Boy the DEVs are right on the ball, really makes you wonder if they have any clue about this game.

Man, I really didnt think this was going to happen. I have to eat my own words now. Oh well.


But I agree with the paying customer above who said that you denied Smugglers something new because you didnt want to take away from everyone in the game but you have just done that to make ID's more viable. I also agree with the paying customer who said that the 10 minute stat migration by an ID was enough, and thats all I thought they were getting. That is enough to get people to seek out an ID to do this.


To revoke the normal slow stat migration from the regular person is just a bad move here guys. Please think it over.

Ok, here's my input.



1) The tents are very cool! In fact, the whole revamp sounds pretty interesting. I would like to see in the future the addition of PLAYER STRUCTURE ID tents. (Preferably placeable anywhere, but of course it'll probably just end up in player cities).


2) The stat migration has me a little confused. It seems that you are saying that players will no longer be able to migrate their own stats-- period. I think this is NOT a good thing. I think you should:



  • Keep the stat migration system the way it is now BUT

  • ADD IN the additional feature of being able to visit an Image Designer to get the stat migration done in 10 minutes (as opposed to sometimes up to a full week of RL time).

I concurr, the sheer lack of IDs can cause issues with people finding one when they need to tweak their stats. I'm not a fan of cutting players off from a gameplayfeature they have direct control of, just so another class can have some usefulness other than playing hairstylest.


But, I also have an alternative...


Allow Image Designers to migrate stat migration, but also allow Players to migrate their stats via an option on the Image Design Booth, at a "money sink" rate (say 100k) anddouble an Image Designers time factor.


That gives the game another money sink, (instead of shuffling the cash around via /tips for services), gives IDs a valuable community tool to use, and also allows players a means to get done what they need to get done if they really need to migrate stats, but can't find an ID and can afford the cost.

That doesnt make much sense. How about an NPC ID or something because it is not easy to find Image Designers.

So if only ID's can do stat migrations where does this leave new players?


A long time agoyou could migrate your stats when creating your character, then it went away (I'm not sure when). Instead you could change your stats in the starting area and they would migrate instantly (I have no idea if all this recent "New Player Experience" stuff had any effect on this). Now what option does a new player have? Tracking down an ID could prove to be quite difficult for a newbie player imo...



(BTW, I'm not in support of this change either. Players should still be able to migrate the same way they always could, there will still be enough demand from players thatwant the migration done immediately to go to ID's.)

I am willing to wait and see on the stat migration.


Since the ID’s will be doing this in the ID tents, I don’t really think it will be that hard to find an ID to migrate my stats, and I will get the changes right away. I don’t really mind paying for it since I won’t do it that often. (If ever)


Ok, so I lost an ability I only used once or twice ever anyways. I can live with that if it helps another profession and thereby adds content to the game.


Lets give it a chance, if the doomsayers are right we can always change it back.

Cmon Devs, read all the feedback and do the right thing. I always say, Minimal effort required to achieve the desired effect. Adding something new and usefulfor IDs is a good thing and is what you were trying to do. Takingsomething useful awayfrom the communityis ALWAYS a bad thing. Why cant you just do a good thing? Does it always have to be a good thing with bad side effects?


The ID mini-update is neat and should make the IDs happy, however... I SERIOUSLY doubt that it will bring a bunch of new IDs into the fold, other then those who just wanna check it out for awhile. This has the effect of making stat migration a rare commodity. Very undesirable.


Can't you just make normal stat migration take alittle longer or something if you really dont thing the ID changes are enough by themself?


On a side note: Please dont post inthis format again TH, this post is 3 pages across which makes it a real pain to read, maybe its just me.

With the lack of ID's out there whats stopping them from charging 100k to migrate your stats? This is an absolutly terrible idea IMO
