Seriously TH you don't actually expect to get any responses of people that think this is a good idea do you?
I suspect TH knows it's ridiculous...
I know Im going to get some crazy answers, but Im straining to hear those that want to weigh in with good information.
you have got to be kidding me? the crazy answers are not crazy, its us being upset at your complete blindness to the issue and complete unwillingness to give up on this idea of decay as you, for whatever 'crazy' reason, think that decay is balancing the game in some odd way. your going to get crazy answers until you stop looking for justification for your pipe dream....
Overt: 250 FP base, minus 50 FP for each rank earned (up until free).

join a faction
I finally found a post more moronic than this idea. It took page 6.

In the teams effort to resolve the PvP Death and Decay, what we are going to be able to implement (for publish 7), is a Faction Combat Day Pass. This "day pass" is Insurance.
You check in with your faction recruiter, purchase a day pass for faction combat (PvP and PvE), and for 24 hours, you will have no decay on your insured items.
How much do you think this should cost?
I wasnt even going to bother posting in this thread since it seems obvious you have chosen a path contrary to what your player base wants but here goes just in case you DO care..
Armor/clothing decay actually ANY decay on death is just plain NOT FUN.
It's tedious and a double penalty to normal use decay. It makes the armor useless for PvP thus stopping all but the filthy rich from even considering getting a set and experimenting with PvP. What would you rather do? Stop armor decay on death now...
Sorta off topic but along th same lines is armor encumberance is rediculous for both a usabilityand a game mechanics standpoint.. I mean come on, I can carry a dozen pets, 3 vehicles and backpacks of crap but I cant wear a Composite helmet with a composite chest without buffs let alone a complete set???
Can you say stupid? I can and I just did... The entire decay on death and encumberance system should be looked at and revamped. Those two things alone will make the game 10 times more enjoyable to everyone whether they are roleplaying, PvP'ing or PvE.
I am new to the game having been here just over a month and only mastered 3 professions but in that short time the glaring problem with this game from a mechanics standpoint is item decay on death, armor encumberance and balance for armor ratings across the different species (dont even get me started on this one)...

100 - 200 Faction points I think would be fair.
But would there still be the non-human penalty for Imperials?
100 FP

easy to get - like you get 60 fp from each level 10 mission you run on Naboo....
