To JanuHull.

Since long time ago, I played lots of online games and all different kinds, likeChess,Age of Empires II,Combat Flight Sim,Asheron's Call, etc.etc. And I played both modes, PvE and PvP. In all thisgames I havealwaysseenallwhat you are refering in your post. Ina very hight porcentage ofcases of PvP this problemhas been there. All kind of cheaters.

But this, my friend, it's not a problem from the PvP mode, it's the problem of the Human Race!. It's a pity but that point we can't change.

Of course we can't generalize and say that every PvPer is a cheater (I've never did and I will never do)

But the question here in SWG is: If this game has been created to allow bothmode of players (PvP and PvE) first of all, take it easy, you have to assume it and don't get desperate. If this dual concept causes so many problems it's not the problem of the PvPers. It's the problem of the Devs. They knew (or they should have know it)which is the problematic about create a game that confrontsboth styles of playing in the same server.

Anyways I trust in the Devs, and I think there are so many possible solutions, that's why here is a forum opened to new ideas, suggestions andfeedbacks. To try to be constructive and to contribute with our all best wishesto get this game the best one.


Also Isincerely recomend you for once: justtry to play in the PvP mode, there is nothing more exciting in an online game!!! (under a fair play, of course )

With the new jedi system and JTL coming up, it the goal of the dev team to have everyplayer to have one Jedi/pilot character and one FS/mule by the end of the year? If it is or not that is what will happen. Holocron's killed entertaining professions, forced stat migration killed IDing, Two character per server will kill crafting professions and to finish the game off everybody will become jedi.

I 100% agree with your solution. It just seems so simple. If you're a covert and you group with an overt, you've just declared a side for as long as you're grouped with them and should be changed to Overt status. Once you leave/disband that group, the TEF should stay with you for a while. I don't think 1 hour is unreasonable, makes sense from the point of "going back into hiding." 5 minutes isn't enough to disassociate yourself.

Actually, I find the one hour covert timer to be a pretty ham handed way to force unwanted PvP exposure on players returning to covert status.


There are way to many penalties on interactions between overts and coverts to make people who maintain permanent overt status worthwhile.


Its a time sink that caters to griefers.

group tef doenst become a problem till there's a combat medic using it. Every other combat class can at least provide a fair fight covert/overt/tef whatever.

But I think if you were to make it where grouping with overts pushed you from covert into overt status, it should take a bit to switch back. You shouldn't be able to just drop from the group and be safe again. That would be just encourage another form of griefing.


The idea of grouping with overts making you an overt yourself for a while is simply an extension to the philosophy that "if you you want to PVP, you need to be an overt." But, it gives players more flexibility in the length of their participation.

Well, maybe Bobby Tom should have checked to see if "Marey Anne" was grouped with anyone else. Stupidity causes cancer. Stop trying to blame the game because you weren't bright enough to think just A LITTLE ahead. Most people have the ability to LEARN something. If you get wasted by grouped coverts, then maybe you could LEARN to expect that in the future. The game is A LOT more fun when you understand the basic mechanics of it. As for fair? If you want a fair fight, that's what duels are for. Last time I checked war wasn't supposed to be "fair." It's just naive to assume that an overt is not grouped. It's not the game's fault that you were stupid, so stop trying to blame the game.
Honestly, all it takes is a little thought to see the reasons why TEF or specifically GTEF exists. If you don't like how it works, learn and adapt, like the rest of us do.

I feel that the TEF should be kept ingame..but like someone else mentioned if you are covert and group with an Overt you Automatically get a TEF

I think the gtef is a viable point of the War I'm not a PVP type but i gotta beleive that in any war RL or not that if I attack a member of the enemy side his group is going to open up on me, War isn't some movie where a guy walks in to a town and fights all the enemies one at a time, granted that could be role playing to the extrem but hey its a matter of responsibility. Not fair? what about war is?

Admiitedly there are some matters that need fixed I think once your clone card gets pulled there needs to be a timer so you cant run right out and start fighting again.

Make us Master Brawler

and add 4 more trees past TKM (new title for Current TKM changed to TK Artist)that already exists

Give us a speed penalty when we use a VK


4 More trees would give the opportunity to make mediate regen faster(currently same as sitting)

and FOW timer lower and Power Boost better ( at least longer)


Or id rather see a quick Power Boost at 75% that we can do in battle


Make the new TKM weapon gloves with brass knucks or put spikes on it, another idea,

Would make craftable spikesthat act as a power up for boots.


Real TKM leave your Ideas i dont think any of this would make us

overpowered



4 new trees

2 for Meditate

1 for Sencing Force being USED not inactive jedi no mission terminal but make us track down a TKM NPC that must give us permission to "warn" the Jedi

1 that adds a few more moves with MINIMAL attack mods- maybe +15 for spd and damage in the whole tree another +10 at master


Make the XP for the Sencing line Combat

And make the XP needed like the BH weapon lines with 2 450k Boxes needed.

I wouldnt mind getting 2 450k boxes of combat xp and 6 450k boxes of unarmed
