Just wondering if you would mind if I applied your principles to my account payments?

I would let you know that I intended to pay, then I could promise you and even give you a rough date.

Then I could wait 3 months and send you a few reasons why I did not pay and how my payment is just around the corner.


Then after 6 months I could send you an interview of me saying that I was sorry if you actually had expectations of payment but I had to buy other games to play on-line and pay for them.


Perhaps I could send you a one year anniversary photo of my children as a stop gap, placating type measure?


Please let me know so I can safely stop my payments.

Reading the opening statement although apologised for confirms the problem with this sort of feedback system, If people at the top wonder why there is so much negativity and explain it as - only a minority complain - the rest are happy - are obviously in line with people who ran empires that collapsed much to the suprise of its rulers - totally delusional and explains why it seems the whole forum scene is pointless.


They will not listen to criticism under anycircumstances, this creates an almost impossible task of figuring out how to appease their vanity by criticising in a manner that seems gratifying to them, and in a manner that they might seem reasonable enough to actully do something about. There are hundreds of thousands of posts - yet they wish to believe these are voice of an annoying minority.


The game reminds me of Ultima Online similar style, It had a great community spirit, the devs like to take a lot credit for stuff like that as though it is something they put in the game, erm sorry WE put that into the game not you - not your credit - no way - you put little biddy sprites in the game and crappy AI routines - we are the spirit of the community of the game not you - im sorry that had to be said some time - you seem to ride on the back of that ticket like the great thing to be really proud of, but what do you guys do to contribute to it - nothing.

I mean why do we put up with all the empty promises - next week next month next year, it will be great honest - maybe - but will it be, maybe we dont know, we seem to muddle through its faults and flaws - because we get on with each other and it keeps us interested- the players make it worth while - just what about the game is really that good apart the people in it. We kill a few things make a few creds grind out a prof - go to a couple of dungeons looking for a few rare schematics its not really that good - not as good as any of the solo play lucas arts games - but we woundnt play those for 6 months to a year - maybe we are all odd. the solo games are just that solo, so we meet people online and play a pretty poor game when all said and done - just to knock around with other people. Its the people who come back for more who make it interesting, the strange nutty people who spend hours and hours doing combat tests to come up with ham stats and weapon comparisons and spend hours looking for resources and get played dirty tricks on them like important resources going missing for a month at a time. whatever - as long as we keep coming back for more - you had better keep coming up with something to keep us amused, if you dont mind that is.

heh would you respond after 12 pages of flame but seriously i dont even want JTL just gonna be pvp and joyrides okay..its fun..for a while.

I really think they should fix the base combat/game before launching JTL but he probally already read that a few times if he actually kept track of this thread.

O yeah now i remember, smuggler isn't really that broken.. its just...barely existant thats all..

Oooooh, very good point. Here's a couple of the more common and infuriating bugs that have been around for a while now:


1- sliding about 20m when sitting.

2- pick up an object from your house, leave your house, go um, anywhere. Object no longer in your house or in your your inventory until NEXT RESET!!!!!!! Real fun to go looking for a decent resource spawn only to find out all your harvesters are in never never land or find out your armor is in never never land after you get to Dathomir and it's gone for at least one or more server resets.

3- harvesting from a creature is still bugged. If you d-click a dead creature, you can't harvest anything after that.

4- why am I told I have to destroy all the faction turrets before I can enter this headquarters every time I log in when in my house? It's not a faction house since and there's no headquarters or turrets for about 3000m in the closest direction

5-vehicles. How come about half the time I dismount from my speederbike I'm suddenly about 100m away from the bike? Behind it

6-while I admit I do prefer the title Battlemaster to any other one I've had, I dropped swordsman and changed my title to none about a month ago yet it still shows me as a Battlemaster....ok, you don't need to fix this one

7-Sean trenwell won the election in bestine on tarquinas, but if you ask for your reward he says you already got one, even if you never voted or received a reward previously...betcha he loses next election

8- creature teleportation. If I am one hit away from killing an arachne queen or widow and it runs away, how come it gets a 100m head start? If this is supposed to be how it works, how about you give me a 100m head start command when I need to run so I can get away too?

9- Oh, vehicles again! If I dismount from my bike, it means I wanted to get back on it fairly soon so how come about 40% of the time it poofs right away? And why does it sometimes poof if I don't get back on within 2 minutes but other times I can go to another planet, be there for an hour, try to get my bike only to find it is still generated on the first planet?

10- I can keep going on with more, but how about you show us that you actually do try to correct all these bugs and fix some of the more obviously irritating ones that've been around for about 4 publishes before you go sending programmers off to work on new things that are gonna add whole new bugs?

Dont forget the rollbacks they are more common than people realise, thing is u have to be online and then realiselater somethings missing, inv, credits or yes even skills


It is like a huge shhh dont admit thing with soe, tried to get a csr to admit we had one in tempest august 1st

but they basically shut down my CS ticket, I wonder how many people who tried to grind jedi cant and woulnt open before pub 10 because a rollback happenned just after they mastered something then dropped it.


Yes it has happenned to myself and many others mastered something got hit with a rollback torealise i wasnt master anymore an had to finish grinding last box again. imagine if i dropped it a min after mastering i might not have realised it.


its why they added the badges i believe not for people to have trophies but for them to have a backup system
