The drop rate is awesomely high!! My collection of Nightsister Lances is huge!
Oh wait.. crystals...
150+ nighsisters (got tired of counting at that point)
1 damage crystal. Don't remember the stats exactly, but they were bad (-damage).
*sigh* please introduce either quests or at least weaker crystals that drop of weaker mobs.

100+ Tusken Warlords: 2 color crystals
Drop rate is way too low. During a whole weekend spent at Fort Tusken that's all I got--2 color crystals. Much of that time I wasn't even earning Jedi exp since I couldn't kill the warlords, chiefs, and captains with lightsaber novice. I earned somewhere in the neighborhood of 800k unarmed exp though.
Crystals needed to make sabers so thatJedi can actually use their skills need to be obtainable through aJedi-only quest or something similar. Camping the places with mobs that drop crystals will lead to camping of these locations by non-Jedi thus making the Jedi gain visibility and having them show up on the terminals...

Personally, I feel this is ridiculous. We shouldn't even have to be discussing crystal drop rates. Jedi shouldn't have to rely on random loot for crystals. Jedi should be able to craft crystals of low/medium quality. At the very least, they should be able to craft their color crystal.
Jedi should be giveninstanced caves/missions into whichthey go alone (or in groups for the harder missions), and if they succeed at the mission they are rewarded with a crystal/pearl of varying quality depending upon the mission difficulty. Allow the jedi to retake the missions as often and as many times as they want. This would certainly be a lot better form of content for jedi than having to hunt and kill a bunch of enemies for random loot. It would certainly also help remove the ludicrous act of jedi spending thousands upon thousands of credits on crystals since non-jedi would be unable to access these jedi crystal missions.
Imagine for example - The dark jedi enclave has discovered a hunter on tatooine who came across a cave being used by krayt dragons as a spawning ground. Knowing how useful krayt pearls are in lightsabers, the dark jedi enclave wishes the hunter located. The pc dark jedi would then have to head to tatooine to track down the hunter. Upon finding the hunter and extracting the location of the cave from him, the dark jedi is able to go alone or with a group of dark jedi into the krayt spawning ground to hunt for krayt pearls.
Is it wrong to want to see actual content, actual quests instead of "kill these enemies and pray for loot"?
Regardless, its seems the cry for craftable crystals and/or crystal quests has gone unheard. Jedi seem doomed to kill hundreds upon hundreds of enemies for random loot and/or pay outlandish prices for the most basic component of a lightsaber. If that's how its going to be than the drops rates need to be seriously increased.

With the new system we have a max of 4 pearls/crystals in our sabers. Now they decay and the saber doesnt. In the old system we could atleast repair the sabers to extend their life, now we cant. I actually see the new system as a big step in the wrong direction.
I played on TC2 and my crystals wore out just as fast as my saber did on live. Crystals drop more regularly now, but we are still completely dependent on the economy. We shouldnt be at all. We HAVE to pay for buffs, and we HAVE to buy crystals. This is unfair to us. I have never read a book or seen a movie where a jedi pays 500k for a crystal... have you TH?
Why couldnt we get instance Crystal Caves for jedi only? or quest based systems?
Well i never read a book or seen a movie where Jedi where so common during this timeline . so i guess we are both **edit** out of luck huh?

I have been playing this game since July '03 and I have never looted a crystal, but I have seen a few looted by people in the same group. But no more than 10 in all that time.
I don't understand why afk/macro looting is allowed. It seems to me that allowing this has absolutely no FUN value and no FAIRNESS value. If people are able to camp these spots anyway to farm crystals and such, they should at least be rquired to be in front of their keyboard playing the game while they do it. This might also help the crystal situation for jedi.

18 Hutt expedition force Leaders = 0 color crystals
18 Hutt expedition force Surveyors = 1 color crystal
23 Lost Aqualish Marksman = 1 color crystal
22 Lost Aqualish Bombers= 0 color crystals
3 Lost Aqualish Marshalls = 0 color crystals
(too many to count) Tuskans = 0 damage crystals
(too many to count) Nightsister Stalkers = 0 damage crystals
(too many to count) Nightsister Outcasts = 0 damage crystals
25 Nightsister Sentinals = 0 damage crystals
22 Nightsister Spellweavers = 0 damage crystals (but plenty of frikin axes tho!)
9 Nightsister Protectors = about 3k in coin
Those are all the things I bothered to take note of. It never took me very long to get a color crystal, but I didn't once get a damage crystal.

Why are all these posts on the In Development forum??? Do you plan on pushing the Jedi 'revamp' broken then having Jedi Revamp II in a few months to fix all the problems?

The technical term for this gameplay formula is "whack a foozle, loot the foozle, repeat".

Over 300 varying Tuskens at fort= 3 Color Crystals (between group members, we stayed til we each got one.)
Over 200 varying Nightsisters looted one DMG crystal, 33 dmg, -9 force, -.2xx speed, however in this time I looted two Exceptional DOT weapons one is a CDEF Carbine (Exceptional) off of a NS Protector. The crystal was looted from a Spellweaver.
Black Sun guys, over 20 of them = 0 crystals and 1 pair of BH Boots.
Over 20 varying force wielders on Dantooine = 0 crystals
Over 40 Singing Mountain Clans varying difficulty = 0 crystals
