Your Whine Central has been taken away. Time for the people who care to find the place to post their feedback to get heard, and not the whiney children who rush to the Discussion Forum to cry about the big mean bully that pushed them down and took away their blaster.

I'm not resting till I get results.
the dev's tell us what to talk about and we talk about it. no room for free thought it seems
Today I was only able to think of 2 reasons.
Thanks SOE.

I swear these people need to hire someone to run their customer service department because whoever is in there now is a bungling moron. If that is you Thunderheart or Q-3POed, then you need to stand up and face the music.
Seriously, only Microsoft gets away with more than what you guys are getting away with right now.
Well at any rate when all the CS jobs go to India we will not have anyone listening anyway.
If I'm not mistakenthat would be someone named John Smedly, or something very close to that. Some of his greatest hits were Donel's Chestplate, the Mystere Banning, and my personal favorite - deleting all open customer service tickets.

Is this what is being said? I've heard some pretty strange reasoning on these boards, but this takes doublespeak - or should I say devspeak - to a new level.
I don't know about the devs, but I personally find it more difficult to comb through 10 or more PAGES of replies to a single thread looking for info than scanning the subjects of many threads. Meaning, why start one thread saying "How do you 200,000+ people feel about this issue? Respond here and only here no matter the size and complexity of the issue under discussion." when you could have several threads discussing different aspects in varying levels of generality.
Seriously. Subject-lining a thread "Weekly Roundtable" doesn't make it any different than "Post your bug reports in response to this post-come back in a week and do it again." And it will only be all the more difficult for devs to respond in a timely and coherent manner.
Original post: "Here's your weekly roundtable!"
DE responds: "We're broken - still!"
Flurry user responds: "We can't travel anywhere!"
Kiss-ass responds: "Great idea TH!!!!!1 Is there anyway I could make it easier for you to have your ass kissed?"
Dev post: "We're looking into it."
Forum reader responds "Looking into what exactly?"
Tailor responds to original post (confusing isn't it): "Any plans to make necklaces viewable? They've been impossibly far from the camera since Beta."
Dev post: "The bugs we introduced trying to fix the bugs we introduced to BE"
Other Forum reader responds: "Wasn't it DE, not BE that was broke?"
Increased communication? I'll believe it when I see it. Maybe. Some of the crap I see here is pretty hard to believe.
Absolutely right, Knighthawk...
Welcome to Operation: Divide-and-Conquer, everyone!
Now let's all be a bunch of good little mushrooms... ![]()
why dont we just hijack a forum and take it as our own....
the artisan and entertainer forums are basically useless...lets all just start posting there...
i for one dont have time to skim thru 5 forums and go through threads with 12 pages of posts...
this new format basically makes me feel i am in the dark. if we have a new bug like armor colors being screwed i doubt it would be easy to find the information about it.

You're commenting on an unrelated topic within this thread, yet ignoring your customer dissatisfaction with the closing of the SWG discussion forum?
Either Koster did a really good job of training TC to be a just like him or its just Koster using a psuedonym
So where is everyone else going todiscuss general topics?
I was thinking maybe the General Star Wars forum?
Closest thing to what we had.....
I still wish to discuss things with the entire SWG community and server forums won't provide this.
I don't care if the devs don't read the forum, I still want to talk toeveryone.
And maybe we can avoid all the "I have a great idea" and "DEVS READ THIS NOW" posts that never would have gotten implemented because they would have required rewriting the entire game.

Why don't you make the next forums poll "Would you like to have SWG Discussion back?" with answer choices of Yes or No. I think it would be pretty obvious that people would want it back.
I think that would be a good idea.
And if people KNOW that the devs won't be monitoring the thread, perhaps they won't post threads to the devs demanding attention.
I think the Star Wars forum would be a good second home for everyone.
