I like the Bazaar change, but i feel that the item limit on vendors (if there shoudl be any at all) should be much higher than 150. Why fix it if it isnt broke?

I have worked hard and have been playing this game since it's inception. I have two accounts and actively play both of them one is a combat char and the other is a crafter....my crafter is a master WS, Arch, Artisan and 0444 merchant. I currently have probably 5000 items on my venders from backpack storage to loot items and crafted items. As you all know WS and especially architects need mega storage for all their componants. All i can say is if this vender change goes thru you can count on losing two accounts most definately. I am not a monopoly. There are many on the server i play on just like me and Noobs are never discouraged from getting to where we have gotten. If you are looking for less server lag from all the data that is on the venders well, you can certainly count on any of these players like myself that DONT quit this fine game to drop many houses for storage. Hence same server data.....Please rethink this idea as i dont think you will find too many veteran crafters that will be behind you....

I dont see where haveing as many items on a vendor as you can would hurt the sales, thats what the sorting areas are for, I would suggest for that to sort crates of say furniture into the furniture sorting section rather then under the crate section, you should encourage sorting of the items rather then making it so there will be less.

I have read where weaponsmiths have over 400 items on a vendor, sounds like you look at this as a mess I see it as avalability, if im looking for a pistol I just sort for pistols, I dont just look at vendors to see what they have I look for specific items myself.

This limit will also hurt me and my vendors, you put the schem limit at 1000 but we can only put 150 items on a vendor, i run all 1000 items which nomally crate about 10 in a crate so 1 run will take 100 spots on my vendor, I think this is a bad idea. I like to provide choices for my customers but if when 1 person comes to my vendor they buy the 1 crate of bestine candles I have and the next person that comes to it was looking for bestine candles and the 1 crate I had is gone because I couldnt stock 100 crates then I just missed out on a sale. I think that limiting the number of units on a vendor will kill my sales. Just think about Supply and demand if my sales drop my prices will rise to compensate for the lost sales profit, you will kill the economy in the game by limiting the number of items on vendors.

Well that is my 2 cents on the topic

If someone can show me a single monopoly on Intrepid I would be interested in knowing! I just started as a Master Chef. I do great (and I'm a 10 pt chef to boot). My friend just stared as a Master Tailor. He does good too. The little guy has as much chance as the big guy. And btw, the big guyswere once little guys..who worked their butts off to get to where they are (now they get punished for all their hard work).

Vendor cap is a dumb idea. Get rid of empty and old vendors. Only current merchants can have vendors (fix the exploit). Give crafters more space to store stuff ..warehouses and such that hold 1000 items. Crafters need their lots for harvestors and factories..not houses. Make stackable items at 1 million...not 100k. Make crates store more than 25 items (10 in some cases).

If your gonna cap vendor items..start with a 1000 item cap per vendor...not 150.

And finally, if your running out of room on your servers..buy more..cause this won't solve your problem..its just a bandaid. Don't punish your subscribers because your development team lack foresight and planning. That's is no way to run a business.

I can vouch for this guy. I've been playing with him since day 1 basicly.110 item max is obserd, even if you use all of your vendor capabilities. There is no point in having a NEXT PAGE button, when theres only 10 items on the page. This entire idea of limiting players, because SOE is too cheap to invest in hardware to support their game is obserd. ( and we all know thats why ) ... Maybe if you didn't allow 14 day trials for like 2 months now and have all these newbies who arn't going to keep playing fill up the database; yet hinder the real players who have been here for a year now. People wouldn't be so disappointed in illogical proposals such as these.

On another note, perhaps you should destory the real hardware issue and remove all of these harvesters and houses that people own who arn't even active accounts. There are FIELDS of nonactive static harvesters from CLOSED accounts that do nothing but hog server resources. The server resources used by these static objects HEAVILY outweigh non-loaded inventories on vendors.

To add onto that, trial accounts add to this more than useless static object count. Inevidably making our server load even more for pointless reasons. I understand new players are required to keep this game running, but its the LONG-TERM players who really keep this game alive. This current proposal is going to destory their population.

This game is supposed to be based on crafters.SOE wants them to be so persistant in this world, but now you will take away one of their most supportive aspects. Truely disappointing.

Limiting items on vendors is such a terrible idea! Who comes up with these things?? First a limit on the items in my house so i surrender skills i worked hard for in order to get a vendor for storage now you're talking of limiting my vendor too!!! This is outragious! If vendors are running a load on the servers then GET RID of the bazar!! 6k is all crap items anyhow!

