I don't know everything about Jedi, but from what I've heard they are pretty unimpressive and I have a few ideas that could make them a little better.I think you should give them "Inner Armor", and give them something like "Force Forage". The "Inner Armor" would work when Jedi get higher and higher in level they will get higher and higher resistances to things, without having to wear armor (This way we can see more and more Wookie Jedi), so eventually wearing armor could either give no or little advantage to wearing it. And "Force Forage" would be like normal forage but instead of bugs and wheat, if you search an area that is strong in the force you could find force crystals instead of fighting the same NPC's, as well as ten other people, for five hours just to get a crystal. Just a few things I thought of. And I'msorry if I'm repeating things that have already been said.

can something be done about krayt pearls and crystal loot drops for jedi's? having a jedi character, it is incredibly hard looting these very necessary items. what makes it worse is that other players can get them and sells them for a ridiculous amounts of credits. i've seen pearls cost as high as 15 mill. these should be loot drops only for jedi's. givejedi's special missions at the mission terminal that will only appear for them, and only the mobs for these missionswill drop the crystals or pearls. make them not tradable so jedi's can't make profits out ofthem. krayt pearls r currently dropped only from the dragons that incredibly hard to kill with a group. what makes it worse is they drop with other good krayt tissues or segments that other professions needs, so everyone is fighting over the loot. to add to this unfairness, larger groups can come and take over the kill doing more damage thus stealing ur loots. this has happened to me so many times it's really fustrating. what all this does is allow ppl to sell them for millions of credits and make money on ebay which the devs r trying so hard to prevent. i really hope this gets addressed soon. thanks for listening!

Krayt Dragon Idea

Recently i have had a large number of players using my citys shuttleport as a means of trapping and exploiting a Krayt Dragon.

My idea revolves around giving the Krayt the ability to drag a player nearer its location and allowing it to then attack the Player.

I beleive they also had this problem in Everquest and used a similar idea to stop the exploiters.

Make this new "Drag" attack look like the krayt is whipping its toungue out of its mouth and then have a random number of the players attacking it dragged to its location unable to escape. That way the krayt cannot be exploited so easily and you are in keeping with both the Game Universe and the Krayts look and feel.

Either that or make it so they cant be stuck.

I think a cool new dungeon to add would be a quarantined section of the deathstar where you get a cutscene of yourself heading to the deathstar. The story could be something like this: a mysterious shuttle arrives at one of the many docking bays in the deathstar moments later the commander of that bay hears screams coming from the comlinks of his stormtroopers and he tries to respond and he doesn't get any responses so he and his higher in command decide to quarantine the whole docking bay but don't want to send more of their own forces in the bay so they decide to use hired hands being you which they are not worried about sacrificing.

Many other people, including myselfparticipated in the droid invasion the other night, it was perhaps one of the funnest things we have experienced in the game since day one.We think more RANDOM stuff like that in the game would be awsome. Diffrent things like that happening around the galaxies would add a sense of realism. The same thing day in and day out has really turned a lot of peoplewe know away from SWG. The only problem with the droid invasion was that in a matter of minutes there was 200 people at the theed palace trying to kill these things, and succeeded. The amount of people that showed up in such a short period of time toldus that there was a large amount of people hungry for something like that to do. Perhaps if thier own city was under attack as well they wouldnt have been hoarding to theed.I could not stop laughing when I saw artisans, entertainers, and whatnot getting shot down by droids. The droideka in the medcenter was cute. After I stopped laughing I decided to help.

Anyhow whatwe are saying is do that stuff more often. Get an occasional angry rancor running through town. Have darth vader make an appearance and choke out a few rebels. I remember reading before the game came out, that if you had a run in with vader, for good or ill, you probrably wouldnt live to tell about it. Well I wont have a run in if he doesnt leave the same room for 6 months. Get some of these main characters on the move. Make an imperial presence in town that no daring group of rebels would dare mess with, and viseversa. Have some rebel npcs invade an imperial city, hit and run, like rebels are known to do.Have another droid invasion, only in more places this time so hundreds of people cant come running cause they are defending thier own cities. Those are things I have discussed with many people who play or have stopped playing the game, and we feal strongly about it all.

As a Ranger the thing I personally would like to see is animal herds.

I thanks you all for your time, and for the good work on a very good game.

My comment here concerns the proposed Wookie armor, and its quaint Wicker King look. It is ugly, and even with the 'Big Walking Carpet' look about wookies I think they have a certain dignity that the proposed artwork does not capture at all. I know that all my wookie buddies are dreading having to have that be their only choice for armor. I know the dev designers can come up with something truely wookie in nature that does not destroy their sense of attractiveness.

Wookies need a secret weapon where armor is concerned. Not something that will only evoke jeers.

I havea fewthoughts on things I would like to see.

There was an earlier post relating to an increase in skill points over time. I too find myself not able to have the character I want, but I would make it a cybernetic implant rather than a granted over time. The implant could be a quest schematic for bio-engineers and then implantable by a doctor. There would be a chance for failure (removal of skill points) and there should still be a maximum. Also, only one implant, but they can be replaced if you want to try for a better one. Limit the number of implantationsa doctor can do (something so the average is maybeone per week of real time, don't know what that would be for the average player in game time) and the "recovery" time of the patient (maybe one per month real time). This could apply to other stats as well with varying apply and recovery times. This should allow growth over time, but a potential penalty as well. Or maybe something of a use it or lose it approach could be added to skills.

I would also like to see apartment/condo complexes. Maybe make the buildings/rooms in the NP cities rentable. Also a set of schematics for Architects to make them for PC cities. Allow the landlord to rent out the various rooms and then he or she pays the maintenance, or the Architect (aka Land Developer) sells the units individually and maintenance is paid by each individual. Maybe allow storefront space as part of the building. This could reduce the sprawl of the cities.

