Sounds great TH. Yes to both. The village and journal are good.

Onequick point though that I hope you'll keep in mind as the publish is being created...

The overwhelming community opinion is that we get to choose our Jedi slot after completing the Force Sensitivity Quests. Either our main or 2nd slot without having to redo the quests again after unlocking. Please do not ignore or overlook this very important point of interest. It could be as simple as an interface box which allows us to click either "Main Character" or Alternate Character" that appears once we have the required number of force sensitivity skills.

Thanks.

This sounds like a very good idea. An instanced solution would be fantastic. I could imagine how hard it would be if it were not...worse than coronet on vehicle launch day. If I understand correctly, when you complete the quests of the village, you unlock all of your force sensitivities, and can at that point choose to start the path to Jedi. Is it at that point that you unlock a second character? Is that still on the adgenda? I have been trying to keep up with the development of FS and Jedi, but I am no longer sure.

Thanks!

Greets ...

I like the question journal.

I don't like "Mysterious". I don't mind "different for every player" ... but not "knowing" what to do, or what direction, or whether you are doing what you are supposed to do is NOT FUN.

The path has to be clear enough, through journal entries, that the players don't *wonder* if they are doing what they should or not.

ie: "Your quest is to find 3 green rodians with the name frank on dantooine"

vs

"Your quest is to visit random npc's on random planets and if you visit the right ones you will have completed your quest".

The first one is fine ... the second, or a vaguer goal is not.

Question. Assuming the "mysterious stranger" announces your achieving FS and grants your invite to the village, what role does current holo profession masteries play? Does having done x number of holo professions mean you are y% towards the arrival of the stranger?

And please make the appearance of the mysterious stranger extremely apparent (perhaps backed up with e-mail notifications), so that he is not missed by a player who is fighting their way through say the lag hole that is coronet.

I'm not sure I'm going to keep playing, since your not going to fix the game, but I think the way to go is to use some of those resources from before launch and do an Instanced Planet that a "Mysterious" Stranger has to give you a Travel Pass to use the Starports to get back and forth, and Post JTL Maybe The Coordinates.

Maybe Yago's Minor or something along those lines, or could could go full blown and do a planet primarily designed to help spread out the population. Kinda Like The Suburbs version of Corusant, a big farm community (Yago Minor)

Easy. You build a player city next to it with a BH terminal.

If they put Jedi TEF back in, imagine the BH drooling around and inthe village. Heh

Oki-Kama wrote:

Cool, a place where I can set up camp outside the village and gank jedi.

Could we put a BH terminal in the village?

Image it without the TEF, wait that be kinda like it is now... completly out of control

I like this idea. Definitely a better alternative to holo grinding. At least we know there's real purpose behind what we are doingalong with includinga stories and NPC's to interact with. This definitely seems more natural to the alternative grind. Someone was definitely using that gray stuff.

Yes

Thunderheart, I appreciate the fact that SOE is getting rid of the god awful hologrinding, don't you think it's time to address some of the issues in your "Great Expectations" thread? You seemed to have stopped caring since about page 15. While there is some flaming, there are some really valid points that I think you should look at.Print out all the pages, three hole punchall of them and put them into a big binder. Let thesuits know what we think, for once. Tell them the way to make money is to keep the current players we have, not draw new ones...not yet, anyway. JTL will do that.

No offense to the people that posted here that plan on running these quests. You guys want to play your Jedi, and under different circumstances, I would of wanted to play one too. And while I do think the idea, at least of the quest journal, is a great idea, the Dev's have much more pressing issues to think about. 25%+ of the current playerbase is leaving, and Thunderheart posting this the day after he posted his last thread, just goes to show that the majority is being ignored, yet again.

Have fun with with your Jedi everyone. Just do the community a big favor, and show some class that some of the current Jedi lack.

I whole heartedly agree with you and I do think that is best for the game, but since when have they really listened to us on the important stuff, The main thing to do now is make sure they get this part right so it doesn't take priority agian for years, we can only make the best of what we have, so maybe you could think of something constructive to say along their thought patterns, seeing as so far they haven't done a very good job...

Merriam-Webster Dictionary:

Main Entry: vis·cous

Etymology: Middle English viscouse, from Late Latin viscosus full of birdlime, viscous, from Latin viscum mistletoe, birdlime; akin to Old High German wIhsila cherry, Greek ixos mistletoe

Hmmm... so the agents of the Empire were filled with mistletoe? Isn't mistletoe generally used at Christmas, which is a very happy holiday. So the agents of the Empire were jolly people. Don't sound to scary to me....

I'm sorry, I saw the mispelling and had to.
