HOWEVER, *please* do not further increase loot kit drop rates. The whole idea of having loot kits isto have a rare, unique item you can display. If you increase drop rates any more, EVERYONE will have one and you will have completely eliminated the purpose for loot kits.

Regarding drop rates for Loot Kit items:
The drop rate now was increased a bit too much. Not only that, butthey drop fromone-shot NPCs such as Meatlumps and Ragtags on Corellia.
This will only lead to players afk-macroing the static spawn points for them, which I already saw earlier this afternoon. Myself, in roughly three hours earlier today in Kor Vella and outside Coronet, I gathered 10 loot kit pieces. A guildmate gathered 12 by running around Tyrena for about two hours. Doesn't that seem a bit high to you? And just imagine if I afk-macroed all night like some do - I'd probably have another 20 pieces by the morning. I haven't completed any kits yet, but I'm well on my way.
It was nice when the loot kit drops were somewhat rare, they were a nice rewarding drop, but soon they will be just likeImperial/Rebel Plans and Locked Containers- nearly worthless. Put simply, when players can afk-macro something, the value of the rewards drops tenfold. Yesterday, each piece sold for around 250k each - a nice money sink.By next week, due to the significant increase of parts in the economy, they'll be at less than 50k each. We'll probably see masses of completed loot kits for sale within a week.
They are a nice addition, butthey should have remained somewhat scarce.
My recommendation would be to revert the drop rates to somewhere in between yesterday's and today's rates, with only higher level NPCs dropping them. Allowing players to afk macro to get the loot kit drops isn't the answer.

Completely disagree.
If they only dropped off higher-level NPCs, it would be unfair to the lower-level combat types. This is supposed to be a set of FUN quests for people to complete, not something frustratingly difficult. Also, it was completely absurd that these pieces were selling for upwards of 100k-250k each. We're talking about 1 million to 2.5 million for items that are, essentially, DECORATIONS (which, if you'll remember, net about 1k credits if turned into the Junk dealers).
Not everyone can make money like they're coining it themselves in this game. Give them a friggin' break.

We suffer a three second delay - while the NPC's just waltz through it..
seems to me you gave them a way to exploit over the players - you know - the ones that actually pay money to play this game.
dont get me wrong - i love the changes - but if you give one set of rules for combat to one side - and the other is not restricted - that is unbalanced.
I know - wait for the combat revamp -- standard answer.
Has nothing to do with the combat revamp. Ever notice a Dark Jedi Master NPC has 300k HAM, 90% hvy resist armor etc...?
Or the stats on the numerous NPC's on the corvette?
And yet, folks are beating them. All the time.
NPC are NOT players, nor balanced against them. They are the challenge and content for players in the GAME. For the same reason NPCs do not get a '25% dmg reduction' in PvP. PvP <> PvE.
I'm very happy to see NPC's provide a great challenge again. It might mean something to say your team took out a Nightsister Elder, or Dark Jedi Master. I just hope after the Devs run the numbers on how many players die in fighting them, the loots tables are tweaked up. It was always disappointing to bring 10-15 friends out to help kill a very high level mob, and result in 1000 credits. In the earliest start days of the game, we saw some really nice loot off Dark Jedi NPC's - just 'nifty' stuff like amulets, crystals, regular weapons, skill attachments. It made all the work worth it.

Well it's another day of grinding Invest IV, so I come to my first bounty. 20% electric rsist, im using my LLC. Oh look a stun batton! I have 80% kinetic, 89% base composite, 2500 buffs, entertainer buffs, brandy, canape, and then I pumped some spice at the end as a last ditch effort. This should be fun. Walk up to her.... WHAM WHAM WHAM, 3 attacks and im down on the group watching her deciding if she'll kill me or not. She does. So I go back and killing her, and end up doing it, with 25 Health left.
2nd Bounty: After buffing AGAIN, I go find my second bounty. This one is white con, 0% electric resist, im thinking I can kill this thing. Except for the fact that it can deal out 1k of damage. Um... I only have 3k health. 3 hits and I'm dead again.
What do you want me to do? All of you 'this is great stop whining whiners', I have ZERO defense mods cause aparently SOE thinks BH's dont need em. Do you want me to spam in Cnet "Doing bounty missions PST need help!" Bounty missions are boring! No way can this patch be a good thing.
I'm lost man, where do you figure you have ZERO defenses? Why don't you master Carbineer? Im a Master Bounty Hunter/Master Pistoleer/Novice Medic....I'm fine....again, I'm lost man. Also, you may want to try some other tactics, have tried using Take Cover? Generallyif I see an NPC with a melee weapon my first inclination is to Mind Shot them to apply blind, then switch over to my damage dealer. I still have no problem taking out bounties unbuffed, so I'm a little lost.

How are you lost? He's saying with Master Bounty Hunter you get ZERO defenses?
What part of that ENGLISH sentence didn't you get?
Your come back is to say master ANOTHER profession for the defenses, well, you shouldn't HAVE TO!
DEVS Why do you have professions where multiple weapons are encouraged (Marksman, BH, Commando) and then discourage them from switching weapons?
Answer me. Please.

Correction, you "shouldn't have to" but you DO have to. They didn't take away the requirements of Master Scout so we could drop it and twiddle our thumbs with more skill points. If he wanted to argue that the pure HYBRID template of MBH having no defenses he should have done just that. In the entire post not a word was mentioned about choosing not to master another profession. The way I see it this can be argued the same with with Smuggler. The bottom line is these are hybrid professions, stated long ago that they were professions to be mixed with others. Now, for the longest time BH was a hybrid that allowed for no augmentation with other professions (and I whined just as much as everyone else about defenses) things are different now. I cannot help people who are afriaid of change. Open your mind and see the opportunities.
