"Vehicles will no longer auto-heal when left out and stored after a player has taken a transport to another location."

I just left Theed and traveled to Corellia. When I left theed I tried to store my bike - but, as always, it would not strore. I figured it was just a ghot vehicle so no big deal. I completely repaired my vehicle before I left Theed. About 30 minutes on Corellia I called my vehicle - I did not have to store it (so I am right about it being a ghost vehicle I guess) but it is now more damaged then it was before I repaired it in Theed.

So a fully repaired vehicle turned into an even more damaged vehicle - and I am out the 4K it cost to repair it to begin with.

No Sig for now... stay tuned

WHY DID YOU REMOVE THE NOVA TROOPERS???

I am neitheran imperial or arebel, but I amso tired of tip toeing over stormtrooper bodies in the major cities.

.

The way some player treat theses watered down soliders is shameful, I travel into KV on nearly a daily bases and watch as rebels farm these troopers endlessly. There is one specific rebel who is there all the time and must have the highest body count among all rebels in his area. He has a total lack of respect for the ST's and I have witness him killing them in his underwear unarmed wearing only a Red Compsite helmet. In the begining he was kinda funny to watch, but has sense become an eye sore and a clown.

.

Each day I keep Thinking what a JOKE this so called crackdown is, no wonder the rebels run amok here everyday killing the ST's in such great numbers...

.

Then to my surprise, yesterday I rode into town expecting to see dead troopers everywhere....instead I almost laughed my butt off as I watched a group of rebels tear past me on foot running for their lives, they didn't get far as they were all shot down before they could escape. what was even more shocking was the way these new troopers were moping the floor with these very same PC's that were farming them the day before. Even Mr. Red Helmet himself was staring at the sky at the feet of a Nova trooper...what irony...justice was served!

.

For a brief moment I actually respected and feared the impire, further more I was scanned and fined for the very first time that day. THIS WAS A CRACK DOWN!

.

How could you give into to these rebel whinners so easly when you continue to ignore everyones elses cry over the starport wait times.

On the issue of Nova Troopers, I'm not saying don't beef up the scan parties, hell yes make them stronger and more interesting but what irks me is that you all do not pause to consider what the Nova Troopers are supposed to be. You want to do some calculations? Sure, let's.

Assume the Imperial Army to have 1.000.000 personnel. Out of those 900.000 are Stormtroopers, 50.000 are Scout Troops, 48.000 are vehicle crews, maintainance teams and commanding officers, 1.800 are Storm Commandos,200 are Nova Troops, the elite of the elite, trained to extreme points to be the Emperor's Finest.

Now in comes Vader, sending troops out for the Crackdown and he has to pick who and what to send. Now all Imperial players mean to say that instead of sending the rank and file troops and perhaps one or two elites with them as escort he's going to just send the 200 elite troops in his disposal running around on planets via shuttles to scan every single lamer that runs in the wilderness in search of contraband? Let's all pause and get a little grip here please. Those 200 troops are meant to be guarding high importance installations and joining decisive battles in an effort to turn the tide.

You want the Crackdown to be harsher and make Rebels more afraid? Sure thing, make Stormtroopers stronger, believe me when I say the're laughable currently, hell I don't think a single Stormtrooper can kill a single Savage Quenker. I don't know how, give thema littlebetter resists, a little more HAM, a couple of special weapons to carry around just in case, make them use special issue carbines as they do in the movies, make them setup stationary gun emplacements that can cut through people like hay but holy christ sending the elites out to scan for contraband? What's next sending Vader and the Emperor out to search for overt Rebels?

If the problem is that things are weak the solution is definately not notching numbers upwards and sending things out. Do you realize that there are humanoid mobs stronger than kimogilas and krayt dragons? What manner of mockery is this? A Nightsister with 450k HAM when the Krayts have 350K and are far far easier to kill? Come on guys don't make SWG the kind of RPGs we played on Sega consoles all those years ago the ones where the enemy had to have a million HPs to survive.

And please try to remember its a game, its meant to be fun, not frustrating in every single step a person has to take.

Well here's my two cents about this update, not that it matters much, but anyways:

As people have said this game was about the casual players, not the High end grinding mofo's that complain about everything.

Ok about the Nova Troops, thats good and all, The stats shouldnt be so high, the resists is fine and dandy, I like the challenge of attacking high dudes, but bringing in too high is not the answer you are looking for. Yes, I also agree that faction farming was definately in need of a change. It has gotten so easy to make rank and also to buy weapons for your bases and such. That introduction was great, and I think I read somewhere that they can actually take your stuff? not sure, but that is great, the imperials should have been able to do that from the start, but like someone has also posted, instead of making them really high ham'd and resist you could have just gotten rid of the ability to farm fp there, like not enable it in cities unless in pvp.

