i agree... lamps and moveable furniture... player garages.. over species fixes.. I dunno


anyway.. melee once again gets screwed over.. I mean the only thing that keeps us from being kited to hell and back is getting nerfed.. meanwhile gunners run half twisted thru the streets firing at us with no slow down no real negatives.. and we cant even hit in transit.. thanks devs.. hey btw why dont you just take our professions out of the game since you cant seem to do one thing right by them

Could you give some examples of the crafting system changing for experimentation. The first few sentences to me state exactly what is happening now. I just don't see how it is changing.


"This will noticeably reduce the effectiveness of experimenting with low quality resources by all players"


Before this you say "Therefore, regardless of the quality of resources used, each experimentation point will affect the attribute by the same amount"


Don't those 2 statements contradict each other? One says quality really doesn't matter a whole lot and then there will still be a noticeable difference.


An example of what happens now. Example is something that only has one line to experiment in(powerups for instance).


After the intial combine lets say it comes out at 22%. Every exp point added in and a great success happens is 7% more. So 92% would happen if you used all 10 points and got all great sucesses.


If the intial combine came out to 12% and the same experimentation was done it would come out at 82%.


Are you saying that will not be the case anymore?


I guess I'm just confused because it doesn't look like the system has changed, but since you obviously took the time to make a point that it has, that would mean it has changed.

Tell your girlfreinds in charge of development - thank you for screwing over all the Master Brawlers in the game.


The ONE advantage to picking up that skill is War Cry 2 - Now all we can do is "Crowd Control". What sorta b/s is that. So the Pistoleer can Panic Shot us - We get delayed, then fan shot/last ditch us to death with their 10 second delay.I might as well drop the entire Tag and become an Image Designer. At least then i could "crowd control" with makeup and hairstyles.

Quit NERFING crap and fix some real issues - Like (Wookies, Professions, Quests, Bases, and Game Crashes.)


This game is getting so far out of base it's retarded.


My account is running out of time quickly, as many others.....

thunder i have 2 questions. u said you would be improving dizzy shot for carbineers. What do u mean by "improve"? in a previous post you had said kd/dizzy was causing a problem in pvp so i would just like some clarification on this. and my second question is will we have to wait 30 seconds if we call our pet in a camp or is the 30 sec delay just for non camp calling?

So in summary:


Crafting Nerf from 3-4 months ago reintroduced and phrased as an 'improvement', though it's the .exact. same change as they tried to push through last time that failed because all of the resulting crafted objects took a marked turn-down in quality.


Commandoes got another poke of doom.


Melee fighters got their main anti-kite defense nerfed.


But we'll get new pets and a new dungeon.


Every singlecombat change will make sense when the final 'combat balance' goes in.


I said it when you introduced the combat balance, and I'll say it now. Doing a major change to a critical system in a piecemeal manner has to be the most ridiculous concept ever put forth by a testing team. The combat system involves what 45% of the game, maybe40%? Yet you're introducing changes now that are supposed to work well with code that's still in conception/development and isn't even ready to test yet?


I'd love to be able to do this at my job. Load random code changes that will work at some point in future when the full revamp goes in, but in the meantime some customers won't be able to get to their information.


This 'combat revamp' and the space expansion keep getting farther and farther off and more and more of the changes you introduce seem designed to disable indiviual players and force them to group.


You sold me this game based on the fact that I didn't need to group to advance... i'd suggest changing the advertising materials while some aspect of that statement is even vaguely true. We'll let you leave the 'fun' & 'exciting' bts in for a little while longer I guess, but those are starting to get fictional too.

This looks like the best publish since mounts and player cities!


Many great changes!


I love the no camp requirement change.
I love the BANTHA AND CU PAas mounts! Hopefully I'll get a CL10 Bantha now. Mine got turned into a Bol in the trade in
I love the moving objects up and down in houses.
I love the lamps that actually give off light.
I love the ability to see if a weapon or armor is sliced or not.


The rest of it sounds interesting too.


Give the Dev team my thanks and good luck with everything! Thanks for such a great game.


(and if anyone can look at saving the sort order of backpacks it would be much appreciated)





Some of my pet peeve bugs:
•Armorsmith protection layers were not converted with the CU.
•Ship Details window does not close when you click "Travel" resulting in the message "You have lost the target. Closing interface."

I really dont understand you people....The makes of the game are singlehandedly ruinind a game that everyone is enjoying... do you realize each time you try to fix somthing people dont like it and want the old ways back? Just leave the gameplay alone and stick with makeing new quests and material. NO defense stacking? wut the heck? wuts the point of that? just because some people dont feel like putting hard work and smarts into combining profession, they complain so you listen to them and now fights will be twice as fast rendering them no fun...i think you guys dont play the game enoughto ACTUALLY see what people like and dislike about the game... you are changing things that only a few people complain about and that ALOT enjoy. i dont find it fair that i work hard to get my character to where i like him just to have him nerfed... PEOPLE LIKE LONG HARD FIGHTS.. it shows their true skill and by nerfing everything that makes a long hard fight you are lowering the fun levelof the game...GET IN THE GAME AND INTERACT WITH THE PEOPLE in various aspecsts of the game... maybe even contact people well known to their professions to find out some information instead of breaking out your calculator to calculate everything...On my part as being a defense stacker i love a long well earned battle and for all the work and XP gridning i took to get my player where hes at, i deserve a good fight. I think your whole team really needs to rethink this publish because you will see a big drop in PvP and pobably even subscriptions... THINK BEFORE YOU CHANGE... alot of people do not like change... You seem to be trying to change things for the better but you only make them worse... STOP THIS PLEASE... each time i get happy with the way the game is going i get another publish that switches the game around backwards... I am getting tired of this and i know a whole lot of people who are too.... PLEASE PLEASE rethink the defense stacking in this publish... you will be making more people happy then sad!

