Thread: Cries of Alderaan Status
i have done all 3 acts, i curently have Deadeye stims. i actually liked the quest and storyline of this soo much, and you dont have to do act 1 or 2 to do 3. you also dont have to solo this, i didnt. i have soloed the warehouse several times (to get more Flora for the deadeye stim). but the final battle i had a few friends help me. if you are non-combat, you can bring your combat friends along to have some fun. this is part of the interdependancy thats good in this game. if you are a crafter, bring along those people that get the fruits of your labors. if you sell those on the open market instead of in a guild setting, get your help the same way. hire some mercs to help out, although i have NEVER turned down an opportunity go help defend the Rebs against the waves of STs.
for those interested in deadeye, it says it increases acuracy for an extended time. its experimentable in duration, power and charges. i recomend charges from what i saw. a friend with medicine crafting made them from my supplies. they varied, but were aprox 11-14 mins +36-42 acuracy 1-3 charges.

Will the Rebels create the modified Dead Eye serum that doesn't rely on the finite resource? Will the Empire eradicate Dead Eye from the galaxy? That's up to you...
So ... if the Imperials win, then Dead Eye will be removed from the game and no one will benefit from its existence (in the future)? But if Rebels win, then it will become a permanentschematic that everyone can benefit from (through Rebel sources of course)?
It would seem to me that it is in everybody's best interests to let the Rebels win this round.

no this is a civil war, and from my understanding the schematic is bought with faction points(500). by letting us win, us Rebs will have access to an accuracy item (expensive too make though) that Imperials WONT have access to. or if imps can get it, it will be at an outrageous price. im sure most imps wont sell out the fight for a chance at this trickling out to them, and i hope most will put up the good fight they would want from us Rebs if the tides were turned. LONG LIVE the GCW! LONG LIVE the REBELLION!!

Q-3PO wrote:wanted to let you know that The Cries of Alderaan Act 3 will continue at least until Publish 7: Droid Invasion, but may be extended to an additional publish beyond that to give everyone a chance to be part of it. Originally we intended for The Cries of Alderaan to be a "monthly" story. Last year, other design priorities took precedence (player cities, mounts, vehicles, profession issues, etc.) and in reality it turned out to be about every two months per act.In an upcoming Friday Feature, I will give you the current stats on factions as well as who is currently "winning" act 3 (based on number of people getting the final badge for each side compared to the number of people in that faction. That means one faction won't win just because there are more people in that faction; they have to have a higher ratio of completion.) Will the Rebels create the modified Dead Eye serum that doesn't rely on the finite resource? Will the Empire eradicate Dead Eye from the galaxy? That's up to you...I've also updated the Story FAQ page to answer a common question:After The Cries of Alderaan will there be more Story Arcs?
Potentially, however we've changed our publish structure. Going forward, we will have a theme for each major publish, such as The Imperial Crackdown and Droid Invasion. There will be story missions and live events to accompany these themes. Additionally, we intend to open a new "dungeon" between major publishes (mini-publishes). In the future, we may add more three act story arcs.Enjoy the Imperial Crackdown!
Q-3PO wrote:Yep, the other priorities have caused the story arcs to lag. Cries of Alderaan was started in August. It consists of a Prologue, three acts and an epilogue. We are averaging every other month instead of every month. Now that the big three are out of the way (Vehicles, Mounts and Cities), I think we can finally get back on a monthly schedule.
I'll apologize for this and understand your skepticism. You can ask the producers and lead designer - I've been ruthless about getting them to get the monthly back to monthly. I think I finally have their ear.
Now I can understand, why you could understand my skepticism.
I COMPLETELY AGREE. I relish the oppurtunity to do these missions. It keeps me involved in the story line and I can say there is alot of anticipation every time one of these is released.

Hint: Cries of Alderaan, despite it's warts, is one of the big bright spots of the game. There absolutely need to be more storyline events, not necessarily Rebel/Imperial, but maybe Jabba/Black Sun or what have you.
*Keep* the Arcs. No matter what the cost.

Exactly this game needs more group incentives beyond just raids. I know in-order to complete part III of act 3, I had to call in the support of my guildmates. We had a great time helping each other finish these missions.
Q-3PO wrote:Avallach, the major publishes should accomplish this for the most part. I agree that AC had some memorable monthly stories.vonbloodworth, the schematic is only available from Rebel Recruiters as a faction perk (though some Imperials have had spies grab them). You'll have to test it yourself to see how effective it is.By the way, good for you in rallying your fellow Imperials.
Treguard, thanks!
Any chance you could also update us with new jedi information?
