Mohr, run a test where it won't harm anyone or benefit you substantially.

Directly afterwards, if it still exists, /bug it.

After that, do not test it again until another update has come through.

That's the best way to go about it.

Yep...thats good advice. This advice works here too since they have clearly stated how its supposed to work and theyclearly statedthat doing it in under 2 minutes is considered to not be working correctly. I like it when things are clear cut like this and wish more things could be handled like this.

People cried that it would loose the Immersion feeling of the game - so they took it out.

I never understood why a doc can buff 6 stats in under 2 minutes while we dancers could only do one which took us 8-10. I think 1 min buffs were just about on par... but hey, that's just me.I only play 2 Master Dancers, one of which has been doing it since last July.

Why? Doc buffs dont take nearly as long.

That's not really true. Doctor buffs take a minimum of 18 seconds per stat (if you're a master). So with 6 stats you're looking at 108 seconds for a set of buffs. That's only 12 seconds less than the minimum stated above. Andthe devs wouldhave looked a little silly saying you have to watch a performer for 108 seconds just to make it "equal".

Roque,

what's the deal with new Starport routes? Please??? I thought I'd read two different development posts (1 by TH in a thread and one in an interview on the home page) saying that expanded starport routes were coming. It doesn't have to be "any port to any port", but something that keeps me from having to make 3 shuttle hops from a Corellian moon to Lok would be MUCH appreciated.

Having entertainer buffs take so long to do makes them pretty much useless for group hunts. Do you imagine we would bother getting such buffs for a 10 man strong team going into the corvette? No.. because if the buff takes 5mins to do then that's a full 50mins downtime for the entire team unless we locate several masters.

Now with the current little "exploit" avaialable these buffs came into their own rights, finally. Entertainers are much more sought after now that these buffs can be applied so fast(half a minute or so). This is GOOD for the entertainers as it gives them more business, something that they definately need.

Entertainers can buff a whole group by doing a /setperform on the leader and all others watch. After the 5-10 minutes or whatever it takes, the whole group is buffed. We had our dancer do this for us before going to the Corvette, only took a few minutes.

The /setperform is not necessary. As long as all the people to be buffed are in the same group with the dancer/musician and they are all watching or listening, they'll all get the buff.

Easier still... just get the dancer/musician INTO your group and thereby everyone watching gets buffed.

Why are you in such a rush? It's very cool that mind buffs take a long time. How else are you going to get to know that master dancer in your guild and give him/her the feeling of belonging? When you invite your entertainer along for the hunt, it allows them to know you too for 15 minutes, and that's not asking for a lot. It seems really callous to invite that entertainer, get them to buff you in 2 minutes, then send them on their way.

Your calculation of 50 minutes is way off base, pessimisticand ignorant of how group buffs work. It's 15 minutes for a team of 2 or 20.

Right on SOE, keep this up and you're gonna have people liking you or something. lol