I have over 500 items on my buddy's vendor as storage, and another 300 onthe vendor he setup for selling my stuff in the mall. If you put the limits in place without giving me a place to store my stockpile of meats, hides, flora, and in organics. then this causal playing MBE will close up shop. Me and my buddy the ex WS will put a couple cases of his best weapons in a house, probably just let our resources rot, because no one will pay squat for them when no one can store them, and then we will watch the economy crumble. At least until our accounts expire. I have no idea where you find these great ideas? Ever thought about maybe .... playing the game to see what it's like?

I hate to beat a dead horse here folks.......as I know everything I'm about to say has already been stated for 99 pages.

Nerfing Crafters and Merchants is ridiculous. We are already handicapped by our shortage of lots versus the need for storage and harvestors/factories. I didn't design the game.....I only play it, therefore it isn't my fault that I must have 100 different resources to make weapons....or that I need 20 different components in factory crates. But still, I suffer from the fact that storage space is always a problem. Now you want to limit the amount of items that I can put on MY vendor on the account that I pay for, for the sake of improving your database? Ummm.....something is very wrong here. My family has 4 accounts, 2 of which are mine....one is a combat/rp character, the other a crafter. If these limits are imposed.....I know I will delete and cancel my second account. There is no point in having a crafter that can't sell his wares. This isa game for me, not a job......I cannot afford to sit around all day waiting for custom orders.....I prefer to stock everything so that customers always know they can find what they're looking for.

I really try not to complain about this game.......I am a Star Wars fan to the core....and for me, this game was a dream come true, a chance to play a character in that galaxy. But everyday I see useless things like holo-emotes.....while necessary economical systems like vendors are going to be destroyed. Want to solve your database problem? Umm.....start by removing all the holo-grinding empty vendors that you created in the first place with the bogus Jedi system. Then, use some of the money made off subscription fees to actually improve the game systems.....bigger servers....etc. I'm afraid that by hurting the in-game business, you will be hurting your business as well. I'm not planning on cancelling out of spite, but I cannot justify spending money on an account that I can't use to it's fullest potential. I'm a shopper as well, and I'm going to miss my favorite crafters on Sunrunner when they quit....Folks like Rowyn, an architect who keeps his vendors fully stocked at all times with hundreds of items....I KNOW I can go to his shop and find what I need......but he will quit under these vendor limits....as will many others. You will not destroy monopolies, you will destroy the finest crafted goods in this game, because the crafters that actually give a damn will give up.

Guess I've said enough.

This whole idea is a bunch of mallarky, you trying to lose customers?

Anyhow I have a great idea, you (DEVS) say that the reason you want to limit the vendors is to prevent monopolies and to make it easier for the consumers to make purchases. That's all fine and dandy, but don't limit the number of items we can have held in the "stockroom" section of our vendors, this area is where us merchants can keep our overstock, it won't affect the consumers nor will it allow for monopolies.

If I am unhappy with the changes I will seriously consider leaving the game. I am sure many are with me on that notion as well.

I saw the update with the promise of more items per vendor ... MAYBE...

I can only say that this will be the end of game for me and my three characters, I have two crafters, and they are master merchant as well as the crafting classes. I was looking at the lots and the storage needed to be able to store more stuff as well as harvester room, well its just going to make to much work to continue it. It could be done with what I will be allowed to have but why; it is not worth the hassle so at the implement of this nerf I will be saying good-bye to SWG with all characters and move on to another game.

I just think there is a better way, and it really is poor service to be given so much for so long to have it taken away.

Some Ideas of crates holding more at a time are great; however, any new people coming to the game will not be able to afford the cost of these items because they will keep the same pricing only triple due to size.

The stocking of a vendor every day is just not something I am prepared to do either, and that is exactly what it would take. I work already during the day and I really would not want to come home and feel like oh god what did I sale what do I need to restock... ALTERNATIVELY, what items will we stock this week because they will not all fit on the vendor.

I for one do not like the vendor caps, it is far too easy to find near empty vendors now. It is like a treasure to find the vendors with 200+ items. If it seems unballanced for some to sell large quantities and others to sell small quantities, then so be it. A full vendor is an indicator of someone willing to serve their customers, those same vendors are the ones we keep in our datapad to return to when we really need an item. Those who do keep their vendor's full, deserve the rewards they reap (including the loyalty we have to them). Don't make me spend more time in this game shopping through nearly empty vendors meerly to find the items I need to play.

I have been playing SWG for 8 months now i started with 1 account now i have 3 plus i have got 3 friends to sign up as well all on my credit card. We where trying to be the best Merchants in the game that sells everything from A-Z. now we hear that SWG r going to drop the Vendors item limits that they can hold to 150 per vendor which has upset us all in a way that weare really considering giving up on this game for good. So take note Devs you will lose a lot of good customers if you do limit the Vendors.

Thanks
