Thread: Thoughts on the Warren?
We couldn't camp the final letter for the group as we were punted out of the cell when it respawned, and all of us having done the compassion badge at that point were unable to get another password off the Imperial widow (mira?).
Does everyone in the group need the letter to hand to Captain Heff to get the reward, or will one letter work for the group assuming they've all the correct evidence?
Rather hoping for the latter.....
yeah i was just in the forum tonight, its 5:20 AM on nov 7th. mirla that stupid beyotch is not in her cell. she wasn't there once, then i said to hell with it and did the rest of the dungeon and came back. the debris was there again so i blasted it again, no mirla.
what gives? where is she!?!!!??
**edit** it

Hmmm, spent most of the day in here with the same group, we've all got 4 pieces of evidence and 1 encryption disk, *however* only one of us has the final letter (the one off the inquisitors corpse).
We couldn't camp the final letter for the group as we were punted out of the cell when it respawned, and all of us having done the compassion badge at that point were unable to get another password off the Imperial widow (mira?).
I just did the warrens and I did really really really like it. One of the reasons I went now is I figured most people were holo hunting (and I was right) so I was able to do it they way it should be done - with full pops etc.
The issue mentioned above about the corpse letter and Miranda does need to be fixed. I had the same problem was waiting in the cell for the respawn of ht letter and boom we were punted out and our password no longer worked....No problem get new letter for Miranda and get new password....Doh she won't tell you.
It seems to me to be a pretty easy fix ... just make Miranda give up her password "again" if you have a letter for her. Other than that it was great and I hope more dungeons like this come in the future.
My friends and I just completed the warren quests and our reaction was universal: "Thank GOD we never have to do that again."
Five hours. 5+k credits of travel costs eachto get there and back (plus a side-trip to naboo to deliver the final evidence). 10+k credits of stim packs and res packs spent keeping everyone alive as we got lost, separated, jumped by teleporting spawns of deathblowing stormtroopers and hurons, or just plain swarmed by . Waiting, waiting, and more waiting... hoping that next time you check the corpse/locker/container it'll have what you need in it. And of course there's nothingto give you a headache quicker thanspinning your mouse back and forth scanning the walls for "active" data terms amidst the ten thousand "inactive" data terms there for scenery.
And what do we get out of all of this? Some funky Gungan music and 500 faction points.A brokendecryptor, three belts that do not fit anyone, and less than 1k credits each. Oh, and last but not least - two text badges that set us apart from... well, from hardly anyone given the jedi-obsessed badge craze.
One of our players summed it up rather nicely: "I think I've had enough 'content' for a few months. Next week let's do something fun."
My 2 friends and I (2 Pistoleers and a CH/MDoc) went through it successfully over 2 days (3 hours each day).
Keys: The keys problem was fixed before we visited and worked, but had odd results.
Long story: We found the escapee by accident 1st day. All 3 got 1 key. Went in.
Stayed 3 hours, left, came back24 hours later. Keys for 2 people were still
in inventory. 3rd person had no key. I went in with a key first, person
with no key in inventory was successfully able to follow me in.
Access Cards: The problem with getting the access cards toaccess the first elevator has been somewhat fixed by allowing the elevator to be unlocked, then it stays unlocked for 2 hours for anyone.
The Problem: If someone doesn't know where all 4 keys are, they could take 3
then run off. Now no one can get in the elevator until the 2 hour
reset time goes by and the keys re-spawn in their lockers.
TheWidow's Letter: This worked successfully. All 3 people were able to loot / examine the corpse, all 3 people got a copy of the letter for the widow. This part seems to be working.
The Widow: This we did not have as much success with. The first time we came through the warren, the widow was not there. The next time we came through, she was. Very odd. We used our letters from the first day, and got our badge. somewhat working
The Inquisitor's Letter: This is not working. Only 1 person in our group was able to loot the letter on both occasions we went through. The letter did not respawn after 20 minutes.
The Problem: The letter states "Bring this letter and the evidence to..." which
would lead you to believe you *had* to have the letter to finish the
quest. That is wrong. We were able to finish and get our badge
by simply bringing the 4 pieces of evidence. Please change the
wording on the letter to reflect this.
Also, if this could be made to spawn as the Widow's Letter does,
1 per person that loots / examines the corpse, it would do a lot
to alleviate frustration and panic on the part of groups that go in
expecting they need 1 of everything for each member of the group
in order to successfully complete the quests, and then they can
only get *1* copy of the Inquisitor's Letter.
Final Thoughts:
Overall, it was fun time going through the warren. The monsters were a good mix and fought well. It was fun seeing things fight each other inside (scientists / rogue droids, cyborgs / imperial officers). I got a ton of XP over the two days we were down there. We got lost a few times, but eventually we figured our way out. The story was pretty good. It was difficult to flesh out but was much better than any other quest I've seen in the game to date (including theme parks)
I would like to see more of these types of static dungeons. However, it should noted in development that unless the dungeon has some sort of 'dynamic' to it (changing quests, different people, etc.) these dungeons will remain "1 Time Only" quests. My group has stated we will not be re-visiting The Warren ever, unless a new element is added.
Good job devs.
Anyway Holo, this is EXACTLY what content we're looking for. An awesome dungeon with cool sites, a great story, and even better: badges! I was very very impressed by the Warren. If we could get more things like this, it would seriously increase the cool content factor for SWG.
Well how does tottaly borked sound
This is the added content you promised us in BETA 3? All this time and you still cannot program a simply Dungeon? Let me guess same excuse you used in BETA about the interal Testers not enough right? well here is a clue GET MORE TESTING . its really quite simply if not enough to find simply bugs that were found in the first 10 minutes your testers are NOT DOING THERE job or someone is not telling them what there job is .
6 months after release and content is still so limited in this game . bugs that were in beta still around ,same excuses still being uses
and for the log of GOD why are you still having daily re-starts of the server ? Please dont ask for patience any more for the same problems that this game had in MAY they ran out!
Nice dungeon, and the imp theme perk was nice too.
Spent too much time being lost, not enough time shooting bad guys.
