Beery wrote:"Thats why i would like the ingame poll system cause the people who have a clue about this game are ingame and playing the game and not psoting on the boards "Rubbish! Most of the people whoplay the game rather than post on these forumshaven't got the sense to figure out that anything is wrong with the game. They also haven't the critical sensibilities that would allow them to care about improving the game. Not only do theyNOT have a clue, butthey don't care enough about the gameto get out of the game and check out these forums. If you think an in-game poll will turn these apathetic players into useful feedback-givers, you have another think coming.Message Edited by Beery on 07-29-2004 08:21 AM
I'll keep that in mind as I "cluelessly" wonder through the game in a idiotic stupor. I mean really why should I play a game I'm apparently to stupid to play? Oh that's right I don't have a supiority complex so I can get enjoyment out of most things that I had nothing to do with the creation process.
You know sometimes people just enjoy a thing a don't need it to be made "better." In their opinion it's fine the way it is, just like it's your OPINION that they're idiots.

This is a great concept for an alternative to "grinding" to achieve a master profession.
Crysalide stated:
My enjoyment in being a crafter lies in building a business, seeing my customer base grow, my sales increase, etc. For example, my quest could be to build/sell the AV-21 landspeeder. To satisfy my quest, I must get the schematic, get the powerplant, and then successfully market that I have one for sale. This type of quest already exists, although it isn't a pure "crafting" quest as it requires you or someone else to participate in combat to get the necessary schematics and componnets.
I see any quest which results in a unique item such as a crafting schematic or a special component used in a temporary schematic is a "crafting quest". More quests of this nature would be ideal. You don't need to make more "crafting" quests of the type that would be obtained from the Crafting mission terminal. However, it would be nice if you didn't have to be a combat specialist to get all of the "loot drops" that are required for the advanced "temporary crafting schematics". Perhaps as a reward for "master" crafting quests, one could be rewarded with components like AV-21 power plants, crates of rare materials like crystaline clothing treatment, etc.
Crysalide stated:
I understand that this is not what many people had in mind for the crafting quests. That being said, and as some others have previously suggested, I think that having true "quests" for crafters is a fantastic idea (something sufficiently challenging and interesting, with an appropriately appealing reward). It is something that we have talked about, and it is something that I would love to be included with future content.

Erm... apparently you fail to realise that you do in fact post on these forums, meaning that you don't necessarilyqualify for my "stupid and apathetic player" category.

Anyone who has anyclue about the way this game works can figure out that it's not 'fine the way it is'. When, for example, a pistoleer's best attack is not even in the pistoleer tree; when the politician profession is so poorly thought-out that many cities are stuck in limbobecause of politicians quitting the game or simply dropping their politician skills; when musicians cannot make money because the developers haven't bothered to stop an exploit that's caused problems since the game went live; when stupid developer decisions have elevated griefers, show-offsand whiny leets to Jedi status; when it's 13 months after launch and major bugs, exploits and broken professions still haveno fixes;then it's not a matter of opinion that the game needs work. It's a fact.
You can ignore the facts if you want to. I prefer to confront the facts and talk about them. That's the difference between a committed player who isn't afraid toface factsand a player who is too afraid to face the truth, or whodoesn't care enough for the game to want it to improve.

The adhesives for the loot kits are not dropping. If I had the adhesives I've could have built all the items already but adhesives are still a no show.

Right and the fact that I chose to persue a path in Bounty Hunter as well as Creature Handler means I know nothing of being nerfed nor have severe problems with brocken aspects of the game nor being commited to said game. I've watched friends stop playing because of the issues they had with the game my entire guild almost crumbled to dust in one night and yet I still play.
I know several people who play every night for 6 or more hours at a time and do not read the forums yet by your definition they are not commited to the game. I myself went a few months without knowing the forums existed but played everyday so was I not commited till I found and began to read them. Up till yesterday I hadn't been to the forums in some time so was I uncommited for that?
And as to your profession problem example al the professions you listed are not starting level are they. So it may take a average player a little time to realize that there are in fact flaws in the system. Yes some of the bugs have been around since launch but the devs know about them constintly prodding them doesn't help it in fact distracts them from doing their job to fix those problems. I'm not saying all their descisions were wise or correct but at least they are trying. The game may not be perfect but I for one still enjoy playing it.

The Mos Espa (sp) Swoop Track is FUN!
I like the fact that you have to dodge people shooting at you while you race and that you can tune your race (as in take any course you want between wp's).
I also like the fact that there is a music cue at each wp, this add a lot of excitment to the course.
Somethings I'd ask to be considered:
a. It appears that any class vehicle can run the course but badges are only one a day for the course. This means that an AV-21 has a bit of an advantage over a landspeeder (i.e. without an AV-21 you can't win the days they race).
Suggestion- Allow the courses to hand out badges by class of vehicle; if that isn't possible then restrict swoop race courses to one class of vehicle.
b. Add the course start WP to the POI index on the map.
c. Like I said the music at the WP's is kewl, but its being over ridden by the combat music. Would it be possible for the WP music not to be over ridden by the combat music? I hear the combat music a lot and really appreciate that different music was added for some of the courses WP's.
Thanks for adding this course!

The emote has nothing to with this. If you stop moving BEFORE mounting, and come to a complete stop before dismounting your vehicle will never warp. Try it out. Since I discoveredand began practicing this(months ago) my vehicle has never warped.

Hate to break it to you...But its not the vehicle thats warping....And I can't figure out why people don't get this...

Take whoever designed the crafting quests outside and beat some sense into them - I cannot believe this passed design muster.
First, why the HELL would I want to craft anything like 5 HAR's or 10 Beam Rifles (broken certfication since beta 3) in return for a measly 175 credits!? Want to reward me? Make the reward a nifty badge, wearable, loot item, decoration or SOMETHING. Credits!? 175 Credits!? Just how out of touch with the game reality are you guys?
Second - motive - WHY do I want to do these quests? At least with the Bestine Elections there was a promise of some nifty wearables or furniture.
Wookie armor - finally, now maybe wookies will go away and allow SOE to focus on some other shortcomings, it only took you what, a year?
Old Mos Espa Arena - fun. Swoop tracks are the single mostfun thing in this game since the GCW Events. Everything not a fix in between has been tripe. Tripe.

I have found amajor problem witht he woki armor .its still a factor that the armor smiths think its a burden to go find all the stuff need to make it and theink crafting it is a head ache so instead of dealing with it there just not makeing any of it -so this time the devs arent screwing the wookis its the players them selves thanx all armor smiths for the shot in the back

I am outraged by the stealth nerf to loot. This is something that was uncalled for. You bump up Npc's to make em hard again, right after you drop their loot rates dramaticly. What is the point of hunting these mobs now? Harder mobs is fine, just put the loot back in to make em worth our time.
I also have encountered a rather serious bugg. It has happened to me twice on Shadowfire and to my sister twice on Scylla. I took my moun gold, only to have the downer hit me 2 minutes later, not 10...2 minutes. On both ocassions the premature downer caused me to die as I only use moun as a last resort. Moun gold has been and continues to be one of the more used items in the game, I think this really needs to be looked at.

QUIT BABYING THE JEDI'S AND KEEP THE GAME FUN FOR THOSE OF US WHO LIKE TO SOLO.
ONE HIT KILL FROM A NIGHTSISTER WITH FULL ARMOR
WHEN i USE TO BE ABLE TO SOLO 20....BE REASONABLE
THE DEATHWATCH WAS HARD ENOUGH WITH 2 FULL GROUPS AND YOU **edit** IT UP EVEN MORE SO ITS TOTALLY NOT POSSIBLE.