A strength check on locks might also be interesting. Got a locked crate? You're going to need a smuggler... or a wookie.

One last thing, the ability to make individual roomsprivate (or semi private) in some buildings and factional/guildpermissions in addition to individual. For example, a cantina with a factionally limited back room where rebellion plans are hatched or a smugglers den with spices and crafting stations. Maybe have it be a safehouse for TEF players, the radar loses them when they enter. The door could be sliceable which incurs a TEF, or an NPC could declare a "door to door" search.

Thanks.

I think we can all agree that having one UBER armor (i.e. Composite) takes away from the game. Nothing kills emmersion more than cookie cutter Composite players running around. Armor is resistant vs. all damage types and usually to an obnoxiously high degree. This significantly detracts from the difficulty of the game. Both in PVE and PVP.

So, I am thinking this - spread the damage resistances across both Armor and Personal Shield Generators.

Armor should only ever get resistances for Kinetic, Acid, Blast, and Cold type damage.

PSG's should only ever get resistances for Energy, Heat, Stun, and Electric type damage.

"High Level" Armor and PSG's should only ever have up to a base of 50% resistance to a damage type. This can then be modified through Armor Components, but never more than an extra 10% per damage type. Low level armor and PSG's can only reach a max base resist of 25% without the aid of an Armor Component.

Also, anyone should be able to wear low level armor/PSG (Bone, Chitin, PSG Mk.1 and 2, etc.), but High Level Armor should be certified once a player attains Novice in an Elite/Advanced Profession. This certification would come as a general "High Level Armor Certification

High Level Armor would include Composite, Ubese, Stormtrooper, Marine, the upcoming Wookie and Mandalorian Armors, PSG Mk.3 and higher, and any other armors the Dev's add in the future.

All of these armors would be considered equal, though effectiveness would be dependant on the Armor Smith. None could ever exceed the 50% resist mark without the help of Armor Components.

This would help 1) make armor more equal for everyone, and 2) add more visual flavor to SWG, as players would not be forced into playing with the "best" armor.

This line should read as "This certification would come as a general 'High Level Armor Certification' that would cover all Advanced/Elite Combat Professions, i.e. Carbineer, Pistoleer, Rifleman, Commando, BH, TKM, Fencer, Swordsman, and Pikeman"

Hello,

Why they are too many same armors, that is very serge.
It's a lot of fun if there is a specific armor for each specie. Because mon calamari's eyes on each side of his/her head, composition headarmor can not used for this specie (more real) and Twi-Lek has big lekku, no headarmor for this specie or big headarmor

I hope more fun and different armor for each specie character.

I was talking to a guy last night who said his friend knows a CSR who told him that they were probably going togive people an easier way to open up their Jedi slot. He told me thateverybody would be doing quests similar to Theme Parks, then running aroundwith their lightsabers having fun. He said and I quote, ".....which is fine, everybody gets their lightsaber and has their fun whoooosh whooosh whiiirrr whiirrrr. They get to hear the lightsabers whooshing around. Everybody's happy."

Hahahahah everybody's a Jedi now!!! Weeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!

We all get our lightsabers and this game becomes...

The Jedi are supposed to be mostly gone, and each server should only have about 1-2% Jedi to preserve continuity with the Star Wars Saga, but, to placate whiners who say, "Mastering bio engineer has nothing to do with jedi" we decided to give 50% of the players FSCS.

Honestly, Jedi is inherited. You're born with it.You shouldn't be able to quest OR gain professions to learn it. The only reason they did the mastering professions thing was to make people able to get Jedi fairly and randomly, (although powergamers have a better chance than casual gamers and they should still work out something that makes it totally random and NOT based on how much time you play the game)

If they want to make it so that everybody can be Jedi, they should allow all characters to change their names, and make a full revamp of everything, and say it's 200 years later. The Jedi Order is restored because of Luke Skywalker and the other Jedi's hard work. Everybody could have a free name change or something. Better yet, keep the Jedi FSCS opened by HOLOCRONS and come out with a NEW Star Wars Game set in a later time period if you all wanna be Jedi. I'd like that better anyway... everybody is a Jedi and the wierdos that are outcast are the ones that DON'T use the force in their everyday lives. LOL. The ones that get killed and slaughtered by Evil are just normal people...

I take this game a little more seriously than most, and I don't want to see a bunch of little kids disrespecting Jedi by flooding the servers with them. There are already fat wookiees and half-naked humans wearing hot pants all over the place. It's idiotic.

My point: Although holocrons may not be perfect, neither is questing. Both are fine in my honest opinion, but I think there should be a limit on the number of Jedi per server. Not a cap on the maximum number of them, just a limit imposed by the extreme difficulty of acquiring Jedi.

If you rely on PvP and hunting them down being a deterrent from making a Jedi character, you'll probably realize that people will STILL make Jedi characters and they'll STILL flood the server. Even if you have an NPC Jedi Slayer in Every City of the game that actively SCANS for Jedi and DB's them in 1 hit, you're STILL gonna get flooded with Jedi.

I'm finished talking. I'm just not wanting to see Jedi get more than like 1-2% of the server to preserver CONTINUITY. I LIKE STARWARS AND DON'T WANNA SEE THIS GAME TURN INTO JEDI WARS.

Relax will you. Jedi are hard enough to play. I haven't even logged mine in for almost a month now. I don't have the income to by crystals and the places they are dropped are camped half of the time. As for just a random drop.....well I'm still waiting. Not to mention the fix for BH droids (which was a long time coming). And no defensive mods for the jedi. I log in my jedi....get him on the boards....and he would be dead in less than 10 minutes....but hey there is no way for me to level my jedi without having to go out and kill things.
