That sounds pretty good actually. Adding more vendors to artisan was a very nice touch. It still kind of sucks if you're a non-artisan crafter though. High quality buffs are hard to come by already on my server and this could make it worse. A lot of heartache and hurt feelings could have been avoided if you had levels like this to begin with. The initial levels were ludicrous to almost everyone familiar with the playing of a merchant/crafter. It's this kind of perceived disconnect from the game that some devs have that bothers me the most.

I still think Master Merchant should get a bigger bonus though. I will never be one, but that might be reason enough for some people to use the skill points on it.



For me this is acceptable as this will only increase my vendors by one. I would not like dealing with 12 vendors though.

So... I guess the concept of using merchant tents to sell things is toast. No merchant tent around will ever hold 12 vendors. Not and be usable, anyway.


I like the new limit (3k is acceptable), but the limit REALLY needs to be aggregate, so that I can have 3k items spread out over as many vendors as I like. You guys can cap us to 20 items on the bazaar; now just cap us to 3000 items on our vendors -- any number of vendors -- and we'll be set. Having to maintain 12 vendors just to keep a decent stock on the shelves is ridiculous. =)


Good so far, but still room for improvement.

Simple database logic.

If you have 1 vendor with 3000 items, each time someone accesses the vendor, all 3000 items must be loaded, leading to strain on database. With 250 limit per vendor, database strain is much lower. Strain is not just in how much is in database, but how much must be loaded in each time.

But what is the reason that we couldn't have 6 vendors with 500 max items on them? Not complaining and I really appreciate you working for us on this. I guess I just missed the reasoning on that.

TH, thats not nice, thats a compromise I didnt expect, and you turned mysuggestion into something thats on the bottom end of what people might expect.


However, maybe you find the time to explain ab bit why there has to be a limit and why it has to be so low?


This is still below what a lot of us Merchant wants, and to accept it, it would be good to know why. In my Eyes, its not a balance Issue, because the number of available Vendors will go down due to the removal of exploited vendors we need high limits for those legal vendors. Otherwise noone plays Merchant and the economy is as broken in the future as it is now.


And btw, maybe you could peek into my post in the merchant-forum :-)

Why is the limit on Vendors and no on Master Merchant?

Many vendors only creates mess and lag when loading

The final number is much better although still lower than I would like. Question. Why Increase the number of vendors? Why not just spread the 3000 across all 6 current vendors. IE. Bus 3. Max of 100. Nov Merchant 2 Vendors with a max of 300 (Total of both vendors), and so forth up the line to Master that would allow 3000 items on 1 vendor or 3000 items on 6 vendors. Some people only operate 1 or 2 vendors and forcing them to use 12 vendors to provide all of their wares to people is a little insane. Is this possibly a way to add another money sink into the economy?



Also, I have a vendor with 5000 items on it selling weapons. How will this affect me?

Much better, thanks! 12 Vendors is going to be sweet. This will make multi town/planet selling a lot easier as well! No complaints about this at all
