mmm guess what? After seeing all those posts about having to drop your template and grind millions of XP to get your second slot and your Jedi, i decided not to go for Jedi after all. I didnt want to grind during the holo period, why should i do it now, having to do 20 times more boring repetitive grinding?
i understand that this is the only solution SOE has found to keep jedi population down, but there are better ways, like perma death. Anywhoo, im back to pilling up cash for my future TIE interceptor, and perhaps old man will visit me some day, and ill tell him to piss off.

not complaining either ..... everyone should just shut uo about the new patch ... goodness haven't you guys complained enough ?

and a bunch of others i don't play
If people don't complain about a bad system, nothing will change. SOE promised that while they journey to Jedi would be long and hard, it would be something different from the long, boring and inferior method of hologrinding.
They LIED. It is NOT. It is grinding plus an artificial wait. SOE said they wouldn't artificially cap Jedi. Making people wait an 18 week minimum (those are just people who take the first skill box offered to them) is most definitley an artificial cap in all but name.

Plain and simple the new system is not what people want. Was waiting for JTLS but man with this kinda track record u think JTLS is going to be great content too ? Maybe for about 3 months until u are tired of pvping in space and the so called 100 missions I have heard that is in it and different graphics . This new publish is another form of holo grinding with hardly any thought to it at all.And serious I felt the holo crazy is what stopped pvp and GCW. Why pvp when u could get some xp for a new profession to have a chance to unlock? . And now its just another form of mindless grinding with no content.
1= wait for an old man
2= wait for sith
3= boring missions for NPCs in the village ( like all the theme parks )
4= grind xp to lvl boxes before even getting to jedi initiate ( like saber grinding isnt bad as it is ) once actually in a jedi form of level
5= this most disappointing part of it all ( grind with no real content to it, like holo-grinding) , just ina new form in my opinion) , Oh and gated as well, why start now ?
Seems to me that people want jedi. I am not saying make it easy but we are the people paying for the accounts that run this game. Make it fun

This is a terrible way to give credit. Who puts in more effort? A person who gorund 3 holo professions or a person who ground 3 regular professions? The asnwer, IT IS THE SAME. give credit based on the total number of professions mastered. That is the true measure of effort. I don't care how long u have been in the game. People ground out professions because they knew that was the sacrifice required for Jedi. I have no problem with that. Follows the no pain no gain theory. However, since SWG kindly decided to not figure out how credit would be given until like the day before publish 10 came out, that screwed everyone over who worked hard to master as many professions as possible based on the current rules of the game. Then u tell us that it is holos only. So in theory, a person who only ground 4 holos and 1 other professions put in more effort than me who ground 8 and had no holo casue they were silent. How is that fair. Here is my proposed and absolutely andunequivacobly (not sure if thatis a word, but what the hell) fairway to give creditSince u need 6 FS branches, we will use thatas the divisor.. Now since 6 does not divide nicely into 32, we will use 30 are the numerator Take 30 and divide by 6. That gives you a nice round number of 5.Easy enough to work with. Now, for every 5 profs umastered, u shouldfull credit for 1 block of the FS quest. For the next professionmastered, give credit of being able to do the next village quest at the same time. Then 1 block of FS credit for each subsequent profession. If a personmastered 10 professions, give credit for 2 full blocks. Following this rationale, everyone would get a proportional amount of credit based on the only thing we as players can know for sure, how many professions we mastered. Give everyone that did 30 or unlocked pre 10 their full 6 boxes. I have no problem with that. They earned it. I personally busted my butt to master 8 professions since I learned of how to become a jedi and such about a month ago.And I got no credit becasue holocrons were silent and I couldn;t even do my three known holocrons. This is fair to all players across all time periods in my opinion as their are no hidden values in this equation like in yours. Please consider this a option. I am still unsure if you actually read theses posts. This is my first one. I think this is as reaosnably fair as it can get and I welcome any player or developer feedback on this idea. I think a lot of people will agree with me that this is better.

WOW What a great idea !!!!!! 5stars Tzaze !
Hey devs i give you $14.99 a month now the way you have the village set from what i hear is that the quests reset every 3 weeks that is a month almost so i am gonna pay you guys $90 24 weeks if i get lucky and have the 2 other branch unlock come up back to back or will i most likely pay out another 1.5 months past that $90 TO GET THE CONTENT IN A GAME I PAY TO PLAY ??? how about the village resetting every day to unlock a branch, after all we would still need to grind out all that xp anyway whats it matter if we have the skills we want unlocked? if it reset the quests every day we could unlock what wewant to train in and be able to get the content in the village in one month . Still need HUGE amounts of xp to convert but hey that is the long road part !

Some other food for thought about the jedi grind xp conversion. We now have to go out and get xp combat wise what is their to really kill anymore.... I know the drop rates on everything good (Exceptional Weapons, SEA's, etc) has been nerfed or removed H3ll the rori bat cave bottom 2 boxes the good ones dont drop, spent 4 days at server reset never saw Mrodar at his POI. So now we have to go out and get xp with only the knowledge that the xp we get is what we look forward to. Anyone ever picked up a copy of SWG Strategy guide? Take a look at the xp that was given to them by SOE on the different creatures .... for those of you who do not have one here are some examples the highest xp per planet per MOB kill
Global (not bound to a particular planet ) Dark Jedi Master 192,335
Corellia - Thale Dustrunner 32,112
Dantooine - Dark Force Crystal Hunter 32,112
Dathomir - Nightsister Elder 192,335
Endor - Gorax 224,144
Lok - Enraged Dune Kimogila 43,972
Naboo - many npc's giving 32,112
Rori - Mountain Torton 3,687
Talus - Aakuan warder 3453
Tatooine - Giant Canyon Krayt Dragon 224,144

I have to agree, i do remember them saying o this is gannna be much harder then grinding out proffesions, well know i personaly think proffessions were ganna be a lot better. I say they got back to them LOL, but seriously know this xp conversion is crazyness. I thought about doing it and then its like why bother. There are many other games out there that people can enjoy, and if you are going to grind this terrible grind, and also go to padawan......i say good luck and dont let your life slip to much cause thats ganna be harsh. All i can say is maybe JTLS will put back the star wars into it.....just wish things coulda went totally different, say placed in a different time period allowed to have to characteres, and jedi was a starting proffesion..
just my opinion

Ok, so for those of us too stupid to actually be able to find it, where is the actual list of badges and theme parks or whatever you need to actually be glowing, because i cant find anything except what you have here, about proffesions, which in my munderstanding is the old system, can anyone please help. I would like to know just what I have to do to become glowing.

OK.
1st or 2nd Holos alone gets you absolutely NOTHING. The 3rd Holo, the 4th, and each additional hidden profession there after up to the full 8 gives one branch each. Personally I find this rediculus. They have completely jacked the casual gamer from getting any rewards for their work. I may self was only able to complete 2 professions hinted at by holocrons and 3 additional professions for a total of 5. Since I was unluckly and none of my 3 additional professions were hidden secrets, I got adsolutly nothing.
