I'm glad the lead guy is looking for the same sense of fun I look forward to in playing!

As a crafter, I'll enjoy the sights and exploration of space all the while making a profit off of over-acheivers....*sigh*...I can't tell you how much fun I have in this game!

w00t!

Sir I really enjoy your comments and as alwasy the efforts you adn your team put into SWG and the new Jump To Lightspeed, which I have already preordered.

One of the reasons I so enjoy SWG is that I am a Diabetic. I have a tough time with groups and mostly have to solo (to many trips to the bathroom). Some other players get very irratated, due to my frentent stops and starts, sometimes I get whacked and cloned in combat too. I am sure that they are other folks with disabilities that also enjoy SWG, I was wondering for solo players, if some pause element could be put into the combat mode. Then return to combat (I have never log off), however getting cloned, when I can not defend myself can be frustrating at times.

Secondly, because I can not group or have a hard time doing so, I figured that I will never become a Jedi (so much easier with several guild members to get combat points). So am very very happy, that there is now a way for almost anyone to become a Jedi through the jedi trails or quest. Just If you would thank for me and my several handicapped freinds, for an oppertunity to become a Jedi, as well as being able to Solo fight in space. Even purchaced more software, so I can fly play the Tie Fighter and X-Wing fighters (LOL).

Thanks again May The Force Always Be with You and Yours OneObe and Igew on Bria !!

You know what's sad, when someone criticizes this team, they get their post removed. Hmmm can anyone say Communist.

Try again, fix the dang bugs. Who cares about SE? I don't it will suck as bad as this game does now.

....and then no matter how hard we get nerfed, we still keep CH because we are still some of the coolest characters on the game.

I appreciated the comments. The statement I liked best was "During a short pre-production phase, I developed the initial game design document for "Jump to Lightspeed", covering all game systems, ship systems, quest content, starships, locations, etc. "

From other comments previously, I had developed a fear that you were not writing down your designs before the coders got started.

I don't think all criticism is removed.

I have a very critical post in the dev forum on page 8 of the Jedi Archives Vol. III. It isn't a personal attack or anything, and it doesn't criticize the team in broad generalities but rather in specifics.

It's still there and hasn't been removed. I was actually thinking as I was writing it that it wouldn't last very long. But it is still there.

I think this team is a group that can take criticism. But they have made a very fun Beta, don't you agree. And I for one think it's enough fun that I will pay to be in their Beta Club. (I'm talking about the live game....)

I was wondering if anyone at SOE realized how badly the MULTITUDE of annoying, game-killing, should-have-been-fixed-a-long-time-ago bugs are eroding my willingness to continue playing(ie: PAYING for) this game? And JTL comes out this year too eh? Maybe after JTL, everyone at SOE could take a few months or years or whatever to fix the bugs. Maybe make it a Publish ? At this point, I would be willing pay for an expansion if it's sole purpose was to FIX THE BUGS. And please, the form-letter sounding 'We at SOE are all really working hard to provide an enjoyable and rewarding blah blah blah' is getting old. Instead of hauling these pointless messages on the threads, spend more time FIXING THE BUGS.

I know this is not the best place to post this, but there appears to be no other place. I definitely consider this an important issue that the Lead Designer should take to heart, and if the SOE staff don't agree then so be it.

I just posted this on my guild boards. Yes, I know -- another "Why I'm quitting post". But hey -- I'm trying to help the developers out here. In my opinion (I know - everyone has one) someone at SOE needs to re-arrange their priorities.

Anyway... here is the post I made to my PA:

I feel I need to explain my absence, and apologize to any of you I have left hanging....

I have not been in the game the last two or three months or so, and here is why:

As some of you know, some of my factories decayed. I know I had enough credits in them, but the CSR response was effectively "too bad, working as intended-- sorry for your inconvemience". I reply very politely and coherently that I don't believe losing over 1/2 of your net worth on a weekend you don;'t login is "working as intended" and no reply from the CSRs at all. They closed the tiicket and then deleted it. Doh.

Unfortunately, those factories had between 2 and 3 million credits of bio resources in them for Vesarian Brandy, Veghash, Blue Milk. Synthsteak, etc....

I lost about 2/3 of my resources in a single weekend. And I know it shouldn't have happened. I have been in the Information Technology business for almost 20 years, and when a bug deletes my weeks/months of work, I am not tolerant. The CSR response was like a slap in the face, and then they didn't respond to my appeal, and eventually just deleted the ticket. I was irrirated (understatemant/euphemism of the century).

The items that were deletedwere all theresources I had been collecting in order to make the guild a bunch (and I mean a BUNCH) of food and drink, as well as a bit extra for me to sell so I could continue to provide the guild with what we need... and enough to sell to make myself a little extra cash.

In any case, OK... after two or three weeks I figure "OK... it happens. I can recover with enough time and effort. I love the game, andmy guildmates are wonderful people -- the kindI want to be around"

So.... I log back in, all gung-ho to start afresh, and begin to take inventory of what I have, and what I need to get back on track. And a great guildmate gives me a huge amount of excellent berries so I can make brandy again for the guild. Wonderful. Things are going great.

So... I start re-arranging my structures and moving things between packs/structures to consolidate now that I am missing so much stuff. And when moving a few things between packs and structures I get "error..." and the items do not appear where they are supposed to be. What!?!!?

OK. No problem. Logout/login and the problem should be cured -- after all it must just be a display bug.

Heh. No dice. Several hundred thousand MORE resources are gone (including the brandy ingredients). OK. Don't panic. Wait until the next server reboot. Login. Check every structure and pack and guess what... another 2 million in resources gone. Poof. I usually don't curse in-game but **edit**!!??!?!. Now I am really irritated.

I double check everything. I login/out for several days waiting for my stuff to re-appear, but guess what -- not there. My appeal is still outstanding, and I can't add a new one without deleting the old one so I'm screwed.

<rant on> No action on the old one (they'll delete it soon anyway). Not able to enter a new CSR request. Screwed by stupid programmers, stupid CSR reps, and even stupider bugs.

And on top of that, the DEVs are concentrating not on fixing these types of fundamental bugs, but on adding "new content". Doh. They need to fix the freakin' stupidies that are driving people from the game first!.

...and I bet they are wondering why they are losing customers. This is why.

Apparently there is some concern now on their partbecause they are already offering a "trial" subscription (echoes of AO anyone?).

They need to fix EXISTING BUGS NOW.

Anyway, this is why I have not been logged on in the lats 2 or 3 months and why I'llo probably be transferring all my assets to the gMayor and cancelling my account this month. I just see no progress in the correction of thee totally unacceptable bugs that have been permeating the game since Beta. Someone at Sony needs to get their head out of their a&& (er, sand) and re-direct development to fix stupid irritating bugs in the current game. I (and probably thousands of others) will just not tolerate it.

</rant off>

So, I will be back on for long enough to transfer some assets, and them I am "outta here" -- If I don't see some of you before I cancel,I wish you all the very best, and hope we meet again in a game that doesn't delete your assets that took months to acquire.

Best Regards,

Cresto

Cresto - best of luck to ya, man.

That's the sort of stuff in this game that is just NOT RIGHT.

Devs, you needa BUG TASK FORCE TEAM- and it needs to start fixing stuff NOW. People are pretty upset and leaving quite a bit due to bugs like Cresto dealt with - especially when rude and ignorant CSR's are of no help.

It's not lack of content - it's NEVER-ENDING BUGS AND GLITCHES THAT WASTE A TON OF YOUR GAMEPLAY TIME.

Yeesh, stop making new stuff chock full of bugs that you'll never fix and just focus on FIXING THE STUPID GAME.
