Personally I am sick of all the complaints and all the whining that is going on here. People are never EVER satisfied with anything no matter what is done. BEFORE you post a complaint here READ the FORUMS for the answers, Devs have told you many many times how you will get a visit , they did not tell you to sit on your ass and wait somehwere, CAN'T you just play the game as you usually do ? you will get a visit while playing. For all the people that keep threatening to cancel their account go ahead and cancel, STOP trying to dictate the game becauseyou are not getting what you want. Finally, Its not easy to make a game of this magnitude so instead ofwhining maybe the devs deserve an applaud on all the hard work they are doing.

Could you have a little sympathy please...
This was not announced prior to the patch, so I took the day off work. I thought that the server population would be light with all the teen superstars at school, and that I could get in and out Village quickly.
I have Statistics classtonight, and work again tomorrow... so I really need to get this started soon. Not like I'm losing money sitting here... or anything.
Thanks for keeping us informed.

Well SOE this time you have gone too far.
So far i NEVER thought of canceling my account but if i dont get a visit from the old man by the end of this week im another goner (WoW for teh win!).
This really sucks i cant describe how much i am pissed. I did my fair share of hologrinding, and all i wanted was being at the village as soon as publish 10 has hit live. Now im logged on, glowing with the force, maxed in all my current xp and waiting for a stupid old man to visit me? what kinda bull**edit** is that?
Why in all hell are you forcing us to just sit there and wait and do nothing? i was bored to death after i finished my xp-grinding template and am right now cause i have nothing to do but kill the acklay the 100th time or do the corvette over and over or just hunt my 1000th elder in the hope that this time i might loot something decent? not with me, if you halt me on the way to jedi, IM OUT!

So...
To start off, I guess I'd like to say that I, too, have started this game since day 1 of going live. That is to say... day 2 since day 1 the character client kept crashing. So by all means I guess I have just as much right to complain as anyone. I've always dreamt of becoming a Jedi with my character. I been there since it was revealed that professions were the way to unlocking the preciousssss. Oh our preciousssss forcessss ssslot. Oh the horibble devs's who mades uz find stinky holocrons.
Err um... I mean... I didn't have a million credits to buy my holocrons... I couldn't fathom that much money. I couldn't defeat a potential holocron user on my best of days. So when I was given the gift of the holidays, well I was quite happy indeed. In fact I used those holocrons in my greedy attempt to become that which I coveted.
But I always knew in the back of my head that there were always others who would get there before me, who would become jedi first. I eventually got sick of smuggler and when it was announced that Publish 10 would contain a new jedi system I stopped grinding and went back to enjoying the game.
Now I learn that at best I will be in group 4 of the people who wish to unlock their second (oh my preciousssssssss) slot. In the name of traffic control of course....
Now here's the sticky part. We ALL know that if left unchecked this game's ultimate reward (being a jedi) will become tarnished as there will be too many jedi in the galaxy. We ALL know that there has to be some controls in how to become a jedi. But we ALL want our slots NOW!!!!! Ahh... the lovefor instant gratification.
I see people on this thread complain how they are upset because they just started this game and now they have to wait.... well I say "Hey... I've been here since day 1 and I have to wait... I've waited this long... I can wait a bit longer" And I see people complain "Well I've completed X number of professions and I should become jedi NOW!!!" And I say "Hey.. you'll still get your opportunity before me... and I have just as much of a wish to be a jedi."
Give the devs a break and understand that they are trying... even if not to your satisfaction. It's not perfect, but at least it's closer to the way many of us first had hoped.
I do have a small complaint however.... something which I think is a bit more constructive as a starting point for another thread. And that is: Jedi-ship should not be the final and ultimate reward in this game. There should be many more similar rewards which should be aside of Jedi-ship. Among these are some ideas: a second character slot (not tied in with force sensitivity), additional professions only obtainable through questing, superior non-player crafted loot, etc.) Also I am a bit disappointed that the Jedi revamp took a front seat to the combat revamp and now it is rumored that it may come after JTL. Which makes me suspect that you guys are using the devs of JTL to do the revamp for you...
Anyway...thanks for the revamp! Now get back to work

Would everyone PLEASE JUST STOP MOANING THAT THERE NOT MADE A JEDI STRAIGHT AWAY. look we are all eager and enthusiastic about getting jedi but moaning at the devs aint gonna speed them up. if ur serious about unlocking then u should understand about a million others are trying too and just be paitent.

hey i have 4 professions mastered and about 65 other badges of themeparks and poi's and have the innerglow and the force within me . What does this mean time wise to get the old man visit?

im sorry to say this.. and i never thought i would.. but im leaving come WoW release.
this game is becoming 1 let down after another.
it feels like a heavily manifactured way of keeping me playing.
the base game and regular professions bore me.. the idea of being a jedi does sound nice..
ive been playing for like a year now.. and ive mastered 13 professions in that time.
i have played this game as it was made to be played (i didnt holo grind) i did do my holo's ... but not in a grinding way.
i have enjoyed playing... but now my one and only intrest in this game is becoming a jedi.
it i was upset to hear that the FS village had phazes ... which would manifacture a way of making unlocking take months and months... i accepted that.. just.
now i hear.. i have to do yet more waiting to even start the quests.....
there isnt enough normal game content in this game to keep me entertained any longer.
all the content they have added lately has been bogus.
the hologrinding to unlock may have been annoying having to do things you didnt want to...
but at least with every profession completed you felt like you had got that bit closer.. you wernt waiting for someone to "allow" you to continue.. you did it on your own steam.
as soon as WoW comes out im off...
that is the first time ive said that... as i really really loved this game up untill recently.
the devs keep making awfull decisions...
how long do i have to wait till the old man visits me?
few weeks?
then at least 4 months to unlock jedi... then 4 months grinding jedi to get to a level where i would feel like a jedi...
such a shame as this game had.. and still has so much potential
im just done waiting for it to be added.

Ok ok, freak out time. Now i'm talking with some guildies who are "glowing from the force" who did not even finish their given holocron professions?? now i know something is broken.. At least two people i have talked to didnt even master their last holocorn profession, mastered less then 8 professions total, yet are "glowing" with the force and way closer to unlocking then those of us that took the time to finsih the holocorn professions and press on toward our goal....... SoE you arnt telling us the whole system here, or else there are major glitches in it, which is easy to believe in this whacky game........
finishing up to your "silent" holocron should at least get you in group 1 or 2 automatically...
