Oh.My. God.

Five minutes after logging in I had to log out due to eyestrain. I don't know what person there thought that maybe drop shadows would be a good idea on text, but I think it's time you dock his/her pay and hire a human factors specialist.

Oh, and please get rid of the drop shadows.

T%iggs - its quite simple. Over the last year, players and correspondents alike have been asked repeatedly what they want, their feedback and for suggestions. This promptly dissapears into the giant black obelisk that is the SWG dev team. these suggestions are rarely if ever commented upon, the top picks that correspondents have been throwing up time after time after time have remained largely the same since launch.
Ill put forward my feedback on pub 10.2 - STOP DOING PUBLISHES!
do something else that takes care of the community, as in each publish, take one item off of the correspondents top 20 picks for profession problems and fix those - one for each profession. when the profession correspondents cant come up with any more bugs in their respective professions, then... feel free to go back to putting out publishes.

Publish 10.1 was supposed to be correspondents' issues. I guess that was delayed until after JTL too.

Personally I think the new font shadow helps a ton. I'm guessing people that are having issue with this its either your monitor itself or your settings. Looks great to me.

Im sure Tiggs has just named it wrong really, been new and all. its just an update like the one on 2nd sept.

Everything seems all well buti dont much care for most of this. I would have thought a FS xp conversion fix would have come out by now.

Btw I looked at it again, it's HotFix 10.2 hehehe. If you look in your swg directory. it's hotfix_p10_2.tre

So it's not really a publish.. However I do see a hotfix_p10_1.tre and hotfix_p10_0.tre.

So it was a mistake, it's not really a mini-publish heh..

Coming Mail Purge

We are making changes to the in-game email system to greatly improve its speed and stability. Mail that is older than 6 months and mail that is longer than 4096 characters will be deleted from your mailbox soon. Please use the /mailsave command to save any email you want to keep.

This is terrible news! I treasure my "welcome to Star Wars Galaxies" email from the first day Wanderhome came up... now it is going to be wiped along with my other emails? We only have one character per server; is $15/month not enough to save a few emails? I don't see why this is required. Please don't delete our emails!

Would be great for the hero quest to give the reward parts or the orb for those who completed parts or the quest way back. Bugged it in game before

what I find entertaining is the loading screen that mentioned to save our emails but gave a command to save them that does not work...

Worked for me.../mailsave

You need to look for the initial "saving X messages" AND THEN you need to look for the confirmation "X messages saved to blah/blah" took me like 5 minutes to have my mail saved.

(although I didn't try to retrieve them yet, oops. Is that what you're talking about?)

The command showing on my loading screen had /savemail not /mailsave

I love the font changes, the game finally looks clean and nice, instead of that horrible bloated text, I have no problem reading the text anywhere. Love it

I checked, and Que is an accepted abbreviation for queue.

Heh, cool that you caught that!!!
I can safely assume that you're not a your/you're person.

If a poisonous snake is dropped on top of you from a gyrocopter, don’t freak out and shoot your own driver with your arrow gun, making the vehicle lose control and blow up. Its probably just as scared as you are.

Have to agree that the text shadowing is really bad on the eyes after a while....

Other than that all seems well.... now how about something new to do ingame?

It's spelled:

QUE

not

CUE

This more than anything else scares me to death.

On the loading screen, with the 10.2 notes?

...added to combat CUE...
Should be
...added to combat QUE...

/sigh

Acutally its queue

I've learned to catch everything...after seeing that everything we ask for in this game is never commented on/impelemented. And yes, I am most definately a "you're" person.
