I tried a search and did not find anything relating to this idea. Last night, I was searched by some Imperial Stormtroopers in Kaadara. Well, I get a message that the investigation determined that I was a Rebel and that I would be flagged as Overt until I visited a recruiter and changed my faction. I finally found a recruiter and redeclared. Unfortunately, I must have not stayed on long enough to have it take effect. I logged in this morning and checked my Status in the Character Sheet, and saw that I was Covert.I was running around a Player City for a while, then sat on a river for a couple of hours pulling mollusks and crustaceans. I finally run into a buffhouse to get buffed and it wasnot working. I talk to the guy and he tells me that I'm Overt. I'm all "**edit**? How'd that happen?" Turns out that the sheet was wrong and I was still Overt.

Here's what I propose. How about a Covert Flag in the status bar? Similar to the TEF, but maybe use an icon that relates to the faction symbol. This way, you can visually see when you may have been changed to covert during a search by Imperial Stormtroopers. I don't always see the system message when this happens, and actually trotted into Theedwhile unbuffed and unarmored the first time the Stormtroopers did it to me. Needless to say, I got ganked in about 10 seconds.

I think it would add a lot to the game to have an "everybody overt" planet. Basically, the whole planet would be a battlefield. Anybody would be allowed to visit that planet, but would become overt or attackablejust after getting off the shuttle. Neutrals would be able to attack andbe attackedby imperials as well as rebels (but not by other neutrals). There would be three starports (one for each faction) defended by very strong defenses to prevent camping and griefing.

My first choice for such a planet would be Hoth.

Holding POI's on that planet for a certain amount of time would give faction bonuses, loot, or access to new faction-specific schematics.

Missed the post above mine. Seems that my idea is not completely original. 5 stars to Titan 2000 .

I have a couple things I'd like to see implemented:

1.> Zabrak body tatooing. Before the game went live, and even now still, you can view the Zabrak body in 360 on the SWG site. It clearly shows tatooing on the arms. I would very much like to see this option available at character creation and also for Image Designers.

2.> Guild management. Democratic guilds that change leaders often need to be able to vote in new guild leaders. However the current system works, it must be broken because we've been trying for months to change it to no avail.

3.> Non-combat Jedi content. The only way Jedi can get xp is from combat. They need to be able to settle disputes, be ambassadors, etc. This can come through NPC interaction.

4.> Smugglers. Hopefully this will be adressed in their revamp, but they have no smuggling content. The entire profession should just be renamed. Modifying weapons and armor and making spices is not smuggling.

I have and Idea..

To augment Apprenticeship Points in the mastery of a profession.. in order to obtain a ture master in a particular profession you must complete a quest.. For example:

Jagatai Just obtained master Armor Smith, She has all the AP points needed.. but when she goes to the Trainer, he says a little somethinglike this:

"Ahh, you have done well my apprentice, you are almost ready to become a master, but First you must find the hidden Hermit who will teah you about the Legendary RIS armor.. once you have obtained this knowledge, you will be the true master".

Then Jagatai goes and completes the RIS quest and gets the true title of Master AS.

Or for Master BH

The Same as above.. but "you must bring me the head of a Jedi" (NPC DJM).. or Player Jedi."

The list can go on and on..

As for the GCW.. 200 Imperial / Rebel points is dumb.. you should show your loyalty to the empire by assassinating a Rebel General first.. a spawned mission for you on a random adventure world.. you donthave to be Imperial to attack this Reb NPC (the only acception )... then you bring back the looted head in your inv.. (cant be traded top level inv item) and Voila! your now Imperial)..

Hi,

This is probably only my second or third post so plz go easy on me!

A friend and I were debatting a suggestion for change earlier and came up with the following. I have nor, nor have the time to, search each and every thread so I apologies if this has been suggested elsewhere b4 :-)

The idea is simple really and revolves around a change to the XP/SP system for the good of the player:

1.) Is the keep the SP system the same (or give us some more poitns I won't complain but it's not critical to this concept ;-) and

2.) Reward those who have taken the time to master professions by making it easier to relearn them l8r on. When I master CH, and eventually Doc I shouldn't have to do the whole grind over again to get them back.

I appreciate the restrictions set up by the SP system (se 1 above) and think that it should remain but feel that if you've fully mastered a profession then it should be easier to regain it when u purposefully drop another prof to go back to a previous one. At the very least there should be a reduction in XP needed as in real life u never fully forget how to do something so retraining doesn't take as long as the initial learning did.

Well to me it seems fairer than the current system without making the game too easy either. U still have to master a prof for the privalege. U still get restricted by SP so u can't too many things at one time. And ultimately it would reward those players (of which I'm not one) who have mastered loads of profs and may wish to chop and change them without the ridiculous bind of a long grind again :-(

Well, as I said, it's just a thought. I only hope that there are a few others out there who feel the same. I don't think this would ruin the game at all and...welll thats enough for now.

Regards,

Dai.

I would like to see a housing revamp. I'm tired of seeing the same kinds of houses all the time. there needs to be some variety! Here's what I'm thinking:

Housing customization: This would include house paint, flooring, etc. Architects would go to a customer's house and customize it as they wish, much like how an Image Designer does for a character. However, another one of my ideas is that architects would have to buy specially made supplies from Image Designers to create paints and such. This would involve Image Designers even more in SWG. Another thing, exterior housing paint would fade away after a while (like vehicle customizations) so that architects could still have a steady business going with house painting.

