOE's azz or were you lying then? Either way you LIED or are LYING now. Harsh words? You bet... I'll bet you don't have the gumption to answer this either... If you do I'm sure it was a "misunderstanding" as well.. Either way you should have known what your stating for a "FACT" before making such and important post. IMO you should either quit or be "let go".
If your boss's care so little for you as to throw you to the wolves over this then stop being their patsy and move on. I.E. if you really had no idea about the decaychanges and were just "parroting" what you were told to say. I personally would never allow myself to be treated like this and you shouldn't either IMO. If this is the case you've got a very PO'd community here and they are trying to let you take the fall for it... How the heck could JustG talk to you "every" morning and the two of you never dicussed something as important as this??? Again this flat out smack's as another LIE...
If you care so little for your job as keep making half-azzed post's like your last one on Friday's Feature and your Pikeman's Top Ten then please move on let us get someone who will actually take the time to research things, make competant posts, and actually "know" what they are talking about... Good Lord man you didn't even know that weapons don't decay on death and tried to use that as an excuse for keeping decay... LOL
