No, that's not the name of the game. It's whatever the players want to be within the system. I gave up crafting for a living long ago, but there's no reason why more obstacles should be placed in the way of single-account crafters who already have plenty of problems to deal with. Two lines in marksman is a great idea for those who want to go that route, and this cert issue isn't a problem for them. What about players who want to be crafters/healers/entertainers? Granted,a lotof them left long ago, but why continue to push them into extinction?
No really, balancing combat and non-combat skills is the name of the game. If you don't want combat skills that's fine, but you can't then complain that everything kills you. Everything should kill you because you've got NO combat skills. Mediocre mobs should be a problem for you, because you've got NO combat skills. Since you've got no combat skills, you also don't have any knowledge of weapon usage, and thusly you shouldn't be using powerful weaponry that your character doesn't know how to use.
It's a nerf. Everybody knew about the no-cert weapons for many months. If it was such an issue, why wasn't it fixed long ago? Here's an idea: [...]
If it was such an issue why wasn't it fixed long ago, you ask? Well, Carbineers have been broken since....... BETA, and they're just now getting partially fixed. Over half of the Pistoleer specials are either broken, pointless, useless, or a combination of all three. The two professions have been fighting to get even the tiniest amount of Dev loving, all while Chef gets revamped. The Republic Blaster was always an issue, but given how little attention the Devs have given to Pistoleers and Carbineers massive other problems it's no surprise it took forever for the certification to get fixed. It's a fix. It's a LONG overdue fix that wasn't even one of the high-priority fixes on the Pistoleer's list because the profession is over half crapped out. It's important to them, make no mistake, but don't start touting "if it's such an issue why wasn't it fixed long ago" when the game-breaking issues of completely busted specials that don't work in the slightest haven't been addressed since the game's Beta.
don't leave non-combatants totally defenseless.
That's the choice people make. If they choose to have little or no combat skills then they have to accept that they've got no decent means of defending themselves. People spend good skill points to be able to defend themselves, so whatever solution the crafters want can't come down to "free defense, no significant skill points spent" or else the combat people aren't going to be happy. They made the choice to have to combat skills, and they've got to live with that choice and the consequences of it.

"man" in these titles does not refer to sex, but to the race of "human".
Obviously if we are to have true equality in Star Wars Galaxies, these titles must change, but "Rifleperson" is an insult to those that aren't people (humans).
Therefore:
Change Rifleman to Riflebeing
Change Pikeman to Pikebeing
Change Swordsman to Swordsbeing
Change Forman to Forebeing
Enough of this humanist thing.

Haha, enough of the english language too I assume?
Pet invalidation seems to have been done without any consistancy. We have random pets going invalid with no way of determining why. Is it the HAM, the resists, the specials, or some other mystery factor hidden in an algo we can't even begin to guess at? I currently have well over 1 million credits worth of pet deeds sitting on my vendor, and no way to determine if they are valid short of pulling them and having each trained, thus negating the whole point of a pet deed vendor. I would appreciate anything from the devs to explain exactly how we can determine if a crafted pet will or won't be invalid before we sell it.
As for the crafting experimentation fiasco. It seems to be overlooked by so many people debating the good and bad points of that last patch that BE's do not have access to any skill enhancement tapes because they do not exist, and we do not use resources to create genetic templates. Yet, creature crafting was held to the same standards as resources with this patch. While other professions were helped a little or hurt a little, DNA template creation was essentially broken yesterday. If in the future you attempt to implement another similar change, please be sure to remove those checks from DNA template creation because DNA samples are too dissimilar from resources to adapt to the type of system that was used.
I doubt the people pushing for this change to come back would be as enthusiastic if it were weapons of buffs being broken.

Increase Exp for merchant professions.
Political Correctness....Heh.....
Actually, she would be correct. It would be proper way to have done it is modify the titles for gender.
Personally...I don't want them to be "Rifleperson" for both male and female....I think this just sounds stupid.
Closer to this:
Male Female
Rifleman Riflewoman
PikemanPikewoman
Hello Thunderheart,
Ever since Tuesday when Publish 7 came out i haven't been able to "Insure" my avatar. I'm on Corellia, Starsider where on Tuesday i had 3 deaths and 2 clones in Kor Vella and one in Aldera (pac). All of which i couldn't insure, the insurance terminal kept on reading "you have no insurable items".
When i look in my main inventory all my items have the lower case"i" on them. But, it seems i'm taking full decay damage to my gear after i clone.
I have no idea if this has been mentioned in the last 9 pages of this thread.
Hey look everyone, it's everything that's wrong with this world condensed into one post.

One of my customers cannot get his droid to follow him after the stay command. After stay command, he then says follow command when he's ready to move on and it won't go.
Ran some Jedi missions today. Brought back some of the old excitement from when i ran my first NPC bounties
Couple things i have noticed......
1- Jedi can hide in a battleground to avoid being attacked. They appear white (untargetable) in there.
