ATTENTION:

This is for the DEV's. We know you are all working very hard to make this game and especially the jedi not only work properly but be fun as well. I would like to point out that in many many cases the DEV's have said things like "the community cryed out for a change and we accomidated that change" such as in the case of loot which I think a great job has been done (needs some tweaking, but what doesnt. Overall it was done VERY well)

If you read once again the post by Arjun, our jedi representative, you will see that 95% or more jedi agree on the following main things. (here is a link to review http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=jedi&message.id=270395

1. Sabers require looted items to craft.

2. Jedi Combat. (Jedi forced to use "armor" , Jedi have absolutely 0 defense vs. any state condition.)

3. Saber blocking is way too low and does not block melee attacks.

4. Lightsaber Repairs,Decay. and damage type:

5. Lightside vs. Darkside:

I am sure that all of us Jedi know you cannot possibly fix all these issues in a single Publish, which is why it has been split up into Publish 9 and 10. All we ask as a Jedi community is that you do your best to address at least some of these issues. It would surely be an act of good faith to fix at least one or two of these in publish 9 to say "Hello all Jedi out there, 2/5 of your major issues have been dealt with, we are working on the rest"

Thank you for listening to us and helping to make this more enjoyable. We have faith that you are working hard on the issues at hand to help us more enjoy our part in the legend that is Star Wars.

"P.S. Most of us Jedi would also LOVE to be able to put our hood up or buy a hood up cloak to match our hood down cloak"

The Lightsaber itself

Combine saber types under one skill. Not one-handed accuracy, two-handed accuracy, polearm accuracy (or defense ortoughness), just lightsaber accuracy applied to all three types. +20 for each box in Padawan including Initiate and Padawan (+120 total), +10 for each box in Knight(additional +60, +180 total), and +5 for each box in Master (additional +30, +210 total). Speed and toughness divided in a similar fashion. Under this system, the powerful specials would be gained much later, and weighting the accuracy toward Padawan balances out the profession.

Make the lightsaber into Jedi armor and don't allow Jedi to wear armor. This has been described and requested often. +25% to all damage types for each profession. +75% at Master. Usable only with the lightsaber equipped.

Make the lightsaber type a choice at creation, not level determined. Make the two- handed and polearm saber hilt a selectable option at Apprentice. Give the polearm saber a special melee defense bonusand the single-bladed saber a special ranged defense bonus and speed bonus. Allow every lightsaber type totarget any HAM. A Jedi can alreadytarget all three HAM pools. It requires the Jedi to stick three different lightsabers in the toolbar and cycle through them, but it can be done. The system is cumbersome and unnecessary. Put the Head/Body/Leg hit1 attacks in Padawan and hit2 in Knight.

Lightsaber should be AP3 and Energy damage. Make the Padawan saber AP2 and Knight and Master AP3. Give each higher typebetter bonuses on the first generation saber. Increase the complexity andresource requirements of the higher level sabers to compensate.

This new system totally stinks! I mean what has impoved in the end? Hologrinding stinks because you have to give up professions that you like, and now in order to have a Jedi you have to do that too.

With the forced PvP to level up I will have to delete my character alltogether because as a Mon Calamari the Statcaps are so screwed up that it is vitually impossible to function as a powerful PvP character to begin with if unbuffed.

Then what I would use my second slot for if I ever get one is to remake my old character. - Now call that what you want, but I think it's nothing but stupid.

This post is my death rattle. My last whimper of hope that there is common decency in the devs of this game. I have grinded through many a proffession in the year that I've played. Since the day i first picked up a holocron to this very week. I think I have more than "qualified" to be a jedi by now but because I cannot guess the right randomness. Please, Please , Please for the love of god or whatever it is you believe in devs....do not make unlucky hologrinders go through the whole new quest system. Do something decent and at least tell silent grinders what the last proffession is so that we have a standing chance at unlocking before the next change, I don't think I could continue to play this game if I'm suddenly shot right back to the level as my friends who never touched holocrons. It would be as if the last year of my gaming life was for absolutely nothing, all those days I was "sick" from work, all those times I didn't go out and get drunk but stayed home and ground a crafting proffession. Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, be N-I-C-E to the silent holocron grinders. We have worked harder than most of the people who have jedi already. Those who unlocked less than 10 know nothing of grinding until the numbers hit 25+. Are you going to tell us that every person who is in the 20's or better havent tried hard enough to justify being helped to justify the hard work that was done....This post prolly isn't going to be read by any dev whatsoever so it doesnt really matter. But there is...hope...

Don't you just hate yourself for having grinded holo-professions? I'm gonna
enjoy my broken datapad and stone knife i get as recognition for my efforts,
how about you? 17 down to date.

Attikus,

You may be right about the implemenation, but I'd rather not give up on the feedback process just yet. I haven't been playing SWG for a very long time, but long enough to know that somethings change and others don't.

I hope that jedi are implemented well, but I can't control that. I can control my input to it and if nothing else, I can put in my two cents worth.

NPC bounty hunters chasing jedi across the known universe. Imagine you are in the middle of crafting your next lightsaber and Boba Fett shows up.

I'd kind of like to see that. Or even better, participate in it.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I don't like pointless grinds.
Thank you for reintroducing decay!!!
I like a complex, immersive world simulation, full of possibilities, challenges and roleplay.
I want a player driven, crafting-based economy.

TH,

Since all of this is still at such an early stage, I will refrain from making any concusions but there was one part of your post that really concerned and confused me. The part I am worried about is "forced Jedi PvP". Does this mean Jedi cannot progress up the jedi tree without fighting other jedi players? Or does it simply mean that those whochoose to, can participate in PvP in hopes ofjoining the Jedi Council. I have to say that I will be gravely disappointed if it is the former. If forced jedi PVP is needed to continue up the jedi tree, I think that would cause me to leave the game. I understand that in the movies, jedi had to face the dark side before being promoted to Knight but there were also jedi that walked their own path or interacted with the council peripherally. Also, such interactions with dark jedi could be handled in quest-driven NPC missions. I imagine that the latter was what was intended and I'm getting all excited about nothing but I would appreciate knowing what was intended.

Thank you and good work on everything else (except for Rangers, but that's another topic ),

(oh plz dont bring out the jedi revamp all my 600 hours of 3rd party programing and game exploits are now a waste 'Cry' plz no!)

thank you for your time as you have so much of it lol

I noticed your reg date was the 17th.. which was yesterday. And you seem to think that 600 hours is a long time... well most of the people posting here do not use 3rd party programs and have logged over 2000 hours of gameplay in here and they feel they deserve an answer. If I was only losing 600 hours I wouldnt be that upset... but with over 2000 hours into this game, I would like some answers.

You could only read the forums as a registered customer up until about 1 month ago. But you could have alts or what not.. I dont care what your start date is.. I just know you didnt register until yesterday.

Are you employed by SOE? How can you tell if someone is running 3rd party software? Regardless good luck on your time spent finding these people.. and you will not find my name, which you were referring to me as a cheater in your post. Go troll somewhere else.
