my biggest problem is how hard it is too get ch xp now. It seems like the higher I go up the skills tree the more I am punished for wanting to use my higher pets. I am currently 4/3/2/4 and im still using my GSP because its the only way i can get xp. I am penalized when i use 2 pets and i am penalized when I use my highest level pet. I am intending to master it but it seems like ver since the patch it is almost impossible to get good xp when i go hunting.......

just my 2 cents

I'm seconding this, as it's the same problem I'm having. It's stupid that we can't use our higher-level pets as we progress. I don't see Marksmen being penalized for using a laser carbine over a CDEF, though certainly I see Pistoleers being penalized for using a DX2 (because it sucks).

CH have been nerfed to death, and this XP penalty makes it all the more difficult (and frustrating!) to master CH. As I mentioned above, last night's hunting netted 39K of trapping XP for my Ranger friend, but only 9K of CH XP for me (sigh).

Where to begin. So many minor or major problems. I guess just state that I have had all of the listed problems and an increase of the ones listed with the single exception of /tellpet.

Tellpet *ever* worked? boy not for me. My pets now routinely ignore me (been killed once since Publish 6 because of this) even in spatial. They even get stuck differently on a server boundry. Before all I had to do is yell or shout from a reasonable distance and they would startup again. Now I have to practically stand on them to get their attention. Further sometimes they completely ignored me even then. I was RP'ing (Kettemoor) so I slapped one of my GSP's. That is a really sad sight to see it cower. (Good RP graphic Devs. Well done). Also sometimes when they are stuck I just have to come back near them and they start moving again.

Oh and 2 other things

1 could the Guard command be fixed? It worked last november or so. Not any more. Well at least I can't tell if it is on or off and kicking sand in a MO's face to see if my cats will defend me seems even more annoying then building yet another camp to recover an autostored (pet/bike).

2. A new feature. Could you make it so the commands to pets are case *INsensitive? It is my fault for pushing the caps lock key I know but still a K or k look almost the same and it takes me a while to realize why the pet is ignoring me. (at least f and F are different enough

One problem other than the many others posted here, of which I have experienced many, is thattaming seems to be messed up sincethe patch. I have room in my datapad, and the pet is well within what I should be able to tame. But if the pet is too high level for me to be able to call when full grown, I can't tame it. Even with my clothes which give me insane taming bonuses.

I have a serious issue with CH XP. Why is it so ridiculously slow?

Last night I was hunting with a couple of friends on Dathomir. We were pinging spiders and mites, for the ultra-high-quality insect meat I need for pet stims.

In the two hours we where there, my friend managed to cap out his trapping XP after gaining 39,000 XP. We have no idea how much more he'd have gotten had he not capped.

In the same two hours, I managed to get a measly 9,000 CH XP.

How the hell am I ever supposed to reach Master at this rate?

I was fighting with a CL 34 bio-engineered slice hound. Some would say that's the problem. But frankly, even this beastie was getting the crap kicked out of him when the gaping spiders would gang up on him. I probably went through four 29/718 pet stims just healing him back up. Anything less than this particular pet would have had a much more difficult time.

Let's look at this. 9,000 XP in two hours. Each of the Level 4 boxes requires 140,000 XP to complete. That's 560,000 XP, plus I still have Empathy II and Empathy III to complete. Another 130,000, for 690,000 XP. Divide that by 9,000 and I'm looking at almost 77 additional hours of straight combat to reach Master.

It's absurd.

I've already concluded that, as a BE, it's more efficient for me to sit outside Tyrena sampling yard trash, and cloning, taming and training gnorts, at 1,300 XP apiece. But this isn't something just anybody can do.

Further, that my friend can get 39K+ of trapping XP in the same two hours I get 9K of CH XP is just absurd. Why has there been so much focus on combat balance, but none on XP balance?

Is it the Dev' intention to completely destroy the CH profession?

