You should get it for free when you are overt, or at least for significantly less than covert.

Also you could make it somewhat dependant on rank. High rank faction member could get it for free overt or covert, they just have to check out the next recruiter.

As long as there is decay in PvP I won't participate, if PvP insurance cost more than like 100 fp, I won't buy it more often than once or twice a week, which would still mean no PvP except every now and then.

Quick fixes to make the game fun now: NPCs using weapons and special attacks, reduced resistances on all except faction armor and percentbased encumbrance, faction armor craftable with improved resistances with limited use schematics from recruiters, no permadeath for faction pets, doc buffs percentbased, fixed BH mission payouts, more imperial crackdown activities, replace SBDs on the corvette with high ranking NPCs, reintroduce a Jedi TEF, reward overt players with improved payouts and faction gains

There is too much cash in the system, so I dont think you should be reducing the money sinks any further by doing discount insurance.

Although I doubt many will read this far into the post, I'll put in my 2 cents! Because you can make 50 faction pts per mission (500 - 1000 Cred missions give about 20 FP for doing the mission 12 FP for each MOB and 10 FP for the base) I would think 200 FP would be extremely fair. In fact, 200 FP would be a good happy medium between "casual" and "power" gamers. At first I thought it should be more, but then I remembered that if you die, you lose additional FP (dont want to overkill the "casual gamers"). I think anything over 500 would be extreme, anything below 100 would be pathetic. Thanks for taking the time to read my opinion.

24 hours seems quite a short duration. Can it be possible to make it last longer if you pay more faction points?


I would prefer to see some cost reduction the higher the office rank.

Just make it free in PVP already, your losing customers left and right so try to keep the ones you already have. You devs obviously don't pvp in the game at all when your testing so ill offer an ivitation to you come on my server and I'll clone camp you all day and we'll see how you feel about decay.

take away decay, take away all the business for armorsmiths, weaponsmiths, tailors etc... why buy new if the old stuff never decays? Decay is going to be a fact of life in the game one way or another.. however, I like the idea of free faction insurance if you are overt.. no faction insurance if you are covert.. simple as that..


This would be good for a few reasons.. #1 people can stop crying about decay #2 it would help the pvp on the servers and create more of a "star wars feel" #3 there would still be *some* risk in going overt, just not quite as much

My opinion FWIW is that Factional insurance should cost less and less depending on your rank. Cost FP + Cash. Start with 450FP and 4000 Credits

I think it should be free with overt status as posted earlier in this thread.


Makes no sense that theres 10 times more coverts than overts , making it free for the declared PCs should encourage ppl to participate more directly in the GCW.

I think the idea of free for overts and costing for covert is a wasted effort. I dont know about your server, but there are faction towns all over Flury that simply arn't occupied by anyone. Fly in, declare, get your free pass, wait your hour to go back to covert status... poof... free 23 hours of immunity with only an hours time (and in an hour I could run a bunch of faction misions to give me somethign to do).


I think that if we're going to have to pay for it it should be the equivelent of 2-3 faction missions, so maybe 200FP top end. That way everyone can enjoy the benefit if they want to PvP. Me? as a combat medic I do alot less then I did as a doc, but i still get into it as a part-timer when the mood strikes. Adding a non-decay feature will make me more likely to take on fights I may not win... more challange = more fun (PvP and PvE alike)

Oh yeah and to those who say taking decay away from armoursmiths/weaponsmiths. Weapon's don't decay on death and armour decays when you get shot. I have nothing that decays - any serious PVP'er doesn't. I don't buy armour - only bought it under the illusory belief decay would be gone. Armoursmiths have always been cheap and clothing works fine at 0 condition.

just let us pay for example 5k per time we die in pve and f.i. 2k in pvp as we die there more often.. My god if you spend millions on the best armor and millions on skillplates etc... don't we loose enough money anyway if we die?


My idea is just no decay on insurance or no decay at all like the first time decay was removed, that was an ideal situation... You could think :"hey, see that ancient krayt over there, wonder whether we can solo it...". Nowadays when I see a mob that has a potential of db'ing me I just say: "stay away from it!". Each death costs me tons of money just calculated with a percentage of loss on my armor and assorted skilltapes..


Sure when you have a piece of armor that costs 100k or even 300k... that is expendable,but not when it costs millions.. come on, please just remove decay for pve too.... (insured or just no insurance anymore, although I don't like the idea of insurance, get money sinks elsewhere)
