Very Noticeable change. thank you. I also enjoy the "auto inventory" ability that puts it in your inventory if you have space.

TH, got a question for you, mon frère. When the resource names and quantities return, is it going to slow down the marketplace again? I guess my point is: it's hard to judge the functionality of the bazaar and vendors right now because we don't know how the database is going to respond once it has the full data to deal with again.

As of right now, the response time of bazaar and vendor listings is amazing. If this speed can be maintained once the resource names and quantities are reinstated, you guys will have made me a very happy Wookiee

Introducing the bug that removed the quantity and subtype of resources from the bazaar/vendor display (and also the issues with factory crates) overshadowed any back-end changes that were made. This was generally seen as a big step backwards and should have been kept from the Live servers. This was very disappointing.

There are still a lot of listings that still say, for instance, "Carnivore Meat" with no resource name or quantity. In fact, on Wanderhome, every Organic Food in the whole galaxy on the bazaar is listed that way. Not sure if all these were added between tuesday and today, but it seems doubtful.

As far as I'm concerned, all 'commodities trading' is broken and mostly useless until SOMEONE looks at my In Concept posts regarding a PROPER commodities trading system.

Your way or the Highway, eh? Well I am sure you know where the Highway is so...The system in place, besides the expected hiccup once in a while, works just fine...It is easy to use, and very accessible.

I'll give you that the bazaars actually work now, but it remains a very clunky system for trading resources. I also object that the devs call it 'commodities trading', when its little more than a vending machine/automated flea market with serious limits (6000cr, while better than 3000cr, is still a stupid, stupid limit considering what resources trade for in the current economy.)

The system could be a lot better, and I would like the devs to acknowledge this and say they're doing something about it (or say anything at all, really, up to and including 'bug off') so I can stop wasting my time trying to get my suggestion for fixing it through.

Note: We had one item with the bazaar that will be hot fixed on Friday (Today) that pertains to auction listings and listing items your items on the bazaar and we look forward to hearing from you on that issue as well.

Auction Listings

With the new commodity server “back-end”, there was an issue with listing resource items and being able to identify the resource information.

Resource containers placed on the bazaar prior to Tuesday’s Publish (#9) will be fixed on Friday July, 2nd.Any items placed on the bazaar between Tuesday’s Publish and Friday morning can never be automatically fixed. They will have to be un-listed and then re-listed by the auction owner.

Good job improving the speed of the bazaar. It's quite amazing what you've been able to do considering how long its been bad. My onlyworry is that when you put in the fix for the resource name/quantity problems that theincrease in speed will disappear and that the system will lag as bad as it did before.

TH, does today's Commodities Market update only refer to the Bazaars or does it also apply to merchant vendors?

If it applies also to merchant vendors:

  • Does that mean that items that were on vendors before Tuesday's Publishwill be automatically fixed?

  • Does it mean that every resource/factory crateon a vendor needs to be relisted?

  • I didn't notice a change this morning after server reset, but then again I didnt relist anything.

If it doesn't apply to merchant vendors, when can the merchants expect vendors to be fixed?

The bazaar is working much faster now thanks.

The experienced effect may be caused by the lack of people using it now though, with the listing bug(s). But I have no doubt that it will still be faster when the bug is fixed. Personally I will be spending only the absolute minimum time needed looking for things while this bug exists.

The performance has improved.

Still some minor freezes occasionally when I am.

a. Using the stockroom

b. Restocking the vendor

c. Selling at a city bazaar

Retrieve system is starting to work properly.

The system needs some tweaks. It could definately use a method to sell the same product multiple times with one selection. (i.e. highlight your sales and use a one click method of placing highlighted items up for sale)

I do not understand why some people are stating that the bazaar is working normally again.

I just tested it on Sunrunner (with both bazaar and vendor) and it is not indicating the quanitity nor sub-type.

The ONLY columns right now on the resource listing on the Bazaar are:

Premium - Item Name - Item Type - Bid - Time Remaining - Sale Type - Location

I just put up a unit of copper for sale and it lists as:

(blank) - Copper - Inorganic Material - 20 - 6d 23h 55m - Instant - Tatooine, Mos Eisley

NO indication that it is "Efida" copper and NO indication that there is only 1 unit

Hmm interesting, maybe a server side problem.

Ever since this was hotfixed onto Bria, I have been pretty happy with the responsiveness of the bazaar. I used to have to fight with it a lot, particularly during primetime and I haven't had to since the fix was put in.

As others have noted, the fix to once again show resource subtypes and quantities in the bazaar interface does not appear to be in yet. I am curious why this was not discovered on Test Center. Weren't there three Test Centers at one point testing Publish 9 in addition to whatever internal servers SOE has? This has been a previous problem and I am surprised it was missed in regression testing. What is being done to prevent this kind of oversight in the future?
