In a merchant tent in a player city I have to wait 30 seconds for my droid/pet to be pulled out. This seems somewhat silly since I am literally less than 3 feet away from being outside and able to pull my pets/droids instantly. It just seems a little silly to make the 30 second rule apply to merchant tents, or at least merchant tents placed in city limits.

This was probably done b/c there was an xploit in the past with vendors/bazaar terminals where you can do some tricks as you mount/dismount to get free items and dupe credits....i believe it was in the hotfix patch notes a while back. i also believe this is why they have always been hesitant to allow us to pull our bikes/mounts anywhere....therefore we have the 30 sec delay

So why 90 seconds? Its 60 seconds after combat ends.. ok.. then another 30 seconds for it to show up.. thats 1.5 minutes.

WHY?

Combat is over.. So what happens.. is you wait 60 seconds for combat to end? 60 more seconds to call.. 30 more seconds for it to show..? And we mean the combat timer right not the TEF flag?

So why Am I siting around for2.5 minutes?

The camp / no-camp delay stuff works.. but its really not needed in todays game.

This is my final day with SWG so i thought i would spend it testing the new stuff for those that are staying. This pach for me.. does nothing to make me want to stay.

Just adds MORE downtime of which this gam eis already filled to the brim with.. and i was under the impression SWG was against downtime.

Been there... Done that..

AGREED!

Why do we have to wait so long? That is just stupid. If it's the pet thing, that doesn't make any sense, either. A CH's weapons is his pets. Does a rifleman have a 30-second delay with no combat to break out the T-21?

So far, I have not heard a good reason WHY the delay is this long? The one dev who came into the post thanked someone for testing it at the current delays. Great, so it "works as intended". So, please tell us WHY it's intended to work this way.

AND, if it's at all possible, please consider reducing the time. I already spend too much time doing nothing in this game, and it's really starting to irritate me. (EXAMPLE - I tried to travel from my player city on Talus to a player city on Lok the other day, it took me 22 minutes! 5 minutes to wait for the shuttle from my city to the Star Port at Dearic, I ran and got to the ticket terminal and ran back in time to catch the shuttle to Tyrena, only to see the shuttle in Tyrena take off without me in spite of my burst run to the terminal. That's another 9 minutes and 58 seconds to wait for a shuttle from Tyrena to Theed, and then from there to Nym's Outpost. Although the shuttle from Theed is instantaneous, I had to wait 6 minutes for the shuttle to the player city.) Why on earth would I want to hang around for 90 seconds after fighting something in the wilderness while I try to generate a vehicle? Why are you making me do so?

It would be one thing if I could dismount and my vehicle would stay there, but it POOFS. That's right, it just disappears. So, I have no choice but to ride out to my objective, dismount and fight, and THEN hang around for a minute and a half just standing there to regenerate a vehicle. Ridiculous...

Listen, Mr. Repetitive, you can't build a camp everywhere. There's a lot of "too close to a lair", "not in a municipal zone", "too close to a building", etc. etc. etc.

If you're in a municipal zone, you dont have to use a camp.

Look, I have gone through countless crates of camps in the last 6 months or so, I know about the limitations. I have also never had to run more than 100m from anywhere in order to place a camp...except maybe near Coronet...or in the water.

Not quite correct. If you are in a city you do not need a camp, but the municipal zone extends farther than the city limits. There are many times my bike has poofed on me and I could not call it back out and could not lay down a camp because I was still in a municipal zone. There is also the problem of you bike poofing when you go into a house to use a vendor and your bike poofs. Not all these houses are in cities, they are placed out in the country with numerous other vendors and you cannot pull out yor vehicle because you are not in a city and cannot place a camp because you are too close to a building.

I love the idea of being able to pull out your vehicle without setting up a camp, but I also feel the delay is too long. As someone else posted, we have too much down time as it is waiting for shuttles etc.

A good example of this is on Dath, the outposts. I had to run nearly 1K out to set up a camp, or 1K back to get in city limits. I understand they don't want a Dantooine type mess with a whole city surrounding the outpost..but man, this is rediculous. Also...Vehicles still autostore. Pets autostore. Droids autostore..and it's WORSE since the last publish... I have never EVER had a vehicle autostore since they came out..Until last publish. It has autostored an average of 4 times a day since then. Vehicles should be callable instantly, or fix the auttostore issues. same with pets. What happens if you're in fort tusken? Charge into battle...and poof. Your graul runs STRAIGHT up into the air, and then vanishes from sight (I'm not making this up man, he's done it to me twice now. I know he's a bit dumb...but apparently he don't even know how Gravity works anymore, hehe). Anyhow...I've died PLENTY of times due to this bug, I've bugged, reported, and sent in tickets, no replies, no answers, and now I get to wait 90 seconds after it happens. Until you fix autostore, should be able toc all anything at any time.

All these people screaming 'boohoo, you're not Uber anymore' go...eh. can't think of anything I can write here without being banned. But lemme tell you this. I LIKED the CH revamp. Loved it in fact. No more novice CH with one tree pulling out Rancors in combat. No more BH learning a bit of CH, and then being ten times more powerful thanks to the combat skills that I didn't have. Only a master CH could have the biggest and baddest pets, which makes sense. But lemme ask you this. How would you like running into a fight..and watching your suit of armor run away down the hall, leaving you in your boxers? How'd you like jumping some stormtroopers in the wilderness, and then your rifle vanishes out of your hands? Not very fun is it? Now, how'd you like the devs saying 'Ok. We'll fix it. but now, you have to wait 90 seconds to put your armor back on. IF you survive the fight'

Make sense yet? THAT is why the CH are so peeved over this. If pets didn't store, then this would be great. If pets didn't defy gravity and float into space (I guess he thought I meant that Star Destroyer when I told him to attack...) this would be great. But until OUR weapons work right, stop shaftin us already! Geez.

No I don't have a freakin sig. Just make something up and pretend it's here man. woman. umm...Whatever.

So....What are camps good for now?

Answer this...

If camps were eliminated from the game tomorrow I would miss them because I NEEDED them so I could...

...all a pet or vehicle instantly and heal a little faster.

Sure, the healing factor isnt that much, but there are a lot of people that are buffed into their composite that I'm sure will still want to use camps if their buffs run out.

Pets, droids, mounts and vehicles work just like before inside camps, cities or near player residence. The only difference is when you attempt to call a pet, droid, mountor vehicle outside of those areas. Whereas before you couldn't call them at all, now, there will be a time delay to call them to allow you to call those items wherever you wish without the previous stipulations. It's still advantageous to have a Scout with you if you want to call your pets, droids, vehicles or mounts out quicker.

Please remove the mention of the combat timer from the patch notes. It's not new and it's not worth mentioning except to confuse people who didn't already understand the restrictions that existed before this patch.
