Just so everyone knows... you dont have to be a holo grinder, i was not a holo grinder...but i have the badges (1 prof badge,5 content, 3 jedi poi, 2 difficult poi, and 5 reg poi) the old man came to me...i am working on the quests now...so the whole "holo grinders get to go first " bs is out the window....if you are glowy, you will get a visit as far as i know...also a few people in my guild who were also non hologrinders have been visited...just so everyone knows

I'd just like to say i got the old man yesterday evening it was the evening for me in england anyway then this morning when i woke up i logged on tried the old shuttling around thingy for about 4 shuttles then got attacked by the sith. Just waiting for server reset now to go to the village for my first time. weeee!

Asked over 200 people today that were glowing, not one saw the Sith. This is on Corbantis. I assume, like every fking thing else in this game, the answer is going to be "maybe after server reset". Can't they just do ONE THING RIGHT?

Well I doubt a Dev is gonna read this but I well post it anyways. The whole Veteran rewards system is total BS if a casual gamer plays the game for a year and keeps an active account that contributes to the entire premiss of the MMORPG should be rewarded with a JEDI even if he or she choses not to use it even an additional charecter to play the game with would be cool but reward a player whom has been playing for 30 days call them a veteran and what ever stupid gift you cook up is completly lame. SOE is more worried about people ripping them off and exploiting the game then listening to the people who enjoy it. They can log a person who dupes credits and ban them or even ban multiple people mabey not even involved but they cant log a person who has payed for their account and played it for over a year and treat them like a deticated customer is crazy they can make this game so much better then they have in the last few patches. Playing this game for the last year and 3+ months i have met tons of people and had some good times. But now I think its time to cancle my account. The more I play the more i relize this game is like a 14.99 a month chat room program. I was happy when hearing about the new patch 10. I even created a charecter on test center 3 months before it got to the test center just so i could have a charecter able to test it the first day it was good we got to the camp almost within a day. When we converted the xp the rates had more of a respectable value. I think it was 1 for 1 combat and 1 for 10 weapons xp but they patched that away in a few days. When they changed it to what it still remains its worse then trying to guess a few hidden proffessions. We now have to drop Proffessions that are enjoyable and use skill points towards a new line of crap thats not even rewarding and also costs 100 times the effort to achive. i mean + 12 melee speed for all that time pluss drop proffessions to get it. Such a joke getting into the camp was my first worry. Now that i have seen the reward i got for doing 4 Holo proffessions going silent and doing 12 more after and completeing all of those before January. I would rather start grinding proffessions all the 12 I did after my holos I enjoyed pacing myself and having fun. Im just tired of the way we are strung along in a game that needs more help on the development staff then anything else take turns for the worse. I attended the E3 show and was saddend by the amount of people hanging around at the starwars boths then any others I love video games and dont really like it when its becomes a dead end job that everyone in the work place is complaining about. But who knows mabey some one whom cares reads this and tries to make a few changes that would really define the word Veteran.

dont know if anyones posted this yet but im goign to anyways. for all of you who are confused about the skills you must learn to become jedi; you need 6 total branches. but the catch is you can only learn 1 branch a phase. so if you were like me and didnt do holos were gonna have to wait 6 phases to get our jedi, each phase lasts some 2-4 weeks. so in maybe 3-4 months ill finally get lucky lol

wow what an awsome post ,its great to see all the hologrinders bitching ,cos they spent the last year grind out profession after profession ,and are still no closer than i am to getting a jedi lol,great work guys.

personally i would love to see jedi removed from the game 100% and switch the focus to "THE GALACTIC CIVAL WAR" anyone actually remember that part of the movies?,well let me refresh your memories .well it all starts some years after the "JEDI" were "WIPED OUT" .the main focus of this game should be the cival war between the empire and the rebelion not how long you have to wait to get in to a damn village that had to be invented cos the devs couldnt control the hologrinders ,so what happens when either you reach jedi master? will you quit the game and go do something else?will the devs be pandering to the jedi again and adding quests that only the jedi can do and the rest of us fee paying mortals can go screw ourselves (cos trust me thats how it feels at the moment )

infact heres an idea ,why dont the devs get to work on a third combat,healing and craftin tier to the proffesions so the people that dont want to become jedi can actually compete ,for one we saw that jedi are vunerable in epsode 2 and hell they get wiped out in ep3 so they should have weaknesses and i would say that like knights of medieval england and the samurai of fedual japan they were found wanting when attacked with "GUNS" ,

what would be nice would be to make these third teir of proffesions also have a factional element to ,so a rebel armoursmith can make factional armour ,or use the resourses that a large body like the rebelion to make greater improvments on weapons ,bases ect ect,or a rebel medic for example could produce better enhancements,than there non factional counterparts .

then the average commando could become a rebel or empire commando ,again using improved weapons and armour to take down facilities ,the posibilities are endless ,riflemen could become a rebel sniper or imperial assasin ,you could have legendry bounty hunters ,these guys could actualy take down a jedi .

i would also like to see a timed declare option put into place ,so you dont have to goto a recruiter ,declare then travel to the place you attend to attack ,you should have the option to declare either when you want to or have a timer that runs down so you have the chance to get to were you intend to attack .

i know this thread is about jedi ,but i think the game lost its way and i blame the dev's for that ,seeing a jedi should be the rarest thing in the game ,now there are more jedi than you can shake a banthas tail at .

update from prev post

got visit from oldman yesterday, thur 12 noon eastern time

no sith all day and night

this morning, friday 5:45 am loggin in 6am got sith visit (easy kills)

did sith camp, got wp went to vilage.

trained in 5 fs skills freebies for profesion grind (you dont need to convert xp first these are free choose the right options when trying to train)

the training option went away after didnt know what to do so converted all spare xp from evrything i had to fs xp. then logged for server reset. not sure what to do next.

my fs box is green, initiate seems to be next have no idea how to get to it. there are no branchesor skill trees just boxes goin up 1 str8 line the first fs box is green intitiate next.

hope this helps the people behind me, will be back to update after i figure out whats next lol
