I don't think all criticism is removed.

I have a very critical post in the dev forum on page 8 of the Jedi Archives Vol. III. It isn't a personal attack or anything, and it doesn't criticize the team in broad generalities but rather in specifics.

It's still there and hasn't been removed. I was actually thinking as I was writing it that it wouldn't last very long. But it is still there.

I think this team is a group that can take criticism. But they have made a very fun Beta, don't you agree. And I for one think it's enough fun that I will pay to be in their Beta Club. (I'm talking about the live game....)

Welcome to another edition of the Team Comments, this week we bring you a letter from Cinco Barnes, the lead designer on Jump to Lightspeed.

"First" goes to the person who names the person who replaced Cinco as lead designer on live.

Enjoy.

The "first" thing goes back to the pre-lanch forums where people would spam to get the first post on a Dev thread. To aliveate spaming Q-3PO asked a question to really say who got first, not by spamming.

So, he is the guy to blame for weak quest-content!

I would say, the quests are a little bit uninteresting. You should design more content like the Hero of Tatooine or better, like the Twilek slave thing. But design it so, that we know, what we should do! (i think, still nobody knows, what we should do by the Twilek slave)

NPCs should not only stand stupid around and talk in a blue box, but walk around, interact and talk to you.
(I believe, nobody reads the stories by taking a destroy mission, because it is irrelevant.)

More epic quests with riddles and puzzles (but not trivias, like the librarian pls! I hate the expanded universe).

More profession crossovers (i mean, a quest, where a combatant has to kill somebody, get a loot andlook for a crafter to make something from this loot, he then has to bring it to somebody. Something like that...)

In general, every quest (also the Alderaan acts) are/were a little bit simple and not really fun.

Mission terminals are stupid. At least for crafter. I am a crafter, but never use the mission terminals, because it is just not fun.
"Go there, get a shematic, craft it, bring it to somebody, get a little money"
Boooooring!

When is Andy Sommers going to do his letter to the community? I'm highly interested in how he became part of SWG and what his past is like. I myself am an aspiring programmer and my ultimate dream would be to work for LucasArts on any Star Wars title.

Mr Sommers, I envy you. Can you adopt me?

ROFLMAO

He said this

"Even better: the time I wasted an enemy commander after tracking him down in deep space..."

I can see it now, obtain quest - "There is an enemy commander in deep space that was supposed to marry my daughter, I want him brought down"

Waypoint received

Travel to location, ship sitting there

Blast down the Ship

Waypoint received "Return to mission start"

- "Thankyou, here is a stained headdress my daughter was supposed to be wearing, we don't need it no more."

Not trying to be mean, If this guy fixed some of his mistakes with good quests like The Warren etc, then I hope he kept that focus. Its just that scary line he said:

"Even better: the time I wasted an enemy commander after tracking him down in deep space..."

Its just all to familiar....
