I trust that if u do you compinsate the ppl with them in their datapad i would hate to know my 4 million credit pet it worth 50k tops. I will gamble and see what happpens but i am currently turning down offers for insane amounts of credits. I hope u dont make regret trying to save up money for something that accually is rare in the game .I hope you realize that you determine the retail value of the pets u dont destroy months of credit hunting with out at least offering something for our efforts.
/em shakes head.
You sound like the whiners demanding I refund there money for the maulers i sold them over a month ago.
I don't think so!!
Whats it matter, your gonna do whatever anyways, what do you care. The only real message I can send SOE is canciling my account and even then, you guys would just blow it all off as "normal" growing pains that all games of this type go through...
The added grind you want to add to this profession was not the"additional content" I was looking for in this game, I can't sum up your nerfs any better then that. You want to take the easy way out, you see so many people rushing to the CH profession because its one of the few that isn't broken and you want to use that but your thinly veiled tactics aren't going to work for me because I been there, done that, too many times in the past.
Why aren't the Devs working on real content is my question? Why aren't they fixing the broken professions? How long do you think making a bigger grind for MCH is going to appease the mass of players in this game looking for real content?
It makes no sense at all to me the way you guys go about this new SWG opportunity. This concept of an on-line game is no longer a new thing. Its going to take a bit more imagination on your parts to appease all the people who also have been there, done that, for years with other games like EQ, UO, or whatever. We left those games and came here looking for something different. For the things you promised in your media hype. You just are not delivering and its disappointing to see these tactics you are using now. It really doesn't give me a lot of hope in this game. It's my believe, just from the way I'm beginning to feel, that you have a whole lot of us watching the horizons for another ship to come by so we can jump.
Shuut
ifear even worse
Aswell as bringin webbies and other cool extinct pets back spawning babys.. they'll aswell nerf their stats
so this is goin to be the doom of cool pets...
Non-CHs will be able to have 2 pets total, that must be of Level 10 or below, right? And can only have one out at a time.
I don't have any huge problem with the level change, but to me, it raises the question:
WHY only two?
I don't see how it'd be unbalancing or bad to let us keep more pets around, especially since we can't keep anything even vaguely *powerful*.
And limiting us to two (especially since a mount will fill up one "slot") reduces the amount of "just for fun" pets we can have, where I think that should be something to encourage, not discourage.
With me, for example: I'm not a CH, and have no intention of ever becoming one. I have two pets: One, a Bearded Jax (level 10.) It's cute, and helpful to me in combat, though hardly a creature of great power. My second pet is a Paralope, that I got because I like paralopes so much, especially the way they look when they're tiny little baby paralopes. Not sure what level she is, but she's basically useless against anything bigger than a Minor Gubbur. But she's fun. I like having her around, and telling people how I'll shear her once a year for very high-quality wool.
Thing is, once mounts come in, I'll probably have to let her go, because I can basically have 1 mount, and one "combat" (so to speak) critter, and that's it. No more room for "fun" pets.
If I'm missing some exploitative possibility here, let me know, but I don't see why letting non-CH people keep more low-level pets would be a bad thing, and it'd be good for Creature Handlers, as they'd have more of a market for low-level pets.
Will we finally be able to tame the BE Kimogila in this next revision? Also, will you, or someone, be posting a list of the updates to the BE creatures?
Thank you for your time!

I totally appreciate the changes, my biggest beef was the CL level dropping.
For all the whiners out there, WAH we're non CH and we can't use pets. EXACTLY. NON CREATURE HANDLER! I don't go to the zoo and buy a tiger and expect to tame it without ANY knowledge or experience do I? You can buy a BE pet and have it lowered to an acceptable level and pay a master CH to tame it as a pet and/or mount for you to use. It's very simple. You don't have the experience you don't need a high level pet to walk around and tank for you. I'm not crying on other boards for flamethrowers to be easier to use, no. I'm dropping pistols and planning on Mastering TKA as well. I had planned to master ch since I bought the game and saw people could play with pets. I don't use them just as tanks, I love animals(i have tons of pets at home) and it's an accomplishment that I've ground out god awful amounts of CH experience so I can call a Rancor, what I feel is the uber accomplishment. Granted its not the BEST tank in teh game, thats not the point. I HAVE a rancor, that is going to be a great feeling.
