My only question is does the TEF clear if a BH with a mission brings a group and a groupmember delivers the db and not the BH?

we are becoming visible because although we change out of our Padawan robes, it only appears client-side -- there is some defect that there is not an immediate server update so the whole world sees us when we shuttle etc. No idea of how long the duration for there to be an update, but doesn't seem to happen if you log quickly or shuttle either.

if you run two instances of the client and switch any clothing or armor, you will notice with your other client that the toon has not changed -- it still wears the same items. I can confirm this with any clothing/armor items, not just Padawan robes. And even without two instances running, friends in-game confirm this too:there is some (intermittent?) defect with clothing/armor/wpn transfers.

  2. Kettemoor
  3. Dant, but happens anywheres
  4. not relevant
  5. switching any clothing/armor items (Padawan robes or other) does not instantly update to the clients of other players. The server retains wrong information on what we are equipped with, robes or sabers, even after we switch.
  6. switch items, anything. Run two instances, or try normal switching, or switching in a house/speeder/others, or switching while moving, or in combat.... It happens consistently for my Jedi and my non-Jedi toons.

Edit: obviously this is a game breaking issue for some, since anyone who unlocked post-patch09 has their main asFS/Jedi. Any death whatsoever results in XP loss. And it seems for many new Padawans, even when we try to avoid being seen, we are collecting visibility. So, the only alternative being given is to drop Jedi, which some claim is also impossible. So in turn, that maymean just dropping the game otherwise.

I don't think it's realistic for SOE to presume players want to use their second slot to grind up another main character.

Some clarification please:

-----------------------------------------------------

Information:

Jedi players will gain visibility if the following actions are performed while players or NPCs are near:

  • Equipping a lightsaber.
  • Engaging in combat with a lightsaber.
  • Using a force power.

------------------------------------------------------

Is this only when done near others or do we still gain visiblity hunting in the middle of nowhere with no one around ?

Is it the act of equiping the lightsaber or is it just having one equiped ?

If i equip my saber in the privacy of my house then travel to the cantina in coronet(busiest one on my server) will i gain visibility ?

----------------------------------------------------

Information:

Jedi visibility is reset to zero only when a bounty hunter that has a mission on a Jedi kills that Jedi. Visibility is not reset by random Jedi death.

------------------------------------------------------

Does this mean the 3 week visibility decay has been removed ?

thanks in advance

Here's my feeback, this is just downright sad how much time you devs are spending coding for the Jedi. How is it we have yet more fixs etc for Jedi? Explain to me how the hell, two full publishs are not enough that you have to go out and continue this pandering to the smallest portion of your playerbase? Explain to me how to hell it is you say that you don't have one part of the Combat Balance coded by your own ommision, and yet another patch dedicated to Jedi. I can't take this any more and I won't

You should pray that your proffesion doen't get the same kind of attention that Jedi have gotten.

Silly question -- does NPC include 'creatures', or just sentient beings? I'm going to be very sad the day I first use a lightsaber to take out a pack of gualamas or something only to find out that one of them managed to get the transponder working and alert the Empire of my crimes before I killed it.

I don't buy that Memnoch, that's just an excuse and an easy out for purposely avoiding bounty hunters. This is a Multiplayer game, the point is your not suppose to be able to buff your toon with another toon of yours, that defeats the purpose of the game....and if you are running both on the same computer at the same time....also violates the EULA........( It is fine to have more than one account, but it clearly states to run them at the same time requires more than one computer. Thus with one computer you'd have to log out of one toon before you could log another on. )

Feedback:

I am cradossk of the flurry server. Within an hour or so of playing, me and my friend were already being hunted. Now this means that either the terminals didn't clear, or visibility is way messed up, because NOTHING saw me.. no NPCs, no players, no anything. Tiggs, please tell me- what is up? This is really making it impossible to gain any progress.

EDIT: Oh yea, also, I died a few days ago to a BH. I was back on the boards in 2 hours. Again, nothing saw me and I was extremely careful not to be seen. Something is wrong.

Actually, running multiple instances is not a violation of the EULA. Check the EULA, no where in there does it say anything about multiple instances.

The only response I've seen from SOE on multiple instances is various posts from TSR-Chad specifically stating that multiple instances was not something they would support...

TSR-Chad response

TSR-Chad has responsed the same way multiple times, feel free to search for them...

I've been playing since May and I've seen a great number of Jedi flaunting their powers in public. This has dramatically increased since Publish 9. This really just gives them all a free pardon and encourages more of the same actions.

I understand that some were griefed, at the same time some of those using foul language or other actions goaded their griefers.

Can we see something done about the following exploits while we are fixing Jedi.

1) Jedi that log on and off frequently to avoid BH droids. These Jedi are exploiting a weakness in the code and should be banned from the game like any other exploiter. The best thing to do is have the code changed so that the BH droid reports the last known position of the Jedi ( In other words where they went LD )

2) Slicing of lightsabers. This is an exploit and was not intended to be able to be done. Any sliced lightsaber should immediately be removed from the game. Any future use of this exploit should result in the banning of the offending Jedi's account.

Gee, that MAY be an exploit but to us smugglers who can take wires out of a stone knife and slice stone knives, it acctualy felt like content to be able to slice lightsabres. Kick us while we are down! IT WILL DO YOU NO GOOD! we quit feeling pain months ago!
