Very very good ideas, both of them, i say

I agree with the instanced idea, and the quest log is something that will be very helpful with not only jedi but everyone else as well. While I realize that this is still in development and prone to change, I am so very happy to see that you guys are taking the player base's request for more story driven and "star warsy" content seriously... wtg guys! I'll take off my bio line slamming you about your ID changes now, although in the understanding that such positive steps and ideas will mean that travesty won't happen again

The story line and journal sound great. I do have one comment...I was one who wanted the number of Jedi to be limited. Well, too late. I see Jedi whereever I go. But I see no reason to keep the number of FS limited. I realize the jump from FS to Jedi initiate is asmall one, alas. Wish that was the biggest, most difficult andmysterious step, not the start of being FS. Well, after a year of playing and refusing to ruin my character by grinding my way to Jedi, I'm pretty much looking forward to some sort of FS. If I have to wait another year to figure out how it's done...well, lets just say not even I am that patient and there are a couple other games coming out soon that sound fun.

This, 'just play the game' - according to who's standards? Does a craftsman just craft and run his shop, talk to folks, etc. Well, we've been doing that for a year. Do you mean, play according so some criteria set down my someone else ruling how they think we should run our characters? piffle.

I doesn't throw the story off track and it's adjustable toboth dev and players. The story was great alsoand should be used to present the patch or a story just like it. Keep the ideas like this flowin'.

My biggest fear is that this village will be the #1 center of attention for ALL players. Everyone will be asking everyone else, "Where's the village??! What's the waypoint?!".. And once it's "found" or people figure out how to be "invited" to the village, where will EVERYONE be? Yup, the village, or doing the village quests. I admit it, I'm someone that would be trying to become FS right as soon as possible. Honestly I doubt there are many people that don't have a jedi right now, that WON'T be working on Force Sensitivity. Looking into my crystal ball into the future, I see more jedi roaming the galaxy than "normal" players. Maybe it won't be in just a few weeks or months, but think about a year from now... ... Kinda goofs with the timeline element for the hard-core Star Wars fans, but makes the game more fun for everyone that wants to be a jedi...

Rambling aside, as long as this village CAN NOT become some overpopulated place where players are falling over eachother trying to get to the next phase of their quest, I'd be great. I think it'd stink going to this village and having 30 people all crowding and clicking on 1 npc.

I'd hate to be on the decision-making end of this problem that's for sure!

I love the idea of the village, however, I feel it's important to ensure you do not need to hang around or camp in the area, simply to reduce the population at any given time.

TheQuest Journalis also exciting. I've wanted a journal to keep a record of all the missions currently active, and their related conversations aswell as all completed quests.

I also must point out that I'm looking forward to the mission based structure of the path. Saying that though, I feel I have to ask the Devs not to make the same mistake of the early Themepark mission structure. The attempt to incorporate a mission based progression to help us feel we belong to something was a brave one, but the time developing those missions was all to obviously too short. The fail/return/repeat mechanic is flawed I'm sure you'd agree, so please - I implore you - push the Devs to allocate adequate time to mission development. Having a tree where failure is part of the progression is far more rewarding and challenging.

Following that, I would love the FS path mission tree to take into account the skills you currently have and blend their abilities to craft unique missions. This of course is a REAL challenge, but the long term effect will be a very excited and silent player base (silent due to wanting to play rather than posting 'Excellent Job')

Greetings,

I have read the post several times now, and I find some of it extremely interesting. However, there are also some major concerns that I have as well, and will do my best to make them clear so they could be answered (If possible). My praise first is this sounds like a very good choice to replace the current Hologrinder system. I have been grinding since the holocrons have been unleashed, and unfortunately still have not unlocked. I mention this so you have a clear, decisive understanding of my position.

Concern #1 - What benefit and/or credit would be offered for those who have ground out holocron professions. Personally I am concerned that they will only be credited for one quest, but yet many quests are much easier then grinding professions. Also, do these people or all people get credit for professions they've mastered outside of their holocron professions?

Concern #2 - I am very, very troubled to learn that a NPC or message will tell me of this place. I am troubled in that I would hate to be where I am now, and have to literally wait for a message while a complete new player gets an invite. I would like to know a little more on how the invite portion of this would go, or how players are chosen.

Concern #3 - How long do each of these quests take or could possibly take. It would be very hard to justify to those who have NOT unlocked that they must spend even more time trying to grind. I'm fully aware my fellow players whom have had the personal time and/or the luck to unlock that believe it should be tougher, but then again they won't have to suffer with it.

Concern #4 - I find it interesting you will give players Force sensitive "Abilities", but my opinion would be that if one wants to be a Jedi they should have to sacrifice these. This would give players a hard decision if they'd rather be a Jedi or a FS. With reasonable abilities Jedi themselves could be merely controlled through this.

Thank you,

Oh great idea, why dont you just forget the gcw and combat revamp and add more jedi content to the game ?

I wonder what priotities the devs have ? Ever thought about there are really people out there who wait since July last year that the gcwstarts ? Ever wondered there are people who give a **** about jedi ? oh i remember, those are second-class players.

Well im outta this crap. 2 less accounts. bye