Concerning the crafting system:


My biggest concern is how you all are catering to the jedi and giving every other crafter (particularly weaponsmiths and armoursmiths) the shaft. If jedi are allwoed to keep their uber loot then so should ALL other characters. You keep talking about balance yet you have failed in a large way in this regard.

This is an absolutely incredible point. By trying to eliminate grief and exploits with these ridiculous timer restraints, the devs may have in fact created bigger griefs/exploits. The 30 sec/60 sec timer rules are nothing more than grief to 100% of the community. I'll take my chances on getting griefed in other ways (that I don't see or understand) instead of having to wait these absurd time-sinks out.

DEVS: Hey, I got an idea... how about instead of ticking off different professions... we annoy EVERYBODY at the same time... LMAO... yeah that's a great idea! woohoo!

P.S. - The rest is absolutely fabulous... lol... gj... I just can't understand the pet/droid/vehicle thing... if ya got any of that crack you were smoking when you thought that one up... please pass it out to the rest of us... lol... 99% GREAT - 1% HUH? lol

Unconsented PVP? Thats just wrong. Another poster already said it, other MMORPG's have tried this and lost!


I am currently a Bounty Hunter, have not unlocked FSS so as such it would seem I would be happy to go hunting Jedi on missions I get from a terminal. On the other hand most of the people I know don't PVP because of the bugs in this game.


Have you ever gone on the attack and had your pets/droids dissapear? Has been happening since the game came out and continues as of this morning. Have you everincapped someone in PVP, had their body slide 25mtrs away from you and someone else DB's them and takes your faction?


So to this point we had an option not to PVP, but now those (and I am not referring to myself here because I have not unlocked FSS) who have spent countless hours and days unlocking their FSS's are going to have that choice removed, even if they are a Jedi in training? Before publish 7 is released we have the choice to join PVP combat or not as it should be, but after this publish those who are Jedi will be launched into PVP whether they like it or not? That's not right and there has to be a delineating factor maybe missing. Perhaps those who have drawn a TEF in a city (or are known by the Empire) by drawing their lightsaber could be targetted by PC BH's off a mission terminal? But PLEASE make it their choice to draw that type of attention.


Will there be a Jedi level set where they can be targetted or will a player who has 120 xps in their Jedi skillset be targetted by PC's the same as a Master Jedi player who has challenged every IMP on the server and drawn their lightsaber at the Emperor's retreat ?


Even though I am a BH, one has to put themselves in the other player's shoes for a moment and think of fairplay, and how we are always told thru posts and ingame that SWG promotes a game with fair play. Having a Master BH come after a padawan apprentice is not fair play.


I hope when this goes live fairplay will enter the picture, and those who have earned their FSS don't have to resort to playing their other character as another poster put it.

Poisons and bleeds... gotcha. Warcry and intimidate... sure, may not be able to intimidate HK-47 very easily, but even the cuddly little Ewoks intimidated C-3PO. hehe

"There is a 30 second delay after you call for a vehicle/mount/pet/droid before it will generate."

Will this delay apply to all situations, even under old rules, or a subset of them (for instance if you wanted to cycle through your pets, changing commands or names, etc. while near your residence, or in a camp)?

Do you guys hate wookiees? Do you guys ever play wookiees? Ever? On a live server with a mature economy that produces high quality weapons and armor? The situation is ridiculous. I can't PVP at all. And in PVE I'm always the first to die, even if I'm buffed. We NEED armor.

If you read either of the wookiee threads in core systems forum you'll see a number of solutions for this problem have been presented with well thought out critiques of each solution. You'll see that the idea of giving us AR1 was already raised and discounted as a very poor solution. AR1 won't give us encumberance wich isn't fair to other players. AR1 is pretty useless in most situations though since most people use armor piercing weaponry. Your "fix" will actually cause us to take more damage, rather than less, in most situations.

Why do we need some special solution anyway? Why can't we have the same solution every other race gets, LET US WEAR ARMOR! Is it budget constraints? Is it time constraints? Would you have to create a ton of new art just to let us wear the armor that is in game? Is there some goofiness in the code that is preventing you from doing this? WHAT IS THE PROBLEM? An entire player race is essentially broken and you don't seem to care. If there is a logical reason for all of this nonsense please tell us!





I had a Force sensitive character, with 23 and a half boxes ground out.
I had a master creature handler.
I had a high lvl crafter character.
I had a Bounty Hunter that I hunted PC Jedi with.

My game is dead.

Here's my suggestion... Let's fix the past publishes/professions before we move on. I mean how silly is this:



  • Chef revamp just came out and yet Publish 7 will fix:
    Dodge enhancing Food now decreases your chance of being hit.
    Accuracy increasing food now increases your chance to hit your target.

CoA has been out for at least a month but only now will:


  • Dead Eye buff now increases your chance to hit your target.

And that's not to mention that DE and Carb's have been waiting forever to be fixed. While we are at it, when will you fix the broken Pistoleer specials?



If not, please justify how Bantha's are more important than broken profession fixes. You know, it has been 9 months since launch...
