I guess the customization is ok, but wouldn't be more interesting if you could put your own decals on it?
Decals are very hard to do, though it is something we want to add in the future.
I'd like to see the VC tool change such that when activated, we can see both color panels and can modify both the frame and the trim at the same time. It's awkward to have to color one, then relaunch the tool to color the other. For color coordination purposes, seeing both palettes at once would be convenient.

Do you mean custom decals? Or players being able to choose from a big pre-set list? I imagine custom is out of the question, but wouldn't a preset list be relatively doable? Kinda the same thing as color no, just shape.
Thanks for responding Thunderheart! MOOtastic!

Can anyone also verify yea or nay that currently the paint job doesn't stay if you shuttle or store?
I'd just like to know before I waste credits on one...NOT trying to spread a potential rumor.

Do all the newly generated from deed vehicles have 1500 hp? Is this a bug or intended?

My speeder was made before the patch, and the colors have stayed through various trips to Corellia from Naboo and back.
I sold fifty (yes fifty) kits today at 5k apiece. Only one person reported back a problem, he couldn't color his bike, but when he gave the kit I sold him to someone else, they could.
A tip, people, if you ask a droid engineer to make you droid storage components or a schematic for one, he knows what you're going to do with them.
