Nope if you read the statement Jedi still wont be able to choose faction until the Knight tree. Therefore the point is still valid.

No, you missed my point. I meant that since it's the slot doing the quests that becomes Force Sensitive, their prior faction will be preserved. Faction is no longer enforced until you decide on light Jedi/Dark Jedi.

Ergo if I'm an Imperial and I become Force Sensitive, I'm a Force Sensitive Imperial.

I think the battle between evil jedis and the dark jedis is a good idea. It is part of the movie and if we read the story before the movie, we will find out the sith and the jedi knights were in constant battle. Jedis want peace but the dark side wants power and control. i like the idea. I'm in the game.

I'm glad we are allow a force sensitive character. I think this will motivate more people to get in the game. I used to know a lot of people at the beginning;are gone because got tire of the holo stuff. I've been playing since the beginning and I guess SONY figure out they are having some problems with people leaving or just don't bother with holocrons no more. I think is annoying mastering a job you don't like;plus I remember reading something about the DEVS making the jedi slot available even to the non-combat classes. You have to be combat to get a holocron or have a lot of money to buy one from the combat classes for a ridiculous amount. Sorry holo sellers, you are out of business.

If English is not your native language, I understand. I assume that you're assisting SOE with a language conversion project. If that is NOT the case, and you ARE a native English speaker....

Then, I am amused.

So what if someone wanted to start working toward jedi NOW? Would it make sense to wait for the revamp, or would it be ok to start now?

It seems the same three things are being said over and over.

===========================================================================================

TH Says:Successful Jedi Knights will have the opportunity for two slots (in the current design), but it will be difficult to attain

Everyone Else Says: So you are saying that everyone is getting two character slots as soon as Publish 10 goes live?

Seems to me that it is pretty clear. 1) You need to be Force Sensitive 2) You need to find someone who will train you in the Jedi arts 3) You must become a Padawan 4) You must advance as a Padawan until you become a Jedi Knight. 5) Then and only then will you get a second slot.

============================================================================================

I log on every moring, start my AFK Grinding Macro, go to work, come home, verfiy my macro is still working, go to bed. Repeat

After all this work I might have to start over under the new system. I grind day after day running my AFK macros until I am sick of this game and I am not going to be compensated.

Next thing you will tell me I will have to play the game under the new system to unlock a Jedi, what a rip-off

============================================================================================

WHAT, JEDI KNIGHTS MUST PARTICIPATE IN FORCED PVP? What Madness Is This?

Well lets see. All Jedi even Padawan must participate in PvP right now. If anything they are relaxing the PvP requirments, from Constant PvP as soon as you are Force Sensitive to allowing non-PvP when Force Sensitive and Jedi Padawan and only having PvP once you make Jedi Knight.

=============================================================================================

My Comment

The system has always been organic. It has been stated time and time again that the system would not place a hard cap on the number of Jedi, if there are too few Jedi then the system would be made easeir (Holocrons) and if there were too many Jedi the system would be made harder (4+1 may now be 4+X and soon to be an entirely different system). No one lied, the ORGANIC system is changing based on requirements.

The only issue I would like to have more light shed upon is the following: I have a specific species and name combination I would like for my Jedi to be. This is based on the Jedi Guardian I play in our Star Wars RPG. For this reason, I have not used this name yet since the idea was to open a secondry slot and that would be your Jedi. With the new system, it seems your primary unlocks the skills and become Jedi. If this is true, then I would probably be interested in deleting my current character and creatinga new one with the species and name I have in mind. Then again I dont want to do this if the primary character does not gain Jedihood

What happens to the holo grinders that haven't unlocked?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

They get to play through the new quest system in Publish 10.

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?

Come on thunderheart, you can do better as an answer. It was said earlier when this conversation first started, that hologrinders would be somehow compenaced in the new quest system. If Hologrinding is now pointless, please let us know.

yea i get your point but look at it like this the jedi system has been around a long time now and its old n boring and far from the real system to be jedi is a matter of choice no one told you to grind holo's you made the choice of doing it your self. ther making it so holo's are no longer needed but you still have till patch 10 to finish griding to get jedi so a few months thats not long if your 3/4 the way into it enjoy dudes

QUOTE on the official site : Once players have become a Jedi Knight and still hear the call, they can enter a whole new level that splits off to light and dark Jedi paths where forced Jedi PvP will gain you force ranking and possibly a seat on underground Light and Dark Jedi Councils.

Welcome in Daoc !!! Ranking ...Oh My God !!! they did it !!!

...and...and... What !!?? A Jedi COncil !!! BURN THEM !!!

Impossible to have a jedi council at this moment... (and in the books... the new jedi council is created 25 years after RotJ during the war against the Yuuzhan Vong !!! )

That's Suck !!!

I am sad to see such thing !!!

May be WoW would be made in a better way !!!
