Thread: Weekly Roundtable Discussion (Week Ending 4-19-04)
There is really no discussions going on here. It all seems a one way communication. But if you care to discuss, here are some points.
1) Droid Engineer Changes for Publish 8??? Any??? What?
2) Is there any Database fix progress?
3) I know the Top 10 is your "part time" pet, but how about the "Official" Top 5? Any answers to those? If you are corresponding with correxpondents, how come you (not you TH but the proverbial SOE "you"), wont let them even say a peep about it? What is the point of this "communication" redsign if it only appears a one way street?
I want, on the character sheet, this changed:

What is the points of these weekly threads, when you only respond to a handful of minor issues? Where's the discussion?
I agree... there is no point to these threads, nor is there any discussion going on. And even the handful of issues that are responded to, are hollow and empty... usually along the lines of ... i will check on it... sorry, thats the way it goes... etc..
Please bring back the discussion forum. At least that way, we can discuss things with other players, since there is no discussion coming from the dev's end.

Could you PLEASE make a statement to the community regarding the Jedi revamp?
Countless community members, including Arjun (the Jedi Correspondant), have been pleading for a little bit of information about what will be happening to the profession. PLEASE make a statement about the revamp, and what we can expect.
No one wants any spoilers or secerts here. We just want to know what we can expect, so that we can determine whether or not our efforts are in vain.
Giving this statement now will make your job easier! The rumors and concernes in the community will calm if you give us just a bit of info, and will leave you with less to sort through. Please, please address this.

You will get 75 items per lot, instead of 25, up to a max of 250 items per house.
No vendors nor their contents will count against the house limit.
Factory crates will count as 1 volume, not 5.
We realize this doesn't get you all the way back to where you were, but it should improve the situation. A fuller solution cannot be accomplished by the morning, which is why we're only going this far. We want to do as much as we can as quickly as we can.
There are other things that we can and will be doing, but they will take longer.
(Since I am sure someone will ask: why not just roll back the code? Because it was multiple integrations and changelists, and it'd be somewhat hairy. This is safer).

-------------------------------------------------------------------------I am going to ask my questions in order of the statements from Holocron. What is the "fuller solution"?When can we expect to see it?What "other things" have you done to deal with this issue and what is still to come?
So, can you please tell me and the community if and when you:
Can just up the items per lot some?
Can not have a hard cap for large houses and PA Halls and such?
Axiously awaiting your reply

As an armorsmith with well over 200 "items" worth of resources, not to mention factory crates, looted components, etc...
I'd like to second this inquiry. I beleive that the item limits can be lived within for non-crafters (lived within, not "is right", it should still be higher) but this is extremely limiting for a crafter.
Idea for a solution... allow architects to make a specialized storage unit, that will only store resources. This item would take up more than one slot (5?) in a house, be limited to one per house, but would allow for the storage of up to 100-200 resources, depending on quality. no crates, no other items, only resources.
Great suggestion, this would be very helpful! Keep an eye on those waypoints though!

I agree, just change the name of the thread to weekly answers to safe questions. I realize some are busy but all these ideas that havent been backed up.
Thats why I am enjoying the heck out of CoH, it may not have crafting and what not, but they took a boring combat system and sprice it up with eye candy and its fun as hell.
We got creatures nerfed and........well thats it, because after 3 months of stating wait til combat revamp, wait til combat revamp, we get a uh, gee, were, not ready so we are going to ask YOU whats fun to play. that way if it sucks we can get it thrown in our faces, its what we wanted.
look at your numbers and see how many were eagerly waiting a combat change than jedi change?
And space? were all told to wait for e3, BIG SECRET, but we are your paying customers and yet we will get a peek the same time everybody else it. Good PR...
OK my rants over, going back to CoH now and save the innocent.
