If you are commited to this course of action then why not have some rules imposed? If jedi gather for more than, say 30 minutes, than a shuttle lands nearby and Lord Vader and a group of stormtroopers pour out. It would breath a little life into Vader at the very least.

My other thought is what about force sensatives who want to be imperials? I don't think the Emperor allowed any other Jedi to server under him, however he did have a network of force sensitive spies (Mara Jade). What about implementing something like that?

Vader, Fett and Jade were supposed to come after you if you gained too high of visibility. This was said a year or so before the games release.

I guess they just didnt have time to implement it yet. you have to take up your time banning people for slicing lightsabers first.

It's about time!! I guess I won't be cancelling my subscription after all. I was secretly wondering how lowthey were going to let the subscriptions get until an alarm klaxon went off that told them it was costing them more money to run the servers with the few selfish whiners on and close it down totally, or re-vamp the system bringingthe previously pissed-off gamers back. My, my, my, you can teach and old dog new tricks after all. Who knew? My guess is that the new Jedi quest system will be a SMASHING SUCCESS. I always thought that dropping hard-earned professions to master new ones I loathed playing, defeated the purpose of playing for the the sake of enjoyment, nevermind for the purpose of becoming a Jedi. I likeboth ideas of the main character becoming a Jedi, or an alternate character becoming a Jedi. I thinkthe Devs should leave both optionsavailable to everyone in the game.For those concerned about Jedi numbers, it will not be any worse than it is with thousands mastering professions. In actuality, it might even deter people from playing Jedi. The quest system will make you earn the slot, so it will cut down the Jedi population right there. The holocron farming system was so easy,the Jedis were a dime a dozen. Anyone with the right macros could master an elite profession in a day. Is it any wonder why there were so many Jedis running around? The Devs should take into consideration those that are Jedi already and those that have put in some time into the holocrons, or have become force-sensitiveto be fair to everyone. With the new system, the game might actuality be fun to play again. Wow, what a concept!

Force Crystal Harvesting

As I mentioned earlier, it is possible to keep the lightsaber in the player economy and still remove the crystals.

In every source available, Jedi forage for crystals and Sith craft them.

At Initiate, give the schematic Force Crystal Survey Tool. An Initiate has the ability to search for crystals on Yavin. Yavinian crystals are of the lowest quality and are blue or green only. After a series of surveys, the Initiate homes in on a force crystal formation. The Jedi uses the Force to hunt through the formation for the best crystal. This gives a TEF. When the best crystal is found, the rest of the formation is considered useless. Only one crystal is found per survey, so the foraging cannot be macroed. The quality of the crystal is determined by the level of the Jedi, the quality of the survey tool and the level of the planet.

At Apprentice, the Jedi can forage on Dantooine. Dantooine crystals are of middle quality and can be any color except red. The initial survey tells the color of the formation. There is a chance of spawning a Force Crystal Hunter on a successful forage.

At Guardian, the Jedi can forage on Dathomir. Dathomir crystals are of the highest quality and can be any color. Any forage, successful or not, can spawn a Nightsister.

At Apprentice, the Dark Jedi gets the schematic Force Crystal Forge. Their surveying skill does not improve and they can never survey on Dantooine or Dathomir. The Dark Jedi also gains the skill to find a focal point of Force energy. The forge uses this focal point to create the crystal. The focal point is drained from the use, and a new focal point must be found for the next crystal. Artificial force crystals are always red. Crystal forging also gives a TEF. Mobs spawned are Crystal Hunters on Dantooine, Nightsisters on Dathomir and Dark Jedi or Imperial troops on other planets.

In general, natural crystals are faster and have a lower force cost. Artificial crystals have higher damage and a higher wound chance.

I like the tought of making things better, but why is more content being added when other things are still broken? Why has the jedi sytem been reworked when other things are still broken? Are ther emore jedi then regular players or people trying to become jedi?. Why is corvet adventure being added when other stuff is still broken? Why are some proffessions still brok? why can u still shoot through walls and poision through levels on and on..I like having new stuff but i like what i have to work before I add to it

Being constructive is a waste of your time. They may read these forums and post from time to time but their answers are always as vague as possible. They never listen to good suggestions it seems. They are ALWAYS patching patches when they realize that their idea was completely wrong. One example of this is the faction pet system. They make them perma death, but when everyone complains they drop the price on them 10x but they are still worthless... And now the newest changes to these are that AT-ST's won't be effected by DOT's except for Flame DOTs... Which will be patched again because that is the #1 reason why they are not used right now.

