What if the whole loot system was a lottery? As in the damage given to a npc/creature would be converted to points from the percentage of damage done by a character. Then, when the npc/creature is dead, an auto loot is done with the winner of the lottery given the opportunity to take the loot, any piece or all of it, witht he pieces he/she did not want being passed onto the next person in line in the lottery giving them the same option as the first lottery winner and so on until all items are looted from the corpse.


For example. I deal out a total of 5k damge to a 100k HAM npc. That gives me 5% of the damage done in the kill. Which translates into 5 lottery points. Which means I would have a 5/100 chance (or merely a 5% chance) of winnng the lottery for that particular kill. Some who dealt 60k of damge to the same npc would have a 60/100 chance (60%) of winning.


Camping spawns would not always pay off and those that regulary get outdamged by large groups or Uber players would have a minute chance at getting something every once in a while.


The people who do the most damge would get most of the goods. I propose that it no be a winner take all situation and that there should be a 2nd, 3rd, and so on places for prizes every so often.

Also why should the good loot favour the rich (who can afford 50 million dollar weapons)and make the rich even richer? While the poor players are forced to scrape and save credits to purchase off these few that monopolise the market.


Ideally there really has to be a way to discourage these people and give everybody more of a chance.


I dont mind hard work and putting in alot of time in this game I have spent at least a buffday hunting for krayts since the spawn increase to get myself a pearl for my saber as I cant afford to purchase one at the huge prices that are being asked and to this day still havent been successful and i play swg 12 hours a day.


I can find the krayt be in a group and start killing it having no real probelm killing it and staying alive then poof outta no where some guy shows up and has the thing dead in a matter of mins and gets loot rights? Content for everybody you say? Or just those that are rich or lucky enough to have those weapons?

Shouldnt loot rights also be deemed on :


1. Group damage done (not single this doent encourage group play)

2. People who intiated combat first (found the npc/krayt first)



Also those thing aside then the loot sharing within the group should be round robined each memeber gets loot in order one at a time. This will also avoid the rush to loot whereat the end of each battle u see like 10 people all dive and hug the mob with like 1800 HAm to go waiting to loot. A


Bring back screen messges atm u get the ninjas that loot everytime but say they dont and we think that the corpse was just empty.

New group looting sounds good. Only thing I would change is the Master Looter. I would make looting like this.


1) Free for all

2) Equal Looting of credits w/ lottery of an item that is present

3) Lottery of all, both credits and item


Overall. Very pleased w/ new system.
