You have them - any city with storm troopers being farmed by hoards of rebels :-)

not true...a rebel can rack up a few k of faction EASY...we show up and kill the four rebels farming. we get 120ish faction...the rebels still have a few thousand and can move to one of the other cities to farm. we have to track them down (takes time) and kill them again and they already have a few thousand more faction.

we can get faction faster by running missions. we have no free faction farm.

If Imperials don't like to see Rebels "farming" faction in town -- maybe they should kill them?

fact of the matter is...I do kill them...but by the time I get to a city that is being farmed they could have 3k faction and i kill the group they loose 20 to 40 faction...they are still up a couple thousand faction. they shuttle of or wait till i leave and start up again...

since the novatroopers are gone the regular city troopers should be 0 faction, 0 xp, and 0 loot as easy as they are.

Ok, then anything that your AT-ST helps you kill should give 0 FP also.

Like the Imperials don't have the best thing for farming FP! P'shaw.

Some of my pet peeve bugs:
•Armorsmith protection layers were not converted with the CU.
•Ship Details window does not close when you click "Travel" resulting in the message "You have lost the target. Closing interface."

Uh, what do you call the "Hidden" Rebel Base on Corellia?

(sorry - if a moderator can move this thread to the GCW forum, please do)

Feel free to take our AT-ST if you'd like, mine have been in my datapad since August. Won't be coming out either until the Devs decide that a guy punching < Metal.

Also, my AT-ST is "s'possed" to only be good for killing overts. They won't attack PvE on command anymore, they won't attack TEF'd players and they stop attacking/defending as soon as the owner drops. Not sure what server you play on, but I haven't seen a player controlled AT-ST since last September at the absolute latest.

I'm not sure what game you're playing, but they added ten of thousands of hit points to AT-STs, fixed it so they will attack TEF'd players (quite a while ago) and they will attack any factioned enemy.

I never said anything about you using them in PvE, I simply stated they are the easiest way to farm faction points and require very little skill to operate.

I don't want them taken away, I never said anything like that. I'm saying that if you think the crackdown is unfair because of the opportunity for Rebels to farm faction, welcome to the club. Imperials have had the best Faction Point gaining tool from the very beginning of the game.

Strange. Mine refuse to attack any TEF'd players. And the increase of HAM means nothing with the reduction in armour and lowering of resistances. Most solo players can still take AT-ST down.

Using an AT-ST to 'farm faction' does not work as the AT-ST will suck up all the faction points itself.

Again, we don't gain fp using an AT-ST. The AT-ST absorbs all the faction points when we use them to "kill stuff". So no, we aren't in the same club by far.

they took the nova troopers out?
I did not see anything about that in the patch notes, and I read all the dev posts...

when was this?
why?

The issue is not that we see rebels farming the storm troopers, it's that that exact action is very un-star wars. You don't see that happening in the movies. Storm Troopers are elite soldiers to be feared, but I don't see many players being very scared of them, especiallyin Mos Espa where there are loads of them... A small squad, sure I can see a player taking them on... but not a city full. If the rebels choose to mount an organised attack, that is a different story, but one individual should not be able to clear out Mos Espa, or the Imperial Outpost on Dantooine, unless that one individual is ahigher levelJedi.

I know there were several technical issues with the nova troopers, and other unforseen problems... spy net operatives and smuggler trainers in getting into fights with them... while that looks funny, it's not meant to happen in the game mechanics. I agree with other people though, the generic white storm trooper, or at least a new variant, should have perhaps been beefed to 50k and given some higher resists. Those black hole storm troopers just took away from the feeling even though they are valid in sw lore. They should have been reserved for backup squads that land when the normal stormies are in trouble.

However, this really should be in the GCW forum too... be nice if Garva or someone could just pick up these replies and move them all.

I dunno what's wrong with yours, but maybe it's because you've had it in your datapad. The fix wasn't until March 17th. It just seems like quite a while ago, it's really only been a month and a half since it was fixed.

check there under Pets. There are a lot of notes to go through, so maybe some people missed it.

About the rest of your message and the fact that the AT-ST basically steals any faction points on things that it kills, I thought that might be the case. At any rate you can get missions that give out more FP by grouping with your AT-ST and have it kill theflag/lair and you still get the FP for completing the mission.

I don't know if most solo players can take down an AT-ST. I never see anyone farming the one near the starport in Kor Vella. You'd think people would farm that if they are so easy to kill.

If you've had your AT-STs in your datapad since August, you haven't seen how much they'vefixed about them. They raised them from 18k HAM to 55k HAM andthey are much more resistant to fire now. They can no longer be poisoned or diseased. They've made a lot of changes for the better for the AT-STs. Sure the Kinetic resistance is lower and the Armor rating is lower, but the extra 37,000 HAM should compensate for that.

Much thanks for that fix, lost a group to it last night (my fault for trying the corvette on publish day).

I was also having an issue with the rebel rescue mission, as i did not complete the mission after talking to the pilot. Is this a known bug?