It seems like you are saying any work we've done over the last 6 months in working toward a FSCS is basically wasted. If that is what is going on, this has been the biggest waste of my gaming life.

If I wanted to log into a game, doodle around, and not have it affect my character in the long run, I would have stuck with CounterStrike.

If you do this, not only will I quit, but I will probably never pick up another MMO again. I thought the point of paying you guys $15 a month was that my work was going to count for something and I could have something at the end of my journey to show for it. As it is, I have a housefull of nicknacks, a hefty bank account, and a bunch of meaningless badges.

Tell me there is something more that I have achieved. I played the game for the experience of the journey (Live the Saga or something), but always with the assurance that that journey was more than a spin around the parkinglot.

Where to begin?

17+ Careers under my belt and the vagueness of your responses , TH, has left me to beleive that I have wasted5 months of my life and money on a horribly ill-concieved system to unlock the FS,

Which,

You are now telling us is going to be changed, (Hooray for the change,)

And,

That my 5 months and 75$ of the 150$I have spent(2 accounts, one for grinding, one for enjoying), is going to be trashed,

And,

I will get NOTHING for my money and effort? (Boo on the implementation),(ALSO NOTE THE BLATANT LIE THAT CONTRADICTS EARLIER STATEMENTS SUGGESTING "Grinders would receive compensation for their efforts")

And,

That I will have to start overand will be on par with "Johnny Newbcomer" in terms of focre sensitivity.

Does that sum It up accurately?

If so, I will be cancelling both accounts and I suggest my fellow grinders do likewise........

This is not a threat, merely something to consider.... since it seems pleas for help and guidance don't fall on your ears, perhaps the sound of air rushing in to fill the void in your corporate accounts will perk them up....

This is my first MMORPG... Apparently im paying to play a Beta version.. My EQ friends think I'm insane....

And the silly , sad , stupid fact of the whole thing is that had there not been any Jedi at all, this game wouldnt be so horrible.

I really do enjoy my TKM/Rifleman alternate... whenI have time to play himbecause of grinding. (Which of courseI wont now because I have 15 more careers to go before Publish 10) (SoI guess I'll cancel that one now)

If you'd have waited to release "Jedi" characters after a suitable system was put in place , we wouldnt be having this conversation.

Hey Bob, This game sucks...but you know what? If theystop and fix whats wrong, I might tell another friend and he might want to play..... and if he might want to play, perhaps his brothers , and their friends might want to play... and you know what? The devs can buy Cadillac XLR's instead of Camaro Z-28's (Buy American, Kids!), Or a Condo in Maui instead of that Flat in Pittsburgh...

Short and sweet....... You're making some cash off us... make us happy and we might give you more... piss us off and you maybe back home living with mom.

P.S. "FABLE" comes out for XBOX pretty soon.... I'm betting that it's not a beta when it's released.....(no monthly fees you say?)

(Having been burned by an MMORPG is enough to convice me $50 for a new console title every month is way better than paying $15 a month ona game that's been broken for a year.)

People who are still trying to achieve Jedi now will gain credit for their effort when the system is implemented. I can't tell you how that works otherwise it will cause a rush to exploit. In other words, If I say, "you will be given credit for your work because of "X", there will be a rush to go do "X" in-game. It would be an open door. You will have to be satisfied knowing that we will be making sure that your effort wont be in vein.

Yeah I was a "Tom CLancy's Rainbow Six 3: Raven Shield" Junkie and had a lot of friends from online play with it.

I pretty much bailed on 'em to come play a game that had progress... (or so I thought)

Now I'm the arse because I put my faith in this title, and neglected some good people because I was too busy grinding'

Have I made friends in this game?

sure , who hasn't?

Poor people living under a mismanaged apartment complex make friends with other folks there.

I can't recount the number of times I've made a friend or 6 in SWG by uttering some curse about some broken system out loud, anda bunch offolks have an opinion similar to mine.....Brothers in misery?

Someone earlier in this thread mentioned putting a year of maintenance in their house and taking a vacation till the geame gets out of beta.... that would be a splendid idea if all it cost to maintain your game house for a year was game credits... unfortunately the monthly subscription keeps hitting too...

Count me out.