All I can agree with with the naysayers is there needs to be some other changes to "balance" the rest of the classes. I just don't feel we're being overpowered when lightning and flame can damage over 3k a hit EASILY and it takes us 6-8 rounds AT LEAST to do that amount of damage without mastering some other combat profession. I'm choosing a melee profession.
DE is a crafting profession. a DE needs a market not the ability to use his products. This looks like if weaponsmith were automatically granted the certifications of allthe guns theycan craft. This doesnt make sens at all.
DE just need good utility and combat droids with a decent MARKET for them.
KaGe
Sorry, I must disagree. The DE deserves the same benefits that the CH gets: the ability to use the pets he creates/tames. Yes, DE is a /crafting profession/. CH is a /taming and training/ profession. It makes sense that a skilled DE would be able to control multiple droids whereas a less skilled individual can only devote their attention to directing one droid.
GREAT job on increasing the damage/toughness of the probot. By making probots more than mobile shields, you'll increase the desire for players to become a DE or to purchase droids and make DEs more valuable all around.
Considering the exorbitant amount of dedication, crafting, and grinding it takes to become a DE, I think more rewards are in order for this and are long overdue. Even if you aren't a combat-oriented DE, being able to create big nasty droids to protect and attack for you seems more than fair and realistic for any DE.
I vote heavily in favor of this one.
Everything looks good.
I would like to see MCH gain the ability to "see" the details of creatures without Master Scout or Ranger.
Everything looks quite fair from my persepective as someone trying to go up the CH ladder to MCH. I am 2/2/0/4 currently, only thing is is that I wish you would keep transfer at management 4. B/C if transfer were to stay with Master then only master's could really be effective in training, taming, selling, giving mounts. That would put a tad too much demand on MCH possibly to the point where they are annoyed with people's request for mounts that know transfer. Noone would go straight for transfer and exploit it b/c of the other balanced skill trees. SO I think leaving transfer at CH management 4 would be quite reasonable and couldn't possibly hurt anyone.
I aslo agree with many others that a Master CH should be able to see the level of creatures. We as Masters should be quite knowledgeable about what level creatures are and can be. Plus we put a ton of work time and skill points into becoming a MCH.
I do have one question though and anyone who knows can answer it. Under the current proposal as a MCH we still get to control creatures of lvl 70. In bringing out 2 creatures can we have 2 LVL 70 creatures or will it stay the same as it is now where you could bring out only 2 of lvl 35? I am confused about this because it was stated like this before but it might have been changed to let Management 3 keep the +1 additional active pets. SOO is it....
#1) Q. Number of pets?
A.) Management 3 +1 active and no more active with Master.
B.) Management 3 +1 active and with Master +1 active making a possible 3 active pets.
#2)
A.) Upon reaching Master you can control 2 lvl 70 active pets.
B.) Upon reaching Master you can control 3 lvl 70 active pets.
C.) Upon reaching Master you can control 2 lvl 35 or 3 lvl 23 pets.
D.) Upon reaching Master you can control 2 lvl 35 pets.
Please someone have a informative and correct answer for this.

Great the dev caved into all the whinners. We had been taking a step away from MonsterWars , but it apears that now that is all we will ever have. It is a real shame that the dev's did not have the backbone to go threw with what was orignially a great plan to steer the game away from this. As I can see now there is basicly no change at all , just go ahead and give them more animals , new commands and trash the whole redesign because as it stands you are basicly leaving the same system in place.
Arctic, you're directing your rage at the symptoms.
Why are there so many creature pets?
Because they're the only way to take on high-end combat, because the melee classes are broken.
So, you'd prefer to cripple everyone in the game in your po-ke-mon temper tantrum, rather than find a solution that causes creature pets, organically, to become less prevalent.
For there to be a real change, three things need to happen:
1. Creatures are measured by a system that takes both their offensive and defensive capabilities into account.
2. Broken professions are fixed
3. Environmental bugs, like pet pathing/mob warping/mob AI are a thing of the past.
THEN we can look at the issues of balance.
In a rational world, this is what could happen. Instead, we get people like you who are crying about "po-ke-mon" demanding that one of the few professions that for the most part work be nerfed because of your personal dislike for it.