House Add-ons: Players would be able to add attachments to their house. Most attachments would be visible from the outside. Add-ons would include turrets (not the offensive kind), basements, additional floors, and maybe even (in JTL) private ship launching pads. Players could make their houses look like nearly whatever they want. Skyscrapers, bunkers, you name it! Add-ons would also add additional storage space to the house. I know that these add-ons being on the outsides of houses would create alot of lag for some players, especially in cities, so a "Show Player Housing Add-ons" option would have to be added.

Specialized Housing: Simpley, profession-specific housing. You would get certification at a certain level to have a special kind of house. Ex: Architect, WS, AS, and DE would get a "workshop". Chefs would get a "Bakery". Tailors and ID would get a "Showroom". Doctors, CM, and BE would get Laboratories etc. This would create even more diversity in cities. These new houses would also create nice places for crafters to sell their wares. Much like a merchant tent, except for different professions. These houses could also give an assembly or other type of bonus to crafters. The specialized housing schematics would be loot or quest items.

I agree. At the very least, it would be cool to see some more house types or additions. I wonder if there would be a way to have the option to "lock" doors, instead of your whole house. I've seen people put objects in front of doors at their shops, but since you can walk through objects and they appear after you have entered, it only works to make the place look good instead of being functional. Do I make sense? Dang it, I need sleep...

here is a suggestion for those of you who have ever had a group leader go AFK or LD...

/requestgroupleadership

a petition by any member of a group to be made the leader of said group. if not answered within one minute, the person who filed petition becomes leader. only one petition may be made at any time (like "x is already considering an invitation from another group," but here, "x has already petitioned to be made group leader").

why? well, in some cases, group leaders go afk for extended periods of time ("i'm going to grab something out of the fridge" turns into "i'm going to bake a three course meal, and man, i make a wicked souffle) or, worse, go LD. this makes it impossible to invite new members, kick members who have gone LD or AFK and are needlessly taking up spots, and replace the leader with someone capable of performing certain leader-only functions (squad leader commands and bonuses, band leader commands, etc.). right now, the only way to resolve the AFK/LD leader issue is to disband and form a new group. because group members are not always in the same place, disbanding is not always an option.

is this really helpful? yes, i think it would help solo mission groups a great deal, and would also be a boon to entertainer bands in cantinas. (of course, these might be two things the devs want to destroy with the combat balance and the end of hologrinding, respectively.) since i've seen quite a few people go LD during combat recently (though this may be an exploit), i figure it will also help pvpers who suffer the loss of a leader and want to add members to a pick-up battle in theed or wherever.

just a thought, hope someone picks it up and runs with it.

Image Designers should get schematics so they can create make-up kits. These kits could be for each of the different things that have colors (lip, eyeshadow, tattoo, hair, marking and so forth). The amount of colors able to be in a kit, duration for how long they last and how many uses in a kit could all be dependent on the quality of the resources used to make the kit. The ID's could get new schematics for the new colors as they learn the new skills. The ID's could also get xp each time a kit is used. With these ppl could change their look to their new outfit without the need to find an ID. ID's would get some xp without having to find someone to let them practice on. Plus gives ID's something to do that is different from the actual IDing itself, they could now craft.

1) I think that it would be a pretty cool idea to add podracers. The podracers would be fairly large, as the same size in The Phantom Menace. That would be pretty cool because you could get to places even faster and it would be a pretty good ride. However, you could only use podracers on the race track, not outside it because it would be far too risky. Players would not be able to make their own podracers, but they could buy their own podracers or trade the deeds to their podracers. Master Artisans would be able to make certain parts of the podracers such as the cockpit and the engines, attach the parts, name the podracer and even customize the look. Smugglers would be able to make engines and other parts of the podracer stronger so that they would last longer and the podracer would be faster, lighter... etc. Podracers would be very expensive to repair, about 3 times as much to repair as a regular landspeeder. Podracers would go very very fast.

2) Their would be three types of races that would take place: Normal, Time Trial and Hardcore. A Normal race would just be the first one around the racetrack the specified number of laps would be declared the winner. In the Normal race mode, racers would not be able to hurt their podracers by crashing into obstacles, but they would hurt their podracers for driving for a certain amount of time.Players could enter a NormalGrand Prix for free.Time Trial would be different from a Normal race. Players who participate in races will be able to record how long they had completed a certain race. It would cost 10000 credits to enter your specified time in what is called a "Time Trial Terminal", and it would probably be best if you thought it was a good time. Every month or so, that same race track would hold an event for all the racers who had entered their time in the Time Trial Terminal. The Top 15Racers would then be accepted into a Time Trial Grand Prix where they would then be able to race against other qualifyingplayers times. Players would choose if they would like to participate or not. If not, they would be reambursed the 10000 credits. Once players would enter the Grand Prix, they would each take one test drive, and then a "Time Trial". Test runs would just be a test, but the player who has the greatest "Time Trial" record would be declared the champion and would receive that much moremoney that he or she had wagered before the race, (look at #3), (if a player wagered 18.9 % of their money, they would receive 18.9% and so on). Second place would receive 50% moreof what they wagered, and third place would receive 25% more. Hardcore, the final type of race would be an all out Kamakahzi death zone! It would be somewhat like normal, where the main objective is the first player to complete the specified amount of laps wins, but in hardcore, one fatal crash could destroy your podracer, shatter your spirits and even kill you! Hardcore would be much much harder, but the reward would be much much more! Players could enter the tournament for free, but if their podracer is destroyed in the race, the podracer would be destroyed forever! The champion of a race or a Grand Prix would receive 300% of what they had wagered, second place would receive 150%, and third would receibe 75%, but all the racers who survived hardcore would receive a hardcore racing trophy which would be untradeable!

3) Before every race, players could visit "Betting Terminals" and wager their bet before the race. Players could not wager more then 100% of the credits that they have.
