Thread: Desired Rewards
How about more drops that are used in schematics. There are already a number out there....how about some more, perhaps some for weapons that proc (may be a bit to ask...but there it is). I think that adding rare drops for advanced missions would give a reason for doing them. Credits are always nice, but by the time most are able to some of the advanced missions they have more then enough money. Anyhow..there is my 2cr.
You devs need to think before you implement things into the game!!!!! put it this way why would i go all the way to dathomir and solo to try to take out a dark jedi when all i get is a crapy 10 imperial faction points?or a dumb pistol? make the reward a skill enhancement that you can add to sockets . Also you are about to nerf commando when as it is you have to be a 0 range to get a dot and if you miss your dead ,if thats the case change flamethrower to be effective from 50-64 range then, your so happy to listen to the novices and nerf commando becuase they are the masses and whine to u. of corse a master commado should be able to kill apprentices and novices ,think about it!!!! and omg 65,000 hit points for a rebal base !!! lol so ill tripple my time to kill that base now thanks to your new nerf, this is the last straw i will be quiting and never ever buy another of your products!!! get out of beta before you make a game go live ,i dont feel like changing my char classes everytime you want to freaking nerf something !!!!!!
there are several highly prised rewards that you can instatute depending on which quest is appropriate
first specials for existing crafted items such as buffs or special decorations and general improvements
new plans for new items objects new buildings new armor plans
special decorations tatoos special ingredients to boost or modify ingredients (imagine aquiring a rare herb that negates the puking for one creation of spice)
next is favors or perks that are impressive an example would be an orbital bombardment perk or 3 tie/x-wings doing a strafing run special travel privelage or evac caller
i allways thought you need 3 more stats dealing with reputation fame and social standing
medals, rank, titles this may include publicity like if you look up the players name on holonet their fame or story is there (good or bad lol)
puzzle pieces or critical artifacts generally one of a kind part of a larget theme
special starwars galaxy perk like a special question directly answered by a developer or comment replied to directly i know many people that would give an arm for this kind of quest
more skill points or special skills outside of existing trees
House decorations (paintings, statues, aquarium, new plants, etc.), uber-power-ups, and rare items (like ahead of a droideka from the Clone War or a piece of Alderaan).
First, I really like BeWary's idea of gaining new certs for rare/unique weapons. The quest could involve wielding such a weapon awkwardly, completing various goals, and coming out of it with proficiency.
The idea that I think I would most enjoy is this: some questswould bemundane and have immediate rewards, but others would draw you "deeper into the rabbit hole." Each favor done could give you a chance to make contacts deep within the rebellion, the empire, or maybe an unrelated third party. I'm thinking of something along the lines of that game Majestic, except it would only give you contacts in-game and not try to call your cell phone. You would recieve quests by e-mail, log in to findan unfamiliar itemin your inventory, try to take a shuttle somewhere and end up in a smoke-filled room. Well, that last one might need to be exceedingly rare, people like ending up where they meant to go, but you get my drift. I'd like to be torn between betraying one party and helping another, and seeing the party that recieves the most support gain power in the galaxy.
Well, I'm getting ahead of myself. My idea: doing missions gets you noticed by higher powers. Thanks.

I noticed new scematics as more time goes by.. maybe if you reward new scematics.... or maybe info or tips to becomeing a jedi?
You speak of not unbalancing the game yet I can't think of adding anythingthat wouldn't yet be worth having... so basically quests are useless.. I do hope people can figure out what to do as so dar I've yet to find a post that is balanced and right for the ideas you speak of.
Schematics. They involve crafters and if a particular schematic has bonuses or whatever. Maybe even rare resources to use in them you have to farm too.
The idea of one-time use schematics with excellent or rare statistics would also be appealing.
Make clothing skill enhancement mods drop more often or be a great reward for a quest, after all, everyone can use them in clothing, and no artisan can make them, so it wouldn't hurt any of the crafting professions to put them in, and everyone would benefit.
Make a quest for a rare creature for master creature handlers, something not already in the game or a special variant of one that already is. Other classes would benefit from similar ideas, as the rare creature for a CH is akin to the rare schematic for a weaponsmith.
AT-ATs as faction pets for a successful high-level Imperial quest. (I can dream, can't I?)
Functional badges would be nice. As the developers are no doubt aware, several hundred people have gone looking for the Intellect and Altruism badges ever since they were mentioned as working, because people like to see a tangable reward for their efforts, not 30 credits for bringing someone soup or a terrible below-novice weaponsmith grade weapon for completing Jabba's theme park. To me, the badges are a big reward for a difficult quest (except obviously Project: Dead Eye), and shows people you have made the effort.
Oh, and a force-sensitive slot for completing everything in sight would be nice as well. (Waits for flame).
Advanced Schematics
I would love if all the schematics that all crafters have right nowis onlythe ones that is learned when learning skillboxes, but that each profession would alsohave about an equal emount of Advanced Schematics that is not equally common knowledge and cannot be taught to each others. These would be loot from NPCs in high level research facilities and representing a coded datadisk or something. Theowner can use it, but it cannot be copied so he cannot share it. They would also take a certain amout of space in the datapad, so not only do they have to find them, a crafter might have to decide what Advanced Schematics he wants to have/keep and not. Once integrated into the datapad they can only be destroyed, not removed or traded.
Any schematic that adds function to just about anything, greater than what crafters can make will cause a camping situation. If you want something of that type make it simply a different look rather than better stats. If you do something that might make it a farmed item, please make it lore as in everquest.
You might get away with an expendible item such as a powerup, or food/spice that is consumed quickly and camping just wouldnt be worth it.
Decorations for homes is a great idea in my opinion. Titles, badges or a unique look to armor or clothes is also a great idea.
