Well...I don't know. I think some of the things I'm seeing are a little too uber, weapons specifically. Wouldn't mind seeing this "nerf" in action before you all take a step back.

I want to thank the developers for backing the new craft experimentation system out. It seems from all I could gather about the new system, is that it made many goods just a single line aspect. Why even bother with experimentation when there is no dynamic to the system. In many cases the idea is there, but the implimentation is not. If each line of experimentation actually had huge benefits, then people would be happy to split their points up and make diverse items, but that really is not the case with the current system. Perhaps you Devs are on the right track, but a lot more work needs to be done on the crafting system overall to make it worthwhile than a few hasty changes.

A couple of weeks ago,we called a meeting because there was concern about the way this change would be seen by a majority of our players.

A majority of your players participate in these forums? That's got to be a first...

Somehow I think "a vocal minority" would be more accurate.

Who knows what "Game Balance" means? The Devs, who are (allegedly) trained professionals, or the Players, who are typically out for whatever gives them the best bonuses?

The Developers continually second-guessing themselves by what goes on in these forums will spell the end of SWG.

If it was "a vocal minority" that swayed the decision, then I think any anger or disappointment you might harbor be directed at the supposed 'silent majority' who failed to address the issue. These boards aren't exactly hidden or shrouded in mystery. If this vast majority of players that were in favor of the change actually exist, then they apparently waved their opportunity to get their points across. The Devs post here to communicate with the players. If a player doesn't choose to read the boards or post an opinion then they really have no one to blame but themselves for missing out on a valuable tool granted to the community.

Thanks guys for the ear. Please print a copy of every response to this thread and have them backed up on every form of media possible so the next time you get the, "Youneverlistentouswhydon'tyoueverlistentousallyoudoisnerfnerfnerf!" bit from the community you can point here and say "ah ah ah."

I do want to see 'some' of the crafting changes, like more of a difference resource quality can make, but I think this patch was too much at once. I am glad the devs decided to pull this for the time being. Thank you.

Thanks for listening to your players - most of whom were vocal, longtime crafters I have to admit.

Now, that being said, I eagerly look forward to participating in the fix that needs to come to crafting - whatever form that takes. Needless to say I suggest the following, especially since crafting is so integral to SWG.

1) Clear, cogent communication on what the change is

2) An opportunity to test before & after on TC - have resource terminals that churn out resources to test with for at least a week prior to 'fix' then a week after 'fix' - freeze the resources for as long as it takes to test this change.

It's not that we don't want change, we want GOOD change.

Well this is really good news. I am very excited that I will get to try this out for at least 24 hours with all my current resources. I would suggest that instaed of just "takining it out" as you have said, maybe you would like to hold a vote or survey on it, after we all get a good chance to Test and play around. who knows maybe once we get a real test on the changes people will then be more in favor of them.

Thank you for sifting out the Flamers and listening to us serious players. It's greatly appreciated and even much more satisfying of a game when you actually see that, We,the community is being included in major game changes such as this.

I also want to say thanks, I was about to spend the next few hours till server down crafting schematics till the cows came home, but now I see that i don't have to, and can get back to enjoying my game.

Can't wait to mount a Bantha. /cheer !!!