I run Enraged Rancor missions to get CH xp about 1100 xp per Rancor. I get about 100K CH xp in an hour.

I believe each hunt should be geared as to what you are trying to accomplish, the type of hunting you were doing was for collecting Insect meat and shouldn't be used for CH xp.

Gaping Spiders are only level 26 I believe and CH xp is based on what level the pet is compared to the MOB.I use 4pet stimpack c's every few minutes on my Graul when the Rancors gang up on him.

I believe what we are seeing the last week is intended to destroy the CH profession. If not why are we getting no response to the many posts here?

oh , non case sensitive commands would be tops, as

your command = a

You see you command on screenwithout capslock on as = A

You see you command on screen with capslock on as = A

so it takes a while before you notice

There have been some reports regarding Creature Handlers and Pets.

1. What are your issues?

a. All of my pets are on top of me when I pull them out.

b. Special commands STILL broken (i.e. special attacks, ranged attacks, patrol, befriend)

c. All pets, even uber rares and BE pets are craptastic in PvP.

d. Stop the hideous vitality loss of pets when engage in PvP.

e. All of my pets have experienced random disappearances sometimes in combat sometimes while following me.

f. All pets randomly run away from combat.

2. What is the Pet description, specifically (type/level, etc)?

The above has occurred to all of my pets atmultiple levelson one occassion or another.

3. Was it a Bio engineered pet or a tamed pet?

Both

Thanks for your input.

My pets stored multiple times last weekend on there own. This was both during battles and while walking around. My question to you TH, is where is the lift on camp requirements you spoke of? I thought it would be in publish 6. Since 6 came out, my pet has auto-stored more than it ever did before. Please hot-fix the already decided upon quick fixresolution, lifting the camp requirements.

I use a Grurrcat level 29 and a Cupa level 11 for xp...

my problems are:

*Mypetsspend 2-3 seconds fighting and then start running. It does not matter the enemy, its the same against an ancient graul mauler and a dwarf nuna. its not a matter of cowardy, cos when you observe what happens, my pet seems to look for a optimal attack range, cos he is like running and turning to face the enemy, but as the enemy pursues him, my pet is always moving away.

* The big pets do not let me see cos they stand exactly in the same point as i am

* Feeding is 100% aleatory, i have travel biscuits and muon gold in the inventory and sometimes the pet eats biscuits and sometimes spice

* Autostoring: randomly, almost in half of my fights, my pet dissapears and autostores in datapad.

* Pets do not use their special attacks when told... never. They use them 1 time out of 50 attacks and only if i do not tell him to do so.

* Some babys are more than difficult to find. Is not normal to have only a few people in all the universe with, for example, bull rancors. Im not saying to make them widely available, but at least 1 beast per galaxy everyday shouldappear in missions...

* What the manual says about feeding and fighting with your pets to make them grow bigger is not working at all. In fact, they are weaker than some wild animals as they use their special attacks less times and run away from combat.

CH are needed in this game... i cant remember a chef or a tailor in the films (sorry chefs and tailors) but we all remember the fatty rancor handler in Jabbas Palace...

thanks for your time reading this

Although I had accepted this before, I think it is really an issue. The weapon argument is a good one. I can get max damage and max xp out of a weapon, but to get max damage out of a pet, I have to sacrifice a ton of xp.

In a perfect world, this wouldn't really be too bad, size up the opponent and throw something appropriate against it. But, and it does seem more prevalent since publish 6, many of the lairs have 3 or 4 different variations of the same creature. On some of them, I'll get 1 point xp and others get 400. To get max xp, a low level pet would be roadkill in a few seconds against the uber creatures of the lair. Plus, with the erratic behaviors reported here (and I've seen em all), the control is tough and it may be tough to send the pet in fora few hits.

5 Days later, 9 pages of feedback = zilch for fix. This is very disappointing. I really don't pay my 15.00 a month to watch Rancors run from Roba's.