Vehicle Repair kits: No, dude dont even think about repair kits. Instead maybe make it so that people have to actually go to an Artisan to repair it. Artisans need money as much as anyone else. So why not allow Disabled vehicles ONLY, to be repaired by Artisans themselves? That way they can charge a reasonable fee, and then people who lose their vehicles to PVP and Mobs can kinda stop complaining.

Mob special attack: I love it, made it more interesting now that mobs could have their special abilities. Get poisoned and diseased more often, but thats what docs are for, great job.

Everything else seems about standard. I personally dont mind the waiting at starports, just a part of the game and gives me the chance to chat alittle more with characters i've never seen before.

I agree with a couple of things in the last post

Disabled vehicles SHOULD be repairable, but only by Artisans. Keeps the money in the Artisan profession as it would making them buy new bikes, but means people don't totally lose their vehicles if they are unlucky enough to have them store bugged out when they get scanned.

Interesting to see that the majority (a few exceptions granted) of people whining about the nova troopers being removed happen to be imps. The simple fact is that they were unrealistic, whichever way you look at it. It seems that SOE's answer to making mobs harder is to simply pile on the HAM instead of actually making them harder to fight. I don't know if mobs have the other stats as well, but maybe by boosting their regeneration rate, making them hit harder and giving them better resists, you could make them harder while not having to raise the HAM to stupid levels. After all - some players are MUCH harder to fight than others - and we all have HAM in a similar range to each other - only our equipment, skills and gameplay skill sets us apart from each other.

I'm rebel, and to be honest, I'd welcome them being a little tougher. It should be a fight which is a struggle, but "possible" to win. And I don't mean easy - I want to feel like I have had to work to fight my way out of it - but not simply have to run and pray every time - and likewise I shouldn't be left laughing at how easy it was. After all, a Master Bounty Hunter in the "real"SWG universe is a hell of a lot stronger than a single stormy, but against a number of them, should have a fight for survival. As it is, they have reduced the FP gained for farming the stormtroopers. Why not remove it altogether and just leave FP on places like the weapons facilities or actual rebel/imp missions. At least then people would have to work for it.

I for one would like to see the odd occasion where EVERYONE in a major town gets turned overt - whichever side they are on. Too many people choose to go imp or rebel and just sit around covert without ever actually fighting the other side. Imagine everyone in Coronet or Theed suddenly being turned overt - the complete chaos which would ensue - my god how much fun would it be? It'd have to be completely unannounced so people had no time to prepare. And for anyone who might say "but I'm imp/rebel and have no combat skills", well I say it looks like you'll die the quickest - but almost everyone will anyway so don't feel left out Out of interest - other peoples views on this? How would you all like to be caught up in a massive involuntary PVP battle? Lets assume that decay could be turned off so there'd be nothing to lose - only your pride and a few FP.

Love the droids. Hate the pointless fixes. Hate the vehicle fix. Hate the Shuttle fix because of the Starports.

I really dont want to sound harsh about SWG because I really have been trying to protect this game for so long but I am now uinable to do so. I really have to say this:

For every bug fixed 3 more bugs take its place. For every new content added 3 more bugs are also added.

SWG is very quickly coming to the point were it is UNREPAIRABLE.

Devs, meditate on this I hope you shall.

Oh and the other good point I think about that is that all the AFK spammers could be killed as well.

Well the game is almost one year old yet some of the same problems still exist (starport wait times, weak turrets, shifting PSG res, shifting base vuln times, the list goes on).

Frankly, I fail to see why these "problems" can't be fixed.

I will give you credit about one thing though devs.....you should keep social interaction as the main focas of your efforts becuase thats really the only reason folks still play this game. Hell, if SWG was a one person RPG like Morrowind noone would play it.

Another thing that worthless thunderheart forgot to mention is the implementation of the "Precious Jedi Protection System" the total removal of all jedi missions from the bounty hunter terminals. We asked for a fix to the many exploits that some jedi religiously use and what is the Dev response removing all jedi missions WTG Thunderheart you are showing your true colors hey I have a question for you if I were to actually go through the mindnumbing process of grinding to become a jedi would my opinions matter more to. Im not saying Bounty Hunter is the only broken profession but you Devs like to screw us over every chance you get

Nerf the Devs! They are defense stacking... they have too much in + to dodge... which is why they never gave a real response to the crappy wait at Starports.
