Yay....BH as high offence/medium defence...I like that answer

Yeah, you guys do get killed on skill points, but the only ranged/dizzy KD attack is a "very high offence" If anything, they should make more points for TKA...

Further complicating the balance of Bounty Hunters is that while their flexibility is severely limited they can still benefit greatly from the acquisition ofadditional combat skills thatshareprerequisites with the Bounty Hunter profession. If we balance the power gained for the 217 skill point cost to reach Master BountyHunter to be the same as spending 217 skill points inother combat professions like Commando and Teras Kasi then Bounty Hunter may be overpoweredafter purchasing additional Pistol or Carbine skills. All thingsneed to be considered when determining the proper balance of a profession.

Appreciated, though I feel it bears mentioning that a player who invests 217 skill points in professions OTHER than MBH still has those 33 other points with which to dabble just as a MBH would.

Furthermore, those players who do not choose to Master the BH profession and spend their remaining skill points elsewhere do so with the same advantages and disadvantages that a non-bounty hunter player would - therefore, the whole statement is moot IMO.

Thanks for the answers TH. I really hope the combat revamp comes sooner then later. Combat is soo unbalanced at this point in time. Is there a way we could get a Friday Feature that would give us some insights into some of the ideas going into it?

As for this:

Glitterstim: (Master Smuggler); Boost to Health, Strength, Action, Quickness, Mind, Force Power Max Force Power Regeneration.

Now we'll have a whole new subset of drug-addicted Jedi!

Yes, Lightsabers are being revamped along with the entire Jedi profession. The details on the lightsaber changes, along with Jedi revamp changes are going to be released as soon as possible

YAY! another un answered question for jedi.... you had 2 weeks you think you could have gave us SOMETHING other then we will find out later...

/sigh

There are so many problems with Lightsabers, its not to hard to say "Yes we are lowering the decay rate, we are changing the crystal/pearl system to making a saber easier, and we realize that "Kinetic" is the wrong type of damage for a lightsaber and it will be changed"

You see, that gives us the answers, but still leaves details to be discussed... right now we have no new info..

It seems your answer regarding the lightsaber questionis incomplete, why is it that you can't give some details about it?

people are waiting for a week on this and we get such an answer as this...

Because the work is going on now. By the time I do the next Jedi Archives, I will have more information and include it in that feature.

When do you think the next Jedi Archives will be?

I disagree with this....

Anyone who spends 217 skill points on combat (just like the BH) will have plenty of areas they can expand into just like the BH for the additional skill points. If they spend additional skill points on combat they aren't unbalanced, because they can't be compared to that other person who spends 217 any more...not they must be compared with a person of greater combat ability.

This isn't a problem, it is the way the game works...

Using your example, commando/TKA: Commando is a master marksman and 4000 brawler...that means they can expand into pistoleer, carbineer, rifleman, and smuggler without any additional prereqs.

Fact is, almost everyone has a bunch of marksman/brawler/scout that already meets the prereqs for several professions. You can't avoid this, and it isn't unbalanced...it is just the way it is.

It needs to be thought of like this... BHs spend a bunch of skill points on marksman and scout skills. That means they have a bunch of experience shooting guns and scouting, and will pick up skills like pistol and handling creatures MUCH sooner and better than someone who has never seen or shot a gun or a creature.

It's not unbalanced...it just makes sense.

So, no, we are not going to nerf Axkva, but rather, place a strong focus on the Pikeman profession in the Combat Balance as they deserve (which would include giving Pikemen a weapon or ability so that they could participate in these types of Night Sister Raids).

how about restoring the kinetic damage rifles WHICH WERE KINETIC BEFORE, AND WERE CHANGED WITH NO NOTICE so that riflemen can actually damage nightsisters

Umm...what? Rifleman are probably the best damage-dealers to Axkva and all the Nightsister elders. A T21 is Heavy AP and deals energy dmg...they have heavy armor and 30% energy resists...additionally, Rifleman are the only people who can solo the elders (conceal shot forever).../boggle

I do not understand why it would take a week to answer these 19 questions. The simple answer to all of them would be to wait untill the Combat Balance. Other than the smugglers question, this was the answer to all of the questions.

My question would be, Why are you leading the players on this way?

it gives Pikeman a useful and much desired weapon.

Um... One of the main problems is that the Nightsister Energy Lance is NOT useful. For the risk and time required in getting this weapon the stats are terrible. Its only AP1, the damage is easily outstriped by most looted LVAs and the DoTs it has are useless at best.

As an item that required over a onth of effort (if you're lucky) to get the NEL without a doubt leaves a lot to be desired.

thanks TH for the BH answer....i think we were all dreading a "to be adressed in CB" vanilla answer. sure it was slightly vague, but it does hint at some loving for us BH.High/Medium works for me

p.s. on a side not.....wouldnt those Smuggler missions to smuggle "phat loot" be a great opportunity for some Bounty missions on smugglers who run with the goods...just a thought
